ਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਬਾਨਲਗਿਯੋਉਰਮੈਗਡਕੈਸੋਊਪੰਖਨਲਉਸੁਗਯੋਹੈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ (ਜੋ) ਬਾਣ ਵਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਤਕ ਧਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
An arrow struck the chest of Krishna and penetrated upto the feathers
ਸ੍ਰਉਨਕੇਸੰਗਿਭਰਿਯੋਸਰਅੰਗਬਿਲੋਕਿਤਬੈਹਰਿਕੋਪਭਯੋਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ) ਬਾਣ ਦਾ ਆਕਾਰ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
The arrow was filled with blood and seeing his blood flowing out from his limbs, Krishna was highly enraged
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਜਸੁਉਚਮਹਾਕਬਿਨੇਕਹਿਕੈਇਹਭਾਤਦਯੋਹੈ॥
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਛਬੀ ਦਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਯਸ਼ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਮਾਨਹੁਤਛਕਕੋਲਰਿਕਾਖਗਰਾਜਲਖਿਯੋਗਹਿਨੀਲਲਯੋਹੈ॥੧੦੯੨॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਤੱਛਕ (ਨਾਗ) ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗਰੁੜ ਨੇ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਨਿਗਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੦੯੨॥
This spectacle appears like Garuda, the king of birds, swallowing the son of the great serpent Takshak.1092.
ਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਸਰਾਸਨਲੈਰਿਸਕੈਸਰੁਰਾਜਨਬੀਚਕਸਾ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ।
In great fury, Krishna tightened the arrow on the string of the bow and discharged it towards Gaj Singh
ਗਜਸਿੰਘਕੋਬਾਨਅਚਾਨਹਨ੍ਯੋਗਿਰਭੂਮਿਪਰਿਯੋਜਨਸਾਪਡਸਾ॥
ਗਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ, ਮਾਨੋ ਸੱਪ ਲੜ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
Gaj Singh fell down on the earth as if a snake had stung him
ਹਰਿਸਿੰਘਜੁਠਾਢੋਹੁਤੋਤਿਹਪੈਸੋਊਭਾਜਗਯੋਤਿਹਪੇਖਿਦਸਾ॥
ਹਰਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋ ਉਥੇ ਖੜੋਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਉਤੇ (ਨਿਸ਼ਾਣਾ ਸਾਧਿਆ) (ਪਰ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦਸ਼ਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਭਜ ਗਿਆ।
ਮਨੋਸਿੰਘਕੋਰੂਪਨਿਹਾਰਤਹੀਨਟਿਕਿਯੋਜੁਚਲਿਯੋਸਟਕਾਇਸਸਾ॥੧੦੯੩॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਹਿਆ (ਉਥੇ) ਟਿਕ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਖਿਸਕ ਚਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੦੯੩॥
Hari Singh who was standing near him, seeing his plight, fled away like a hare seeing the figure of a lion.1093.
ਹਰਿਸਿੰਘਜਬੈਤਜਿਖੇਤਚਲਿਯੋਰਨਸਿੰਘਉਠਿਯੋਪੁਨਿਕੋਪਭਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਹਰਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ, (ਤਦ) ਫਿਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਠਿਆ।
When Hari Singh ran away from the battlefield, then Ran Singh arose again in great ire
ਧਨੁਬਾਨਸੰਭਾਰਕੈਪਾਨਿਲਯੋਬਹੁਰੋਬਲਿਕੋਰਨਿਜੁਧੁਕਰਿਯੋ॥
ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
He held up his bow and arrows using his strength and began to fight
ਉਨਹੂੰਪੁਨਿਬੀਚਅਯੋਧਨਕੇਹਰਿਕੋਲਲਕਾਰਕੈਇਉਉਚਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਅਬਜਾਤਕਹਾਥਿਰੁਹੋਹੁਘਰੀਹਮਰੇਅਸਿਕਾਲਕੇਹਾਥਪਰਿਯੋ॥੧੦੯੪॥
(ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ!) ਹੁਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਕਿਥੇ ਹੈਂ, ਘੜੀ ਕੁ ਖੜਿਆ ਰਹਿ, ਖੜਗ ਰੂਪ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੦੯੪॥
He challenged Krishna in the field saying “now stop for a while, where are you going? You have fallen in the hands of death.”1094.
ਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋਰਨਸਿੰਘਜਬੈਹਰਿਸਿੰਘਤਬੈਸੁਨਿਕੈਮੁਸਕਾਨ੍ਰਯੋ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਹਰਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਸ ਪਿਆ।
When Ran Singh said these words, then Hari Singh smiled
ਆਇਅਰਿਯੋਹਰਿਸਿਉਧਨੁਲੈਰਨਕੀਛਿਤਤੇਨਹੀਪੈਗਪਰਾਨ੍ਰਯੋ॥
ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਅੜ ਖੜੋਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਕਦਮ ਵੀ ਪਿਛੇ ਨਾ ਹਟਿਆ।
He also came forward in order to fight with Krishna and did not recede
ਕੋਪਕੈਬਾਤਕਹੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਸੋਮੈਇਹਲਛਨਤੇਪਹਚਾਨ੍ਯੋ॥
ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ (ਕਿ) ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ (ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਆਇਕੈਜੁਧਕੀਓਹਮਸੋਸੁਭਲੀਬਿਧਿਕਾਲਕੇਹਾਥਬਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਯੋ॥੧੦੯੫॥
ਜੋ ਆ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ (ਤੂੰ) ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੦੯੫॥
He addressed Krishna in anger, “He, who fights with me, consider him fallen in the hands of death.”1095.
ਯੌਸੁਨਕੈਬਤੀਆਤਿਹਕੀਹਰਿਜੂਧਨੁਲੈਕਰਮੈਮੁਸਕ੍ਰਯੋਹੈ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਸੇ ਹਨ।
Hearing his words, Krishna took his bow in his hand
ਦੀਰਘੁਗਾਤਲਖਿਯੋਤਬਹੀਸਰਛਾਡਿਦਯੋਅਰਸੀਸਤਕ੍ਰਯੋਹੈ॥
ਤਦ ਹੀ (ਵੈਰੀ ਦਾ) ਲੰਬਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Seeing his large body and aiming his arrow on his head, he discharged it
ਬਾਨਲਗਿਯੋਹਰਿਸਿੰਘਤਬੈਸਿਰਟੂਟਿਪਰਿਯੋਧਰਠਾਢੋਰਹਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਤਦ ਹਰਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਣ ਲਗਿਆ, (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸਿਰ ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧੜ ਖੜੋਤਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
With the stroke of his arrow, the head of Hari Singh was chopped and his trunk remained standing
ਮੇਰੁਕੇਸ੍ਰਿੰਗਹੁਤੇਉਤਰਿਯੋਸੁਮਨੋਰਵਿਅਸਤਕੋਪ੍ਰਾਤਿਭਯੋਹੈ॥੧੦੯੬॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਉਤਰ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਥਵਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਆਥਣ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੦੯੬॥
The redness of blood on his body seemed to suggest that the sun of his head on Sumeru mountain had set and again the redness of the early morn was spreading.
ਮਾਰਲਯੋਹਰਿਸਿੰਘਜਬੈਰਨਸਿੰਘਤਬੈਹਰਿਊਪਰਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਹਰਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਉਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
When Krishna killed Hari Singh, then Ran Singh fell upon him
ਬਾਨਕਮਾਨਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਗਦਾਗਹਿਕੈਕਰਮੈਅਤਿਜੁਧਮਚਾਯੋ॥
ਬਾਣ, ਕਮਾਨ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਗਦਾ (ਆਦਿਕ ਹਥਿਆਰ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ।
He waged a dreadful war holding his weapons bow and arrows, swords, mace etc.
ਕੌਚਸਜੇਨਿਜਅੰਗਮਹਾਲਖਿਕੈਕਬਿਨੇਇਹਬਾਤਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਪਰ ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਵਚ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਕਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸੁਣਾਇਆ।
ਮਾਨਹੁਮਤਕਰੀਬਨਮੈਰਿਸਕੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਰਾਜਕੇਊਪਰਆਯੋ॥੧੦੯੭॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਮਸਤ ਹਾਥੀ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਉਪਰ (ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੦੯੭॥
Seeing his limbs bedecked with his armour, the poet says that it appeared to him that an intoxicated elephant, in his fury, fell upon a lion.1097.
ਆਇਕੇਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਜੁਧੁਕਰਿਯੋਰਨਕੀਛਿਤਿਤੇਪਗੁਏਕਨਭਾਗਿਯੋ॥
ਆ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਕਦਮ ਵੀ ਪਿਛੇ ਨਾ ਹਟਿਆ।
He came and fought with Krishna and did not even recede one step
ਫੇਰਿਗਦਾਗਹਿਕੈਕਰਮੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਖਨਕੋਤਨੁਤਾੜਨਲਾਗਿਯੋ॥
ਫਿਰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਗਦਾ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਟਣ ਲਗਿਆ।
Then he took up his mace in his hand and began to strike his blows on the body of Krishna
ਸੋਮਧਸੂਦਨਜੂਲਖਿਯੋਰਸਰੁਦ੍ਰਬਿਖੈਅਤਿਇਹਪਾਗਿਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਰੌਦਰ ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਡੁਬਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਸ੍ਰੀਹਰਿਚਕ੍ਰਲਯੋਕਰਮੈਭੂਅਬਕ੍ਰਕਰੀਰਿਸਸੋਅਨੁਰਾਗਿਯੋ॥੧੦੯੮॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ (ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ) ਚੱਕਰ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭੌਆਂ ਟੇਡੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੦੯੮॥
Seeing all this, Krishna was filled with great anger, he tilted his eyebrows and took his discus in his hand in order to knock him down on the ground.1098.
ਲੈਬਰਛੀਰਨਸਿੰਘਤਬੈਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੇਮਾਰਨਕਾਜਚਲਾਈ॥
ਤਦ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਬਰਛੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਜਾਇਲਗੀਹਰਿਕੋਅਨਚੇਤਦਈਭੁਜਫੋਰਕੈਪਾਰਿਦਿਖਾਈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਅਚਨਚੇਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਲਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਂਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦਿਸਣ ਲਗ ਗਈ।
At the same time, taking his danger in his hand, Ran Singh gave its blow to Krishna, the Yadava hero, in order to kill him
ਲਾਗਰਹੀਪ੍ਰਭਕੇਤਨਸਿਉਉਪਮਾਤਿਹਕੀਕਬਿਭਾਖਿਸੁਨਾਈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਗੀ ਰਹੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈ,
It suddenly struck Krishna and tearing his right arm, it penetrated to the other side
ਮਾਨਹੁਗ੍ਰੀਖਮਕੀਰੁਤਿਭੀਤਰਨਾਗਨਿਚੰਦਨਸਿਉਲਪਟਾਈ॥੧੦੯੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੀ ਰੁਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਗਨ ਚੰਦਨ (ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ) ਨਾਲ ਲਿਪਟੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੦੯੯॥
Piercing the body of Krishna it appeared like a female serpent coiling a sandalwood tree in summer season.1099.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਉਖਾਰਕੈਸੋਬਰਛੀਭੁਜਤੇਅਰਿਮਾਰਨਹੇਤਚਲਾਈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਬਰਛੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
Krishna extracting the same dagger from his arm, set it in motion in order to kill the enemy
ਬਾਨਨਕੇਘਨਬੀਚਚਲੀਚਪਲਾਕਿਧੌਹੰਸਕੀਅੰਸਤਚਾਈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਲੰਘੀ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਨ ਖਿਚੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
It struck like lighting within the clouds of arrows and appeared like a flying swan
ਜਾਇਲਗੀਤਿਹਕੇਤਨਮੈਉਰਿਫੋਰਿਦਈਉਹਿਓਰਦਿਖਾਈ॥
ਉਸ (ਵੈਰੀ) ਦੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਲਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਛਾਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੋੜ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦਿਸਣ ਲਗੀ।
It hit the body of Ran Singh and his chest was seen torn down
ਕਾਲਿਕਾਮਾਨਹੁਸ੍ਰਉਨਭਰੀਹਨਿਸੁੰਭਨਿਸੁੰਭਕੋਮਾਰਨਧਾਈ॥੧੧੦੦॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਬੜੀ ਕਾਲਕਾ ਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਿਸ਼ੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਧਾਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੧੦੦॥
It seemed like Durga, steeped in blood, going to kill Shumbh and Nishumbh.1100.
ਰਨਸਿੰਘਜਬੈਰਣਿਸਾਗਹਨ੍ਯੋਧਨਸਿੰਘਤਬੈਕਰਿਕੋਪੁਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਰਛੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦ ਧਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ।
ਧਾਇਪਰਿਯੋਕਰਿਲੈਬਰਛਾਲਲਕਾਰਕੈਸ੍ਰੀਹਰਿਊਪਰਿਝਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਬਰਛਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਉਪਰ ਝਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
When Ran Singh was killed with the dagger, then Dhan Singh ran in fury and taking his spear in his hand white shouting, he inflicted a blow on Krishna
ਆਵਤਸੋਲਖਿਯੋਘਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਨਿਕਾਰਕੈਖਗਸੁਦੁਇਕਰਿਡਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਬਰਛੇ ਨੂੰ) ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕਢ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਭੂਮਿਦੁਟੂਕਹੋਇਟੂਟਪਰਿਯੋਸੁਮਨੋਖਗਰਾਜਬਡੋਅਹਿਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੧੦੧॥
(ਉਹ ਬਰਛਾ) ਦੋ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ, ਮਾਨੋ ਗਰੁੜ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੱਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੧੦੧॥
Seeing him coming, Krishna took out his sword and with his blow, chopped the enemy into two halves and this spectacle appeared as if the Garuda had killed a huge serpent.1101.
ਘਾਉਬਚਾਇਕੈਸ੍ਰੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਸਰਾਸਨੁਲੈਅਰਿਊਪਰਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਉਪਰ ਆ ਪਏ।
Saving himself from getting wounded, Krishna took up bow and arrows and fell upon the enemy
ਚਾਰਮਹੂਰਤਜੁਧਭਯੋਹਰਿਘਾਇਨਹੁਇਉਹਿਕੋਨਹੀਘਾਯੋ॥
ਚਾਰ ਮਹੂਰਤ ਤਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, (ਪਰ) ਨਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਘਾਇਲ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਾਓ ਲਗਾ।
Battle was fought for four maburats (span of time), in which neither the enemy was killed, nor Krishna was wounded
ਰੋਸਕੈਬਾਨਹਨ੍ਯੋਹਰਿਕਉਹਰਿਹੂੰਤਿਹਖੈਚਕੈਬਾਨਲਗਾਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ, (ਇਧਰੋਂ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰਿਆ।
The enemy in his ragedischarged an arrow on Krishna and from this side Krishna also shot his arrow by pulling his bow
ਦੇਖਰਹਿਯੋਮੁਖਸ੍ਰੀਹਰਿਕੋਹਰਿਹੂੰਮੁਖਦੇਖਰਹਿਯੋਮੁਸਕਾਯੋ॥੧੧੦੨॥
(ਉਹ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਇਧਰ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਮੁਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੧੦੨॥
He began to look at the face of Krishna and from this side Krishna on seeing him smilled.1102.
ਸ੍ਰੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੋਬੀਰਬਲੀਅਸਿਲੈਕਰਮੈਧਨਸਿੰਘਪੈਧਾਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ (ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ) ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਧਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਪਰ ਆ ਪਿਆ।

ਆਵਤਹੀਲਲਕਾਰਪਰਿਯੋਗਜਿਮਾਨਹੁਕੇਹਰਿਕਉਡਰਪਾਯੋ॥
ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ, ਮਾਨੋ ਹਾਥੀ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਵੇ।
While coming, he shouted so loudly, when it seemed that the elephant had frightened the lion
ਤਉਧਨਸਿੰਘਸਰਾਸਨੁਲੈਸਰਸੋਤਿਹਕੋਸਿਰਭੂਮਿਗਿਰਾਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਹੀ ਧਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
Taking up his bow and arrows Dhan Singh threw his head on the earth
ਜਿਉਅਹਿਰਾਜਕੇਆਨਨਭੀਤਰਆਨਿਪਰਿਯੋਮ੍ਰਿਗਜਾਨਨਪਾਯੋ॥੧੧੦੩॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਜਗਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਹਿਰਨ ਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧੧੦੩॥
This spectacle seemed like this that a deer had unknowingly fallen in the mouth of a boa.1103.
