ਬਸੁਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਰਥ ਦੇ ਪਹੀਏ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
Vasudev with his bow and arrows cut down all the four wheels of the chariot
ਸਾਤਕਿਸੂਤਕੋਸੀਸਕਟਿਯੋਰਿਸਿਊਧਵਬਾਨਅਨੇਕਚਲਾਏ॥
ਸਾਤਕ ਨੇ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾਏ।
Satyak chopped the head of his charioteer and Udhava also in his fury discharged many arrows
ਫਾਧਿਪਰਿਯੋਰਥਤੇਤਤਕਾਲਲਏਅਸਿਢਾਲਬਡੇਭਟਘਾਏ॥੧੧੬੨॥
(ਰਾਜਾ ਅਣਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਤੁਰਤ ਰਥ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਦ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਤੇ ਢਾਲ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੧੧੬੨॥
The king Anag Singh jumped instantly out of his chariod and killed may warriors with the sword.1162.
ਠਾਢੋਹੁਤੋਭਟਸ੍ਰੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੋਸੋਅਣਗੇਸਜੂਨੈਨਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਖੜੋਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਣਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ।
ਪਾਇਨਕੀਕਰਿਚੰਚਲਤਾਬਰਸੋਅਸਿਸਤ੍ਰਕੇਸੀਸਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਫੁਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
The king Anag Singh saw the warriors of Krishna standing, he then speedily struck the blow of his sword on the head of the enemy
ਟੂਟਿਪਰਿਯੋਝਟਦੈਕਟਿਯੋਸਿਰਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਕਬਿਭਾਉਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਜਦ ਅਣਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਟੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਝਟਕਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਦੇ ਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਨਹੁਰਾਹੁਨਿਸਾਕਰਕੋਨਭਿਮੰਡਲਤੇਹਨਿਕੈਛਿਤਿਡਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੧੬੩॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਰਾਹੂ ਨੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਾਸ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੧੬੩॥
The head of the enemy fell on the ground like Rahu killing and throwing down on the earth, the moon from the sky.1163.
ਕੂਦਿਚੜਿਯੋਅਰਿਕੇਰਥਊਪਰਿਸਾਰਥੀਕਉਬਧਕੈਤਬਹੀ॥
ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਕੁਦ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਵਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਧਨੁਬਾਨਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਗਦਾਬਰਛੀਅਰਿਕੇਕਰਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਲਏਸਬਹੀ॥
ਧਨੁਸ਼, ਬਾਣ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਗਦਾ, ਬਰਛੀ (ਆਦਿਕ ਹਥਿਆਰ) ਵੈਰੀ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
After killing the charioteer of the enemy, the king mounted on his chariot and carried his weapons bow and arrows, sword, mace and spear in his hands
ਰਥਆਪਹੀਹਾਕਹੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਮਧਿਜਾਦਵਸੈਨਪਰਿਯੋਜਬਹੀ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰ ਕੇ ਯਾਦਵ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਿਆ,
He himself began to drive his chariot within the Yadava army
ਇਕਮਾਰਿਲਏਇਕਭਾਜਿਗਏਇਕਠਾਢਿਭਏਤੇਊਨਦਬਹੀ॥੧੧੬੪॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਇਕਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਕ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਇਕ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਦਬਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ॥੧੧੬੪॥
With his blows someone was killed, someone fled away and someone being wonder-struck, kept standing.1164.
ਆਪਨਹੀਰਥਹਾਕਤਹੈਅਰੁਆਪਨਹੀਸਰਜਾਲਚਲਾਵੈ॥
(ਉਹ) ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਹਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਛਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Now he himself is driving the chariot and showering his arrows
ਆਪਨਹੀਰਿਪੁਘਾਇਬਚਾਵਤਆਪਨਹੀਅਰਿਘਾਇਲਗਾਵੈ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਾਓ ਤੋਂ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਾਓ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He himself is safe from the blows of the enemy and is himself inflicting blows on the enemy
ਏਕਨਕੇਧਨੁਬਾਨਕਟੇਭਟਏਕਨਕੇਰਥਕਾਟਿਗਿਰਾਵੈ॥
ਇਕਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਟ ਸੁਟੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਥ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
He has chopped the bow of some warrior and has shattered someone’s chariot
ਦਾਮਨਿਜਿਉਦਮਕੈਘਟਮੈਕਰਮੈਕਰਵਾਰਹਿਤਿਉਚਮਕਾਵੈ॥੧੧੬੫॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਬਦਲ ਵਿਚ ਚਮਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਚਮਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੧੬੫॥
The sword in his hand is shining like the flash of lightning amongst the coulds.1165.
ਮਾਰਿਕੈਬੀਰਘਨੇਰਨਮੈਬਹੁਕੋਪਕੈਦਾਤਨਓਠਚਬਾਵੈ॥
ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੋਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚਬਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The king Anag Singh, after killing many warriors in the battlefield, is cutting his lips with his teeth
ਆਵਤਜੋਇਹਕੇਅਰਿਊਪਰਿਬਾਨਨਸਿਉਤਿਹਕਾਟਿਗਿਰਾਵੈ॥
ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਇਸ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Whosoever falls upon him, he chops and throws him down
ਧਾਇਪਰੈਰਿਪੁਕੇਦਲਮੈਦਲਕੈਮਲਕੈਬਹੁਰੋਫਿਰਿਆਵੈ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਲ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He has fallen upon the enemy’s army and is destroying it
ਜੁਧੁਕਰੈਨਡਰੈਹਰਿਸੋਅਰਿਕੇਰਥਕੋਬਲਿਓਰਿਚਲਾਵੈ॥੧੧੬੬॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੜ ਕੇ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਵਲ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੧੬੬॥
He does not have any fear of Krishna, while fighting and with great effort is driving his chariot towards Balram.1166.

ਜਦ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਕੜਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਦ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਲ ਵਧਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
ਜਾਦਵਪ੍ਰਤਿਹਰਿਯੌਕਹਿਯੋਦੁਬਿਧਾਕਰਿਹਨਿਲੇਹੁ॥੧੧੬੭॥
ਯਾਦਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ('ਦੁਬਿਧਾ') ਨਾਲ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਰ ਲਵੋ ॥੧੧੬੭॥
When the enemy waged the dreadful war, Krishna marched towards him and said to the Yadavas, “Kill him by fighting with him from both sides.”1167.

ਸਾਤਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਸੁਟਿਆ।
Satyak shattered his chariot and Krishna also began killing violently
ਸੂਤਕੋਸੀਸਕਟਿਯੋਮੁਸਲੀਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤਅੰਗਪ੍ਰਤੰਗਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੇ (ਅਣਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਅੰਗ ਤੋੜ ਸੁਟੇ।
Balram chopped the head of his charioteer and struck blows on the limbs protected by armour
ਬਾਨਅਕ੍ਰੂਰਹਨ੍ਯੋਉਰਮੈਤਿਹਜੋਰਲਗਿਯੋਨਹਿਨੈਕੁਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਅਕਰੂਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰਿਆ, (ਬਾਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਲਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸੰਭਲ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ।
The arrow of Akrur hit him so fiercely that he could not control himself
ਮੂਰਛਹ੍ਵੈਰਨਭੂਮਿਗਿਰਿਯੋਅਸਿਲੈਕਰਿਊਧਵਸੀਸਉਤਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੧੬੮॥
ਮੂਰਛਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਊਧਵ ਨੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੧੬੮॥
He fell unconscious in the battlefield and Udhava chopped his head with his sword.1168.

ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿਕੀਸੈਨਤੇਚਲੇਚਤ੍ਰਨ੍ਰਿਪਅਉਰ॥੧੧੬੯॥
ਤਦ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਚਲ ਪਏ ॥੧੧੬੯॥
When the six warriors together killed Anag Singh, then four kings of the army of Jarasandh marched forward.1169.

ਬਲਵਾਨ ਅਮਿਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮਹਾਨ ਅਚਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਨਘ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੁਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਲੇ ਹਨ।
The four kings Amitesh, Achilesh, Aghnesh and Asuresh Singh marched forward
ਬਾਨਕਮਾਨਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਬਡੇਬਰਛੇਪਰਸੇਸੁਗਦਾਗਹਿਆਏ॥
ਬਾਣ, ਕਮਾਨ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਵੱਡੇ ਬਰਛੇ, ਕੁਹਾੜੇ, ਗਦਾ (ਆਦਿਕ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਫੜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਏ ਹਨ।
They were holding bows, arrows, swords, spears, maces and axes,
ਰੋਸਕੈਬੀਰਨਿਸੰਕਭਿਰੇਭਟਕੇਨਟਿਕੇਭਟਓਘਪਰਾਏ॥
ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਯੋਧਾ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਗੇ) ਟਿਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਆਇਘਿਰਿਯੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਖਨਕਉਮਧੁਦੂਖਨਕਉਬਹੁਬਾਨਲਗਾਏ॥੧੧੭੦॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਆ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਧੁ (ਦੈਂਤ) ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ) ਬਹੁਤ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੧੭੦॥
They fought furiously and fearlessly, considering everyone alien to them and surrounding Krishna, they began to shower arrows upon him.1170.
ਘਾਇਨਕਉਸਹਿਕੈਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਜਸਰਾਸਨਲੈਸਰਲੇਤਭਯੋ॥
ਘਾਓਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਜਨਾਥ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ।
ਅਸੁਰੇਸਹਿਕੋਸਿਰਕਾਟਿਦਯੋਅਮਿਤੇਸਕੀਦੇਹਬਿਦਾਰਿਛਯੋ॥
ਅਸੁਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਿਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Enduring the anguish of his wounds, Krishna held up his bow and arrows and cutting the head of Asuresh, he slashed the body of Amitesh
ਅਨਘੇਸਕੋਕਾਟਿਦੁਖੰਡਕੀਯੋਮ੍ਰਿਤਹ੍ਵੈਰਥਤੇਗਿਰਿਭੂਮਿਪਯੋ॥
ਅਨਘ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਦੋ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਥ ਉਤੋਂ ਡਿਗ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਪਿਆ।
Aghnesh was cut into two parts, he fell upon the ground from his chariot,
ਅਚਲੇਸਜੂਬਾਨਨਕੋਸਹਿਕੈਫਿਰਿਠਾਢਿਰਹਿਯੋਨਹਿਭਾਜਿਗਯੋ॥੧੧੭੧॥
ਅਚਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਡਟਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੧੭੧॥
But Achlesh stood there enduring the shower of arrows and did not run away.1171.
ਕੋਪਕੈਬੋਲਤਯੌਹਰਿਕੋਰਨਸਿੰਘਤੇਆਦਿਤੈਬੀਰਖਪਾਏ॥
(ਅਚਲ ਸਿੰਘ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੋਲਣ ਲਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਦਿ (ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ) ਤੂੰ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ।
He spoke to Krishna in anger, “You have killed many of our brave fighters
ਤੋਤੇਕਹੀਗਜਸਿੰਘਹਨ੍ਯੋਅਣਗੇਸਜੂਤੈਛਲਸਾਥਗਿਰਾਏ॥
ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਗਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਣਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਛਲ ਨਾਲ (ਮਾਰ ਕੇ) ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
You killed Gaj Singh and also killed Anag Singh by deception
ਜਾਨਤਹੌਅਮਿਤੇਸਬਲੀਧਨਸਿੰਘਸੰਘਾਰਕੈਬੀਰਕਹਾਏ॥
(ਤੂੰ) ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਅਮਿਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਬਹਾਦਰ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਸੋਤਬਲਉਗਜਗਾਜਤਹੈਜਬਲਉਬਨਮੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਰਾਜਨਆਏ॥੧੧੭੨॥
ਤਦ ਤਕ ਹੀ ਹਾਥੀ ਗਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਤਕ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੧੭੨॥

ਯੌਕਹਿਕੈਬਤੀਯਾਹਰਿਸੋਅਭਿਮਾਨਭਰੇਧਨੁਬਾਨਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ।
ਕਾਨਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਸਰਾਸਨਤਾਨਿਮਹਾਸਰਤੀਛਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੋਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਕੰਨ ਤਕ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਿਖਾ ਤੀਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Saying this, he proudly held up his bow and arrows and pulling his bow upto his ear, he discharged his sharp arrow on Krishna
ਲਾਗਗਯੋਹਰਿਕੇਉਰਮੈਹਰਿਜੂਨਹਿਆਵਤਨੈਨਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਬਾਣ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਲਗਿਆ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਬਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
ਮੂਰਛਤਹ੍ਵੈਰਥਮਾਝਿਗਿਰੇਤਜਿਕੈਰਨਲੈਪ੍ਰਭਸੂਤਪਧਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੧੭੩॥
(ਫਲਸਰੂਪ) ਮੂਰਛਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਥ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੧੭੩॥
Krishna did not see the coming arrow, therefore it hit him in the chest, therefore he became unconscious and fell down in his chariot and his charioteer drove off his chariot.1173.
ਏਕਮਹੂਰਤਬੀਤਿਗਯੋਤਬਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਪੈਜਦੁਬੀਰਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਇਕ ਮਹੂਰਤ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
