ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਢੀਠਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਣ ਲਗਿਆ ॥੧੨੦੪॥
Aghar Singh did not run away even in being such a bad plight and confronting Krishna, spoke without feeling ashamed.1204.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਅਡਰਸਿੰਘਤੈਛਲਸੋਮਾਰਿਓ॥
ਤੂੰ ਅਡਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਛਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
He said to Krishna, “You have killed Addar Singh fraudulently
ਅਜਬਸਿੰਘਕਰਿਕਪਟਖਪਾਯੋ॥
ਅਜਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕਪਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਖਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਹਸਭਭੇਦਹਮੋਲਖਿਪਾਯੋ॥੧੨੦੫॥
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਭੇਦ ਮੈਂ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੨੦੫॥
You have also killed Ajaib Singh Dishonestly and I know this secret very well.”1205.

ਅਘੜ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ।
Aghar Singh spoke extremely fearlessly in front of Krishna
ਬਚਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਂਜੇਕਹੇਸੋਕਬਿਕਹਿਤਸੁਨਾਇ॥੧੨੦੬॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਬੋਲ ਕਹੇ, ਉਹ (ਹੁਣ) ਕਵੀ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੨੦੬॥
Whatever words he spoke to Krishna, the poet now tells them.1206.

ਢੀਠਹ੍ਵੈਬੋਲਤਭਯੋਰਨਮੈਹਸਿਕੈਹਰਿਸੋਬਤੀਯਾਸੁਨਿਲੈਹੋ॥
ਢੀਠ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬੋਲਣ ਲਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਸ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ (ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਾ, ਮੇਰੀ) ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ।
He spoke to Krishna in the battlefield without any shame, “You are uselessly angry with us
ਕ੍ਰੁਧਕੀਏਹਮਸੰਗਿਨਿਸੰਗਕਹਾਅਬਜੁਧਕੀਏਫਲੁਪੈਹੋ॥
ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ) ਇਸ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਫਲ ਪਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
What will you gain from this war? You are still a boy,
ਤਾਤੇਲਰੋਨਹੀਮੋਸੰਗਿਆਇਕੈਹੋਲਰਿਕਾਰਨਦੇਖਿਪਰੈਹੋ॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਲੜ, (ਤੂੰ ਅਜੇ) ਲੜਕਾ ਹੈਂ, ਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ।
“Therefore do not fight with me and run away
ਜੋਹਠਕੈਲਰਿਹੋਮਰਿਹੋਅਪੁਨੇਗ੍ਰਿਹਮਾਰਗਿਜੀਤਿਨਜੈਹੋ॥੧੨੦੭॥
ਜੇ ਹਠ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੜੇਂਗਾ (ਤਾਂ) ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਉਤੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ॥੧੨੦੭॥
In case you persist in fighting, then you will not find the way to your home and will be killed.”1207.

ਜਿਉਬੋਲਿਯੋਅਤਿਗਰਬਸਿਉਇਤਿਹਰਿਐਚਿਕਮਾਨ॥
ਜਿਉਂ ਹੀ (ਉਹ) ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਇਧਰੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
When he spoke with pride like this, Krishna pulled his bow and the arrow hit his face
ਸਰਮਾਰਿਯੋਅਰਿਮੁਖਿਬਿਖੈਪਰਿਯੋਮ੍ਰਿਤਕਛਿਤਿਆਨਿ॥੧੨੦੮॥
ਬਾਣ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰਿਆ (ਅਤੇ ਉਹ) ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ॥੧੨੦੮॥
With the infliction of the arrow, he died and fell upon the earth.1208.
ਅਰਜਨਸਿੰਘਤਬਢੀਠਹੁਇਕਹੀਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਸੋਬਾਤ॥
ਤਦ ਅਰਜਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਢੀਠ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ (ਇਹ) ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ।
ਮਹਾਬਲੀਹਉਆਜਹੀਕਰਿਹੋਂਤੇਰੋਘਾਤ॥੧੨੦੯॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਮਹਾ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਅਜ ਹੀ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ॥੧੨੦੯॥
Then the obstinate Arjun Singh said to Krishna, “I am a mighty warrior and shall knock you down immediately.”1209.
ਸੁਨਤਬਚਨਹਰਿਖਗੁਲੈਅਰਿਸਿਰਿਝਾਰਿਯੋਧਾਇ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਪਕੜ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਝਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਗਿਰਿਓਮਨੋਆਂਧੀਬਚੇਬਡੋਬ੍ਰਿਛਮੁਰਝਾਇ॥੧੨੧੦॥
(ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ) ਮਾਨੋ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਚਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਮੁਰਝਾ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੨੧੦॥
Hearing this, Krishna struck a blow on his head with his dagger and he fell down like a tree in a storm.1210.

(ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਅਰਜਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਅਟਲੇਸਪ੍ਰਕੋਪਭਯੋਲਖਿਕੈਹਰਿਆਪੁਨੇਸਸਤ੍ਰਲਏਸਬਹੀ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਅਟਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਏ।
Arjun Singh and the king named Amresh Singh were killed with the dagger, then Krishna held his weapons, getting furious on Atlesh
ਅਤਿਮਾਰਹੀਮਾਰਪੁਕਾਰਿਪਰਿਓਹਰਿਸਾਮੁਹੇਆਇਅਰਿਓਜਬਹੀ॥
ਜਦੇ (ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ) 'ਮਾਰੋ' 'ਮਾਰੋ' ਪੁਕਾਰਦਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਡਟ ਗਿਆ।
He also began to say “Kill, Kill”, while coming in front of Krishna
ਕਲਧਉਤਕੇਭੂਖਨਅੰਗਸਜੇਜਿਹਕੀਛਬਿਸੋਸਵਿਤਾਦਬਹੀ॥੧੨੧੧॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਵੀ ਦਬਕਦਾ ਸੀ ॥੧੨੧੧॥
Before the glory of his limbs bedecked with gold ornaments, even the sun seemed bedimmed.1211.
ਜਾਮਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਕੀਓਘਮਸਾਨਬਡੌਬਲਵਾਨਨਜਾਇਸੰਘਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਇਕ ਪਹਿਰ ਤਕ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਘਮਸਾਨ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ, (ਉਹ) ਬਹੁਤ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੋਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
He waged a violent war for one Pabar (about three hours), but he could not be killed
ਮੇਘਜਿਉਗਾਜਿਮੁਰਾਰਿਤਬੈਅਸਿਲੈਕਰਿਮੈਅਰਿਊਪਰਿਝਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਦਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਜ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਉਤੇ ਝਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
Then Krishna thundering like the cloud, struck a blow on the enemy with his sword,
ਹੁਇਮ੍ਰਿਤਭੂਮਿਪਰਿਯੋਤਬਹੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਜਬੈਸਿਰੁਕਾਟਿਉਤਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And when Krishna cut down his head, he died and fell on the earth
ਧੰਨਿਹੀਧੰਨਿਕਹੈਸਬਦੇਵਬਡੋਹਰਿਜੂਭਵਭਾਰਉਤਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੨੧੨॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੇ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੧੨੧੨॥
Seeing this, the gods hailed and said, “O Krishna! you have lightened a great burden of the earth.”1212.

ਅਟਲਸਿੰਘਜਬਮਾਰਿਓਬਹੁਬੀਰਨਕੋਰਾਉ॥
ਜਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਟਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ,
ਅਮਿਟਸਿੰਘਤਬਅਮਿਟਹੁਇਕੀਨੋਜੁਧਉਪਾਉ॥੧੨੧੩॥
ਤਦ ਅਮਿਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅਮਿਟ (ਅਡੋਲ) ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਉਪਾ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੧੨੧੩॥
When Atal Singh, who was the king of many warriors, was killed, then Amit Singh started his efforts for waging war.1213.

ਬੋਲਤਇਉਹਠਿਕੈਹਰਿਸੋਭਟਤਉਲਖਿਹੋਜਬਮੋਸੋਲਰੈਗੋ॥
(ਉਹ) ਹਠ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਣ ਲਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਮੰਨਾਗਾ ਜਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇਂਗਾ।
He said to Krishna, “I shall consider you a great warrior, if you fight with me
ਮੋਕੋਕਹਾਹਨਿਰਾਜਨਜ੍ਯੋਛਲਮੂਰਤਿਹੁਇਛਲਸਾਥਛਰੈਗੋ॥
ਕੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਛਲ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧੋਖੇ ਨਾਲ ਛਲ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ।
Will you also deceive me like these kings through stratagem?
ਮੋਅਤਿਕੋਪਭਰੋਲਖਿਕੈਰਹਿਹੋਨਹਿਆਹਵਹੂੰਤੇਟਰੈਗੋ॥
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ (ਖੜੋਤਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ (ਇਥੋਂ) ਟਲ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
ਜਉਕਬਹੂੰਭਿਰਹੋਹਮਸੋਨਿਸਚੈਨਿਜਦੇਹਕੋਤਿਆਗੁਕਰੈਗੋ॥੧੨੧੪॥
ਜੇ ਕਦੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇਂਗਾ, (ਤਾਂ) ਨਿਸਚੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੇਹ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ॥੧੨੧੪॥
“You will definitely run away from the field seeing me greatly infuriated and if you fight with me at any time, then you will assuredly leave your body.1214.
ਕਾਹੇਕਉਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਅਯੋਧਨਮੈਹਿਤਔਰਨਕੇਰਿਸਕੈਰਨਪਾਰੋ॥
ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਿਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਕਾਹੇਕਉਘਾਇਸਹੋਤਨਮੈਪੁਨਿਕਾਕੇਕਹੇਅਰਿਭੂਪਨਿਮਾਰੋ॥
ਕਿਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਘਾਓ ਸਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
“O Krishna! why are you waging war in great anger? Why are you enduring wounds on your body? On whose bidding you are killing the kings?
ਜੀਵਤਹੋਤਬਲਉਜਗਮੈਜਬਲਉਮੁਹਿਸੰਗਿਭਿਰਿਓਨਬਿਚਾਰੋ॥
ਉਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਹੀ (ਤੂੰ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜਦ ਤਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
“You will remain alive only if you do not fight with me
ਸੁੰਦਰਜਾਨਕੈਛਾਡਤਹੋਤਜਿਕੈਰਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਧਾਮਿਸਿਧਾਰੋ॥੧੨੧੫॥
(ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਛਡਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਚਲਾ ਜਾ ॥੧੨੧੫॥
Considering you beautiful, I condone you, therefore leave the war-arena and go to your home.”1215.
ਫੇਰਿਅਯੋਧਨਮੈਰਿਸਿਕੇਅਮਿਟੇਸਬਲੀਇਹਭਾਤਿਉਚਾਰੋ॥
ਫਿਰ ਯੁੱਧ-ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਅਮਿਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਬੈਸਕਿਸੋਰਮਨੋਹਰਿਮੂਰਤਿਲੈਹੋਕਹਾਲਖਿਜੁਧਹਮਾਰੋ॥
(ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ!) ਤੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਛੋਟੀ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ਕਲ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਲਏਂਗਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ।
Amit Singh spoke again in the battlefield, “Still you rage is much less and it will be of no value to you, if you see me fighting
ਹਉਤੁਮਸਿਉਹਰਿਸਾਚਕਹਿਓਤੁਮਜਉਜੀਯਮੈਕਛੁਅਉਰਬਿਚਾਰੋ॥
ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਚ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਤਾਂ ਛਡ ਦੇ)।
“O Krishna! I am telling you the truth, but you are thinking something else in your mind
ਕੈਹਮਸੰਗਿਲਰੋਤਜਿਕੈਡਰਕੈਅਪੁਨੇਸਭਆਯੁਧਡਾਰੋ॥੧੨੧੬॥
ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਡਰ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ, ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸੁਟ ਦੇ ॥੧੨੧੬॥
You may now either fight with me fearlessly or throw away all your weapons.1216.
ਆਜੁਆਯੋਧਨਮੈਤੁਮਕੋਹਨਿਹੋਤੁਮਰੀਸਭਹੀਪ੍ਰਿਤਨਾਕੋ॥
ਅਜ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
“I shall kill you and all your army today in the battlefield
ਜਉਰੇਕੋਊਤੁਮਮੈਭਟਹੈਬਹੁਆਵਤਹੈਬਿਧਿਆਹਵਜਾਕੋ॥
