ਬਿਕ੍ਰਤਾਨਨਕੋਬਧਪੇਖਿਕੁਰੂਪਸੁਕਾਲਕੋਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਓਅਕਾਸਤੇਆਯੋ॥
ਬਿਕ੍ਰਤਾਨਨ ਦੇ ਬਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕੁਰੂਪ, ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਬਾਨਕਮਾਨਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਗਦਾਗਹਿਲੈਕਰਮੈਅਤਿਜੁਧਮਚਾਯੋ॥
ਬਾਣ, ਕਮਾਨ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ, ਗਦਾ (ਆਦਿਕ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਬਹੁਤ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ।
Seeing the killing of Vikartanan and inspired by death, Kurup went to the sky and taking the bow, sword, mace etc. in his hand he waged a dreadful war
ਸ੍ਰੀਸਕਤੇਸਬਡੁਧਨੁਤਾਨਕੈਬਾਨਮਹਾਅਰਿਗ੍ਰੀਵਲਗਾਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ (ਇਕ) ਤਿਖਾ ਬਾਣ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Shakti Singh also pulled his very large bow, made the throat of his enemy as his target
ਸੀਸਪਰਿਓਕਟਿਕੈਧਰਨੀਸੁਕਬੰਧਲਏਅਸਿਕੋਰਨਿਧਾਯੋ॥੧੩੨੦॥
(ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸਿਰ ਕਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧੜ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦੌੜ ਪਿਆ ॥੧੩੨੦॥
The head of the enemy was chopped and fell down on the earth and the headless trunk of the enemy, catching hold of his sword in his hand, began to run in the battlefield.1320.

(ਕੁਰੂਪ) ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗਿਆ।
ਏਕਬਾਨਨ੍ਰਿਪਨੇਹਨਿਯੋਗਿਰਿਯੋਭੂਮਿਮਝਾਰਿ॥੧੩੨੧॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾਇਆ, (ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ) ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ॥੧੩੨੧॥
The king (Vikartanan), with his sword in his hand, reached in front of Shakti Singh, but he knocked him down on the earth with a single arrow.1321.
ਜਬਕੁਰੂਪਸੈਨਾਸਹਿਤਭੂਪਤਿਦਯੋਸੰਘਾਰ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ (ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ ਕੁਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਨਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਤਬਜਾਦਵਲਖਸਮਰਮੈਕੀਨੋਹਾਹਾਕਾਰ॥੧੩੨੨॥
ਤਦ ਯਾਦਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹਾਹਾਕਾਰ ਮਚਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧੩੨੨॥
When Shakti Singh killed Kurup and the king (Vikartanana) alongwith the army, then the Yadava army seeing this began to lament.1322.
ਬਹੁਤੁਲਰਿਯੋਅਰਿਬੀਰਰਨਿਕਹਿਓਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਰਾਮ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵੈਰੀ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੜਿਆ ਹੈ।
Balram said to Krishna, “This warrior is fighting for a very long time
ਕਿਉਨਲਰੈਕਹਿਯੋਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਜੂਸਕਤਿਸਿੰਘਜਿਹਨਾਮ॥੧੩੨੩॥
(ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿਚ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਲੜਦਾ ॥੧੩੨੩॥
” Then Krishna said, “Why should he not fight, because his name is Shakti Singh?”1323.

ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ
ਸਕਤਿਸਿੰਘਬਧਹਮਤੇਰਹਿਯੋ॥
ਕਿ ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਿਆ।
ਇਨਅਤਿਹਿਤਸੋਚੰਡਿਮਨਾਈ॥
ਇਸ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਤਾਤੇਹਮਰੀਸੈਨਖਪਾਈ॥੧੩੨੪॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੨੪॥
Then Krishna said to all, “We shall not be able to kill Shakti Singh, because he has performed austerities for a boon from Chandi with extreme devotion, therefore he has destroyed all our army.1324.

ਤਾਤੇਤੁਮਹੂੰਚੰਡਿਕੀਸੇਵਕਰਹੁਚਿਤੁਲਾਇ॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਚਿਤ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ।
ਜੀਤਨਕੋਬਰੁਦੇਇਗੀਅਰਿਤਬਲੀਜਹੁਘਾਇ॥੧੩੨੫॥
(ਜਦ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ) ਜਿਤਣ ਦਾ ਵਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ, ਤਦ (ਤੁਸੀਂ) ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲੈਣਾ ॥੧੩੨੫॥
“Therefore you should also serve Chandi single-mindedly, which she will bestow the boon of victory and then you will be able to kill the enemy.1325.
ਜਾਗਤਜਾਕੀਜੋਤਿਜਗਿਜਲਿਥਲਿਰਹੀਸਮਾਇ॥
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਜਲ ਥਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ,
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਬਿਸਨੁਹਰਰੂਪਮੈਤ੍ਰਿਗੁਨਿਰਹੀਠਹਰਾਇ॥੧੩੨੬॥
(ਉਹ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਗੁਣਾਂ (ਰਜੋ, ਸਤੋ ਅਤੇ ਤਮੋ) ਵਿਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੨੬॥
“He, whose gleaming light pervades in water, on plain and the whole world, the same is preset in Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva in the form of three modes.1326.

ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ('ਕਲਾ') ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਰੁਜਾਕੀਕਲਾਬਿਮਲਾਹਰਕੇਕਮਲਾਪਤਿਕੇਕਮਲਾਤਨਮੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਪਾਰਬਤੀ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਦੇ ਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਿਰਾਜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
