ਪੁਨਿਜਾਕੀਕਲਾਗਿਰਿਰੂਖਨਮੈਸਸਿਪੂਖਨਮੈਮਘਵਾਘਨਮੈ॥
ਫਿਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ('ਪੂਖਨ') ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ)।
“And whose power is present in the mountain, tree, sun, moon, Indra and clouds also
ਤੁਮਹੂੰਨਹੀਜਾਨੀਭਵਾਨੀਕਲਾਜਗਮਾਨੀਕੋਧ੍ਯਾਨੁਕਰੋਮਨਮੈ॥੧੩੨੭॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ (ਉਸ) ਭਵਾਨੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ) ਚੰਡੀ ('ਜਗ ਮਾਨੀ') ਦਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੩੨੭॥
You have not adored that Bhavani, therefore now meditate on her.1327.

ਸਕਤਿਸਿੰਘਬਰੁਸਕਤਿਸੋਮਾਗਿਲਯੋਬਲਵਾਨਿ॥
ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ (ਚੰਡੀ) ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵਰ ਮੰਗ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਤਾਹੀਕੇਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿਤੇਰਨਜੀਤਤਨਹੀਹਾਨਿ॥੧੩੨੮॥
ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਜਿਤਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥੧੩੨੮॥
“Shakti Singh has with his austerities, obtained the boon from the Lord and through His Grace, he is winning the war and he is not losing anything.1328.
ਸਿਵਸੂਰਜਸਸਿਸਚੀਪਤਿਬ੍ਰਹਮਬਿਸਨੁਸੁਰਕੋਇ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਇੰਦਰ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਦੇਵਤਾ
ਜੋਇਹਸੋਰਿਸਕੈਲਰੈਜੀਤਨਜੈਹੈਸੋਇ॥੧੩੨੯॥
ਇਸ (ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨਾਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਏਗਾ ॥੧੩੨੯॥
“If any of the gods like Shiva, sun, moon, Indra, Brahma, Vishnu or any other wages the war with him, he will not be able to conquer him.1329.

ਜਉਹਰਆਇਭਿਰੇਇਹਸੋਨਹੀਦੇਖਤਹੋਂਬਲੁਹੈਤਿਨਮੋ॥
ਜੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਆ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰੇ, (ਪਰ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਇਤਨਾ) ਬਲ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
“If the god Shiva fights with him, he also does not have so much strength so as to victorious over him
ਚਤੁਰਾਨਨਅਉਰੁਖੜਾਨਨਬਿਸਨੁਘਨੋਬਲਹੈਸੁਕਹਿਓਜਿਨਮੋ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਕਾਰਤਿਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਲ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਅਗੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲ ਸਕਦੀ)।

ਪੁਨਿਭੂਤਪਿਸਾਚਸੁਰਾਦਿਕਜੇਅਸੁਰਾਦਿਕਹੈਗਨਤੀਕਿਨਮੋ॥
ਫਿਰ ਭੂਤ, ਪਿਸ਼ਾਚ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਆਦਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਆਦਿਕ ਕਿਸ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ।
“Who are considered very powerful and the ghosts, fiends gods and demons etc. are all powerless aginst him
ਜਦੁਬੀਰਕਹਿਯੋਸਬਬੀਰਨਸੋਂਸੁਇਤੋਬਲਭੂਪਧਰੈਇਨਮੋ॥੧੩੩੦॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਜੇ (ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ) ਜਿਤਨਾ ਬਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੩੦॥
” Then Krishna said to all the Yadavas, “This king has so much power.”1330.

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਧਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਧਰ ਮੈਂ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
“You may go and fight with him and I myself shall repeat the name of the goddess
ਐਸੇਕਹਿਯੋਜਦੁਬੀਰਅਬੈਅਤਿਹੀਹਿਤਭਾਵਤੇਥਾਪਥਪੈਹਉ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਰਾਧਨਾ (ਸਥਾਪਨਾ) ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I shall establish the goddess with utmost devotion so that she may manifest herself,
ਹੈਕੇਪ੍ਰਤਛਕਹੈਬਰਮਾਗਹਨੋਸਕਤੇਸਿਇਹੈਬਰੁਲੈਹਉ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਤਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵਰ ਮੰਗਣ ਲਈ ਕਹੇਗੀ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਰ ਮੰਗਾਂਗਾ।
“And ask me for her boon and I shall ask her to bestow me the boon of victory over Shakti Singh
ਤਉਚੜਕੈਅਪੁਨੇਰਥਪੈਅਬਹੀਰਨਮੈਇਹਕੋਬਧਕੈਹਉ॥੧੩੩੧॥
ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੧੩੩੧॥
Then mounting on the chariot I shall kill him.”1331.

ਬੀਰਪਠੇਜਦੁਬੀਰਉਤੈਇਤਭੂਮਿਮੈਬੈਠਿਸਿਵਾਜਪੁਕੀਨੋ॥
ਉਧਰ ਯਾਦਵ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ) ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਧਰ ਭੂਮੀ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਆਰੰਭ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Krishna, on that side, sent the Yadavas for fighting and he himself, on this side, began to repeat the name of the goddess
ਅਉਰਦਈਸੁਧਿਛਾਡਿਸਬੈਤਬਤਾਹੀਕੇਧ੍ਯਾਨਬਿਖੈਮਨੁਦੀਨੋ॥
ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੁੱਧ-ਬੁੱਧ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਤਦ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
He, forgetting all his consciousness, absorbed his mind only in the meditation of the goddess
ਚੰਡਿਤਬੈਪਰਤਛਭਈਬਰੁਮਾਗਹੁਜੋਮਨਮੈਜੋਈਚੀਨੋ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਤਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਖ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਵਰ ਮੰਗਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Then the goddess manifested herself and said, “You may ask for the boon that you want
ਯਾਅਰਿਆਜਹਨੋਰਨਮੈਘਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਮਾਗਿਇਹੈਬਰਲੀਨੋ॥੧੩੩੨॥
ਇਸ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ ਹੀ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਹੀ ਵਰ ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੩੩੨॥
” On this, Krishna asked for the destruction of Shakti Singh on that day.1332.
ਯੌਬਰੁਪਾਇਚੜਿਯੋਰਥਪੈਹਰਿਜੂਮਨਬੀਚਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਿਭਯੋ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ।
In this way, obtaining the boon, Krishna mounted on the chariot with pleased mind
ਜਪੁਕੈਜੁਭਵਾਨੀਤੇਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਅਰਿਮਾਰਨਕੋਬਰੁਮਾਗਲਯੋ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਭਵਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਵਰ ਮੰਗ ਲਿਆ।
The poet Shyam says that on account of his repetition of the name, he obtained the boon of killing the enemy
ਸਬਆਯੁਧਲੈਬਰਬੀਰਬਲੀਹੂਕੇਸਾਮੁਹੇਤਉਜਦੁਬੀਰਗਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗਏ।
Taking all his weapons, Krishna went before that mighty warrior and the hope of victory,
ਮਨੋਜੀਤਕੇਅੰਕੁਰਜਾਤਰਹਿਯੋਹੁਤੋਯਾਬਰਤੇਉਪਜਿਯੋਸੁਨਯੋ॥੧੩੩੩॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਜਿਤ ਦਾ ਅੰਕੁਰ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਅੰਗੂਰ) ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਵਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਵਾਂ ਉਪਜ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੩੩॥
That was on the verge of its end, a new sprout erupted on account of this boon.1333.

ਤਬਹੀਤਿਨਕੇਤਨਨਸਿਉਭੂਮਿਰਹੀਭਰਪੂਰਿ॥੧੩੩੪॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੩੪॥
Shakti Singh knocked down many warriors in the battlefield and the earth was earth was filled with their dead bodies.1334.

ਜੁਧੁਕਰੇਸਕਤੇਸਬਲੀਤਿਹਠਾਹਰਿਆਇਕੈਰੂਪੁਦਿਖਾਯੋ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ) ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ।
The place, where the powerful Shakti Singh was fighting, Krishna reached there and said, “You may stop now
ਜਾਤਕਹਾਰਹੁਰੇਥਿਰਹ੍ਵੈਅਬਹਉਤੁਮਪੈਬਲੁਕੈਇਤਆਇਓ॥
(ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ) ਓਇ! ਹੁਣ ਕਿਥੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਖੜਾ ਹੋ ਜਾ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਇਧਰ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
Where are you going? I have deliberately come here.”
ਕੋਪਗਦਾਕਰਲੈਘਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੁਸਤ੍ਰਕੇਸੀਸਪੈਘਾਉਲਗਾਯੋ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਗਦਾ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੀ।
In great fury, Krishna struck a blow with his mace on the head of the enemy and with that remembering Chandi in his mind, Shakti Singh breathed his last
ਪ੍ਰਾਨਤਜਿਓਮਨਿਚੰਡਿਭਜਿਓਤਿਹਕੋਤਨੁਤਾਹਿਕੇਲੋਕਿਸਿਧਾਰਿਓ॥੧੩੩੫॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਡੀ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ, (ਫਲਸਰੂਪ) ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੩੩੫॥
The body of Shakti Singh also went to the region of Chandi.1335.
ਪ੍ਰਾਨਚਲਿਯੋਤਿਹਕੋਤਬਹੀਜਬਹੀਤਨਚੰਡਿਕੇਲੋਗਪਧਾਰਿਓ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ (ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ) ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਵੀ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ।
With the body going to the region of Chandi, his Pranas (life-breaths) also moved
ਸੂਰਜਇੰਦ੍ਰਸਨਾਦਿਕਜੇਸੁਰਹੂੰਮਿਲਿਕੈਜਸੁਤਾਹਿਉਚਾਰਿਓ॥
ਸੂਰਜ, ਇੰਦਰ, ਸਨਕਾਦਿਕ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਯਸ਼ ਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
The gods like Surya, Indra, Sanak, Sanandan etc., began to describe his praises
ਐਸੋਨਆਗੇਲਰਿਯੋਰਨਮੈਕੋਊਅਪਨੀਬੈਸਿਮੈਨਾਹਿਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਅਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੜਿਆ, (ਅਸੀਂ) ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
They all said, “We have not seen such a fighter in our life
ਸ੍ਰੀਸਕਤੇਸਬਲੀਧਨਿਹੈਹਰਿਸੋਲਰਿਕੈਪਰਲੋਕਿਸਿਧਾਰਿਓ॥੧੩੩੬॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੩੬॥
Bravo to the mighty warrior Shakti Singh, who has reached the next world after fighting with Krishna.1336.

ਜਦੋਂ ਚੰਡੀ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਵਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ
ਸਕਤਿਸਿੰਘਕੋਮਾਰਿਗਿਰਾਯੋ॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਸ਼ਕਤਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਗਿਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
When Krishna obtained the boon from Chandi, then he knocked down Shakti Singh
ਅਉਰਸਤ੍ਰਬਹੁਗਏਪਰਾਈ॥
ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਭਜ ਗਏ,
ਰਵਿਨਿਹਾਰਿਜ੍ਯੋਂਤਮਨਰਹਾਈ॥੧੩੩੭॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧੩੩੭॥
Many of other enemies ran away like the darkness on seeing the sun.1337.
