ਅਭੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਇਛ ਸਿੰਘ (ਪੰਜ) ਬਲਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧੀਮਾਨ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਸਨ ॥੧੩੩੮॥
There were powerful and learned warriors in the battlefield like Asam Singh, Jas Singh, Inder Singh, Abhai Singh and Ichh Singh.1338.
ਚਮੂੰਭਜੀਭੂਪਨਲਖੀਚਲੇਜੁਧਕੇਕਾਜ॥
ਭਜੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਚਲ ਪਏ।
When these kings saw the army running away, they marched forward to fight
ਅਹੰਕਾਰਪਾਚੋਕੀਓਅਜੁਹਨਿਹੈਜਦੁਰਾਜ॥੧੩੩੯॥
ਪੰਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਜ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗੇ ॥੧੩੩੯॥
All the five said proudly, “We shall definitely kill Krishna, the Lord of Yadavas.”1339.
ਉਤਤੇਆਯੁਧਲੈਸਬੈਆਏਕੋਪਬਢਾਇ॥
ਉਧਰੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ (ਰਾਜੇ) ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਏ।
ਇਤਤੇਹਰਿਸਮੁਹੇਭਏਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਸੀਘ੍ਰਧਵਾਇ॥੧੩੪੦॥
ਇਧਰੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜਲਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਭਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ॥੧੩੪੦॥
On the side, taking their weapons in their hands and in great rage, all of them came forward and from this side Krishna god his chariot driven and reached in front of them.1340.

ਤਦ ਮਹਾਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਯੋਧਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਅਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਿਆ।
ਪਾਚਹੀਬਾਨਲਏਤਿਹਪਾਨਿਬਡੋਧਨੁਤਾਨਕੈਕੋਪਬਢਾਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜ ਤੀਰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਲਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਕਸ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
The mighty warrior Subhat Singh at the same time ran from the side of Krishna and taking five arrows in his hand, pulled his heavy bow in great rage
ਏਕਹੀਏਕਹਨਿਓਸਰਪਾਚਨਭੂਪਨਿਕੋਤਿਨਿਮਾਰਿਗਿਰਾਯੋ॥
ਇਕ ਇਕ ਤੀਰ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
He killed all the five kings, each with a single arrow
ਤੂਲਿਜਿਉਜਾਰਿਦਏਨ੍ਰਿਪਪਾਚਮਨੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਆਂਚਸੁਬੇਖਬਨਾਯੋ॥੧੩੪੧॥
ਪੰਜੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਰੂੰ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਮਾਨੋ (ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਨ ਲਈ) ਅੱਗ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੩੪੧॥
These five kings blazed like straw and it appeared that Subhat Singh was the flame of fire.1341.

ਨਰਪਤਿਆਏਪਾਚਬਰਕੀਨੋਤਿਨਕੋਨਾਸ॥੧੩੪੨॥
(ਜਿਹੜੇ) ਪੰਜ ਰਾਜੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੩੪੨॥
Subhat Singh standing firmly in the battlefield waged a violent war and he destroyed all the five kings who had come there.1342.

ਹੋਰ ਦਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ) ਸੂਰਮੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਮਲਾਵਰ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ
Other ten kings, in great fury, marched forward alongwith their warriors
ਜੁਧਬਿਖੈਦੁਰਮਦਬਡੇਮਹਾਰਥੀਰਨਧੀਰ॥੧੩੪੩॥
(ਜਿਹੜੇ) ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ, ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਹਨ ॥੧੩੪੩॥
They were all great charioteers and were like intoxicated elephants in war.1343.

ਆਵਤਹੀਮਿਲਕੈਦਸਹੂੰਨ੍ਰਿਪਸ੍ਰੀਸੁਭਟੇਸਕੋਬਾਨਚਲਾਏ॥
ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਦਸਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਨੈਨਨਹੇਰਿਸੋਊਹਰਿਬੀਰਲਯੋਧਨੁਬਾਨਸੋਕਾਟਿਗਿਰਾਏ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਧੇ (ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ (ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼-ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
On coming, all the ten kings discharged their arrow on Subhat Singh, who seeing them intercepted them with his own arrows
ਉਤਰਸਿੰਘਕੋਸੀਸਕਟਿਓਤਨਿਉਜਲਸਿੰਘਕੇਘਾਇਲਗਾਏ॥
ਉਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਜਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਘਾਓ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
The head of Uttar Singh was cut and Ujjal Singh was wounded
ਉਦਮਸਿੰਘਹਨਿਓਬਹੁਰੋਅਸਿਲੈਕਰਿਸੰਕਰਸਿੰਘਸੇਧਾਏ॥੧੩੪੪॥
ਫਿਰ ਊਧਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੰਕਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੩੪੪॥
Uddam Singh was killed, then Shankar Singh came forward taking up his sword.1344.

ਓਜਸਿੰਘਕੋਹਤਕੀਯੋਓਟਸਿੰਘਕੋਮਾਰਿ॥
ਓਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਓਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
After killing of Ot Singh, Oj Singh was killed
ਉਧਸਿੰਘਉਸਨੇਸਅਰੁਉਤਰਸਿੰਘਸੰਘਾਰਿ॥੧੩੪੫॥
ਉਧ ਸਿੰਘ, ਉਸਨੇਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੩੪੫॥
Uddh Singh, Ushnesh Singh and Uttar Singh were also killed.1345.
ਭੂਪਨਵੋਜਬਇਹਹਨੇਏਕੁਬਚਿਯੋਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮਿ॥
ਜਦ ਇਸ (ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ ਨੌਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ (ਕੇਵਲ) ਇਕ ਬਚ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਨਹੀਭਾਜਿਯੋਬਲਵੰਤਸੋਉਗ੍ਰਸਿੰਘਤਿਹਨਾਮੁ॥੧੩੪੬॥
ਉਹ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਜਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਉਗ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੪੬॥
When the nine kings were killed, the king who did not run away from war, his name was Uggar Singh.1346.

ਉਗ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੇ ਬਾਣ ਉਤੇ ਮਹਾ ਮੰਤਰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ, ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਲਾਗਗਯੋਤਿਹਕੇਉਰਮੈਬਰਕੈਤਨਭੇਦਕੈਪਾਰਪਰਾਯੋ॥
(ਬਾਣ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਗ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ।
The great warrior Uggar Singh, reciting his mantra, discharged one arrow towards Subhat Singh, which hit his heart and tearing his body, penetrated through it
ਭੂਮਿਪਰਿਯੋਮਰਿਬਾਨਲਗੇਇਹਕੋਜਸੁਯੌਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਬਾਣ ਲਗਣ ਨਾਲ (ਸੁਭਟ ਸਿੰਘ) ਮਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਯਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ।
ਭੂਪਹਨੇਕੀਏਪਾਪਘਨੇਜਮਨੇਉਡਿਯਾਮਨੋਨਾਗਡਸਾਯੋ॥੧੩੪੭॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਯਮ ਨੇ ਉਡਣੇ ਸੱਪ ਤੋਂ ਡੰਗ ਮਰਵਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੩੪੭॥
He died and fell down on the ground and according to the poet Shyam he might have committed the sin of killing many kings, then this arrows of Yama like a Cobra had stung him.1347.

ਤਦੋਂ ਮਨੋਜ ਸਿੰਘ (ਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਇਕ ਯੋਧਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ
ਉਗ੍ਰਸਿੰਘਪਰਕ੍ਰੋਧਕਰਿਚਲਿਯੋਮਹਾਰਨਧੀਰ॥੧੩੪੮॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਉਗ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲ ਚਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੩੪੮॥
Then a Yadava named Manoj Singh came forward and fell upon Uggar Singh in great rage.1348.

ਜਾਦਵਆਵਤਪੇਖਿਬਲੀਅਰਿਬੀਰਮਹਾਰਨਧੀਰਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ॥
ਬਲਵਾਨ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਣਧੀਰ ਵੈਰੀ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ।
Seeing the mighty Yadava warrior coming, the great war-hero Uggar Singh became alert and
ਲੋਹਮਈਗਰੂਓਬਰਛਾਗਹਿਕੈਬਲਿਸੋਕਰਿਕੋਪਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਓ॥
ਲੋਹਮਈ ਬੜੇ ਭਾਰੇ ਬਰਛੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Catching in ire his lance of steel, he struck a blow with great strength
ਲਾਗਤਸਿੰਘਮਨੋਜਹਨਿਓਤਿਹਪ੍ਰਾਨਨਲੈਜਮਧਾਮਿਪਧਾਰਿਓ॥
ਬਰਛੇ ਦੇ ਲਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਨੋਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
On receiving the blow of the lance Manoj Singh died and proceeded to the abode of Yama
ਮਾਰਕੈਤਾਹਿਲੀਯੋਧਨੁਬਾਨਬਲੀਬਲੁਕੈਬਲਿਕੋਲਲਕਾਰਿਓ॥੧੩੪੯॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ, ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼-ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰਿਆ ॥੧੩੪੯॥
After killing him, Uggar Singh challenged the mighty warrior Balram.1349.
ਆਵਤਸਤ੍ਰਹਿਪੇਖਿਹਲਾਯੁਧਕੋਪਕੀਯੋਗਹਿਮੂਸਰਧਾਯੋ॥
ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਲ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਵਲ) ਵਧਿਆ।
Seeing the enemy coming, Balram caught hold of his mace and fell upon him
ਆਪਸਿਮੈਬਲਵੰਤਅਰੈਦੋਊਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਅਤਿਜੁਧੁਮਚਾਯੋ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਡਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
Both these warriors fought a dreadful war between them
ਉਗ੍ਰਨਰੇਸਕੇਲਾਗਿਗਯੋਸਿਰਿਮੂਸਲਦਾਇਬਚਾਇਨਆਯੋ॥
ਉਗ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ (ਬਲਰਾਮ ਦਾ) ਮੂਸਲ ਜਾ ਵਜਿਆ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਓ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ।
Uggar Singh could not save himself from trick and the mace hit his head
ਭੂਮਿਗਿਰਿਯੋਮਰਕੈਜਬਹੀਮੁਸਲੀਅਪਨਾਤਬਸੰਖਬਜਾਯੋ॥੧੩੫੦॥
ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ (ਉਗ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ) ਮਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਖ ਵਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੩੫੦॥
He died and fell down on the ground, then Balram blew his conch.1350.
