ਯੌਖੜਗੇਸਰਹਿਓਥਿਰੁਹ੍ਵੈਜਿਮਪਉਨਲਗੈਨਹਲੇਕਨਕਾਚਲੁ॥
ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪੌਣ ਦੇ ਲਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
Kharag Singh remained stable like the Sumeru mountain hit by the blows of wind
ਤਾਪੈਬਸਾਵਤੁਹੈਨਕਛੁਸਬਹੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਨਕੋਘਟਿਗਯੋਬਲੁ॥੧੪੨੨॥
ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਵਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਯਾਦਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਘਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੨੨॥
There was no impact on him, but the strength of Yadavas began to decrease.1422.
ਕੋਪਕੀਯੋਧਨੁਲੈਕਰਮੈਜੁਗਭੂਪਨਕੀਬਹੁਸੈਨਹਨੀਹੈ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ) ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਹੈ।
In his fury, Kharag Singh destroyed a good deal of army of both the kings
ਬਾਜਘਨੇਰਥਪਤਿਕਰੀਅਨੀਜੋਬਿਧਿਤੇਨਹੀਜਾਤਗਨੀਹੈ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਘੋੜੇ, ਰਥਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੈਨਾ ('ਅਨੀ') ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਕਿਤਨੀ ਹੈ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਗਿਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।
He destroyed many horses, chariots etc.
ਤਾਛਬਿਕੀਉਪਮਾਮਨਮੈਲਖਕੇਮੁਖਤੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੀਹੈ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਕਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੁਧਕੀਠਉਰਨਹੋਇਮਨੋਰਸਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੇਖੇਲਕੋਠਉਰਬਨੀਹੈ॥੧੪੨੩॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਇਹ ਯੁਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨਾ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਰੌਦਰ ਰਸ ਖੇਡਣ ਦਾ ਅਖਾੜਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੪੨੩॥
The poet says that battlefield instead of looking like a field of battle, seemed like a place of the sport of Rudra (Shiva).1423.
ਲੈਧਨੁਬਾਨਧਸਿਓਰਨਮੈਤਿਹਕੇਮਨਮੈਅਤਿਕੋਪਬਢਿਓ॥
(ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਧਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜੁਹੁਤੋਦਲਬੈਰਨਕੋਸਬਹੀਰਿਸਤੇਜਕੇਸੰਗਿਪ੍ਰਤਛਡਢਿਓ॥
ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਦਲ ਸੀ, (ਉਸ) ਸਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Getting enraged in his mind, he penetrated into the army of the enemy and from the other side the enemy’s army became very violent
ਅਰਿਸੈਨਕੋਨਾਸਕੀਓਛਿਨਮੈਜਸੁਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਪਢਿਓ॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਛਿਣ ਵਿਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਦਾ ਯਸ਼ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ (ਇੰਜ) ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਤਮਜਿਉਡਰਕੇਅਰਿਭਾਜਿਗਏਇਹਸੂਰਨਹੀਮਾਨੋਸੂਰਚਢਿਓ॥੧੪੨੪॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਨਾਲ ਡਰ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਭਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਾਨੋ ਇਹ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ) ॥੧੪੨੪॥
Kharag Singh destroyed the enemy’s army which fled away just as the darkness flies away fearing the sun.1424.
ਕੋਪਿਝਝਾਝੜਸਿੰਘਤਬੈਅਸਿਤੀਛਨਲੈਕਰਿਤਾਹਿਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਓ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਝੜਾਝੜ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਿਖੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਉਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਭੂਪਛਿਨਾਇਲੀਯੋਕਰਤੇਬਰਕੈਅਰਿਕੇਤਨਊਪਰਿਝਾਰਿਓ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਖੋਹ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਝਾੜ ਸੁਟੀ।
Then Jharajhar Singh, getting infuriated, taking his sword in his hand struck a blow on Kharag Singh, which was snatched away from his hand
ਲਾਗਤਹੀਕਟਿਮੂੰਡਗਿਰਿਓਧਰਿਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਕਬਿਭਾਉਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਲਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸਿਰ ਕਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਜਾ ਪਿਆ। ਉਸ ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ
He struck the same sword on the enemy’s body, by which his trunk was cut down and it fell on the earth
ਮਾਨਹੁਈਸ੍ਵਰਕੋਪਭਯੋਸਿਰਪੂਤਕੋਕਾਟਿਜੁਦਾਕਰਿਡਾਰਿਓ॥੧੪੨੫॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ (ਗਣੇਸ਼) ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਵਖਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੪੨੫॥
According toe the poet it appeared that Shiva in great anger had cut down and thrown the head of Ganesha.1425.
ਬੀਰਹਨਿਓਜਬਹੀਰਨਮੈਤਬਦੂਸਰਕੇਮਨਿਕੋਪਛਯੋ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀਰ ਯੋਧਾ (ਝੜਾਝੜ ਸਿੰਘ) ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਦੂਜੇ (ਝੂਝਨ ਸਿੰਘ) ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪਸਰ ਗਿਆ।
When this warrior was killed, then the second (Jujhan Singh) got infuriated in his mind
ਸੁਧਵਾਇਕੈਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਤਾਹੀਕੀਓਰਗਯੋਅਸਿਤੀਛਨਪਾਨਿਲਯੋ॥
ਉਹ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਭਜਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਿਖੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਲ ਗਿਆ।
He caused his chariot to be driven and immediately taking his sword in his hand, went towards him (Kharag Singh)
ਤਬਭੂਪਸਰਾਸਨੁਬਾਨਲਯੋਅਰਿਕੋਅਸਿਮੂਠਤੇਕਾਟਿਦਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ (ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਠ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਮਾਨੋਜੀਹਨਿਕਾਰਿਕੈਧਾਇਓਹੁਤੋਜਮੁਜੀਭਕਟੀਬਿਨੁਆਸਭਯੋ॥੧੪੨੬॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਯਮ (ਜੋ) ਜੀਭ ਕਢ ਕੇ ਭਜਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜੀਭ ਕਟਾ ਕੇ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਹੂਣਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੪੨੬॥
Then the king also chopped off his head with his bow and arrows and he appeared like the one going forward greedily moving his tongue, but on account of the cutting away of his tongue, his hopes of getting relish had ended.1426.

ਜਦੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਵਾਲੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਦੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਭਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ।
When he chopped the warrior huge like elephant with his sword, then all other warriors who were there, fell upon him
ਆਯੁਧਲੈਅਪੁਨੇਅਪੁਨੇਕਰਿਚਿਤਬਿਖੈਅਤਿਕੋਪੁਬਢਾਏ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
They had got enraged taking their weapons in their hands
ਬੀਰਬਨੈਤਬਨੇਸਿਗਰੇਤਿਮਕੇਗੁਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਬੀਸਰਗਾਏ॥
(ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਸੱਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਫਬ ਰਹੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਮਾਨਹੁਭੂਪਸੁਅੰਬਰਜੁਧੁਰਚਿਓਭਟਏਨਬਡੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਆਏ॥੧੪੨੭॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਰੂਪ ਸੁਅੰਬਰ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਤਨੇ ਵਡੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਰਾਜੇ (ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ) ਆਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੪੨੭॥
They were the praiseworthy warriors and appeared to have gathered as other kings gathered in the ceremony of swayamvara performed by a king.1427.
