ਜੈਸੇਭੂਲਿਬਛੁਰਾਪਰਤਆਨਗਾਇਥਨਬਹੁਰਿਓਮਿਲਤਮਾਤਬਾਤਨਸਮਾਰਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੁੱਲ ਕੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਵੱਛਾ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਥਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਪਵੇ ਪਰ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਣ ਮਿਲੇ; ਤਾਂ ਓਸ ਦੀ ਬਾਤ ਕਰਤੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਿਤਾਰਿਆ ਕਰਦੀ।
Just as a calf goes to another cow for milk by mistake, and on coming back to his mother, she does not recall his mistake and feeds him.
ਜੈਸੇਆਨਸਰਭ੍ਰਮਆਵੈਮਾਨਸਰਹੰਸਦੇਤਮੁਕਤਾਅਮੋਲਦੋਖਨਬੀਚਾਰਿਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ੍ਰੋਵਰ ਉਪਰ ਭੌਂ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਹੰਸ ਮਾਨ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਉਪਰ ਹੀ ਮੁੜ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਓਸ ਦੇ ਔਗੁਣ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਅਰੁ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਮੋਤੀ ਚੁਗਣ ਲਈ ਦੇ ਦਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਚਾਕਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਹੋਰ ਦੁਆਰਿਓਂ ਹੋਰ ਹੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਓਸ ਦੀ ਅਵਗਿਆ ਗਲਤੀ ਅਪ੍ਰਾਧ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਧਾਰ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਓਸ ਦਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਚਉਗੁਣਾਂ ਮਰਾਤਬਾ ਵਧਾ ਦਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a royal attendant, after wandering all over comes back to his master who does not recall him his departure and instead raises his status many time more.

ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੀ ਦ੍ਯਾਲੂ ਦੇਵ ਬਖਸ਼ਿੰਦ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਭੀ ਅਸਰਨਿ ਸ਼ਰਣ ਰਹਿਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਣੋਂ ਵੰਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਣ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦਾਤੇ ਓਟ ਹਨ; ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਪਣਿਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਆ, ਤੱਕਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ॥੪੪੪॥
Similarly, the radiant and benevolent True Guru is the support of the destitute. He does not keep in mind the mistakes of those Sikhs who have separated themselves from the door of their Guru and are wandering on the door of gods and goddesses. (444)
