ਭਾਜਿਜਛਸਬਗਏਤਬਹਿਹਰਿਮਹਾਬਲ॥
ਜਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਕਸ਼ ਭਜ ਗਏ, ਤਦ ਮਹਾ ਬਲੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ
ਰੁਦ੍ਰਅਸਤ੍ਰਦੀਓਛਾਡਸੁਕੰਪਿਯੋਤਲਬਿਤਲ॥
ਰੁਦਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਤਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਤਲ (ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਾਲ) ਕੰਬ ਗਏ।
When all the Yakshas had run away, then the mighty Krishna discharged Rudrastra (the arm in relation to Rudra), which made the earth and the nether-world tremble
ਤਬਸਿਵਜੂਉਠਿਧਾਏਸੂਲਸੰਭਾਰਕੈ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਦੌੜਿਆ,
Then Shiva holding his trident got up and ran
ਹੋਕਿਉਹਰਿਸਿਮਰਿਓਹਮੈਇਹੈਜੀਅਧਾਰਕੈ॥੧੪੯੯॥
ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੯੯॥
He reflected how the Lord Krishna had remembered him?1499.
ਸੰਗਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੈਰੁਦ੍ਰਚਲੇਭਟਉਠਿਤਬੈ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰ ਸ਼ਿਵ-ਗਣ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ।
Rudra and his other warriors started moving alongwith him
ਏਕਰਦਨਜੂਚਲੇਸੰਗਲੈਦਲਸਬੈ॥
ਗਣੇਸ਼ ('ਏਕ ਰਦਨ') ਵੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਫੌਜ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ।
Ganesh also accompanied with all his army
ਔਰਸਕਲਗਨਚਲੈਸੁਸਸਤ੍ਰਸੰਭਾਰਕੈ॥
ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚਲ ਪਏ
All other ganas, taking up their weapons, moved along
ਹੋਕੌਨਅਜਿਤਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓਭਵਕਹੈਬਿਚਾਰਕੈ॥੧੫੦੦॥
ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਕਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਅਜਿਤ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੦੦॥
They were all thinking as to who was that mighty hero born in the world, for killing whom, they had been called.1500.

ਕੋਭਟਉਪਜਿਯੋਜਗਤਮੈਸਬਯੌਕਰਤਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ?
All of them are thinking as to who can be that mighty one born in the world
ਸਿਵਸਿਖਿਬਾਹਨਗਨਸਹਿਤਆਏਰਨਿਰਿਸਿਧਾਰਿ॥੧੫੦੧॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸੇਵਕਾਂ, ਵਾਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਣਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੦੧॥
The god Shiva and his ganas, in their fury, came out of their abodes.1501.
ਪ੍ਰਲੈਕਾਲਕਰਤਾਜਹੀਆਏਤਿਹਠਾਦੌਰਿ॥
ਜੋ ਪਰਲੋ ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਹ) ਉਥੇ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਰਨਨਿਹਾਰਿਮਨਮੈਕਹਿਯੋਇਹਚਿੰਤਾਕੀਠੌਰ॥੧੫੦੨॥
ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੦੨॥
When the god of dissolution came himself in the battlefield, them the field itself indeed became the field of anxiety.1502.
ਗਨਗਨੇਸਸਿਵਖਟਬਦਨਦੇਖੈਨੈਨਨਿਹਾਰਿ॥
(ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ) ਗਣ, ਗਣੇਸ਼, ਸ਼ਿਵ, ਛੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਾਲਾ (ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਾਰਤਿਕੇ) ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਧਿਆਨ ਪੂਰਵਕ) ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੋਰਿਸਭੂਪਤਿਜੁਧਹਿਤਲੀਨੇਆਪਹਕਾਰਿ॥੧੫੦੩॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੦੩॥
Already when Ganesh, Shiva, Dattatreya and ganas were viewing the battlefield, there and then the king himself challenged them to fight.1503.
ਸਵੈਯਾ॥

ਰੇਸਿਵਆਜਅਯੋਧਨਮੈਲਰਿਲੈਹਮਸੋਕਰਲੈਬਲਜੇਤੋ॥
ਹੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ! ਅਜ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਲੈ, ਜਿਤਨਾ ਵੀ (ਤੇਰਾ) ਬਲ ਹੈ, (ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ) ਲਗਾ ਲੈ।
“O Shiva! whatever strength you have today, use it in this war
ਐਰੇਗਨੇਸਲਰੈਹਮਰੇਸੰਗਹੈਤੁਮਰੇਤਨਮੈਬਲਏਤੋ॥
ਓਏ ਗਣੇਸ਼! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇਂਗਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨਾ ਬਲ ਹੈ।
O Ganesh! do have so much strength as to fight with me?
ਕਿਉਰੇਖੜਾਨਨਤੂਗਰਬੈਮਰਹੈਅਬਹੀਇਕਬਾਨਲਗੈਤੋ॥
ਹੇ ਛੇ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਾਰਤਿਕੇ!) ਤੁੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਬਾਣ ਲਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
“Hello Kartikeya! for what you are becoming egoistic? You will be killed with one arrow
ਕਾਹੇਕਉਜੂਝਮਰੋਰਨਮੈਅਬਲਉਨਗਯੋਕਛੁਜੀਅਮਹਿਚੇਤੋ॥੧੫੦੪॥
ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਜੂਝ ਕੇ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ; ਅਜੇ ਤਕ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ॥੧੫੦੪॥
Still nothing has gone wrong, why do you want to die while fighting in the war?”1504.
ਸਿਵਜੂਬਾਚਖੜਗੇਸਸੋ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣਾ:

ਬੋਲਿਉਠਿਯੋਰਿਸਿਕੈਸਿਵਜੂਅਰੇਕਿਉਸੁਨਤੂਗਰਬਾਤੁਹੈਏਤੋ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ (ਝਟ ਹੀ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਲਗਿਆ, ਓਏ! ਸੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਇਤਨਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ?
Shiva spoke in anger, “O king! why are you so proud? Do not indulge in strife with us
ਏਤਨਸਿਉਜਿਨਿਰਾਰਿਮੰਡੋਅਬਿਹੀਲਖਿਹੈਹਮਮੈਬਲੁਜੇਤੋ॥
ਇਤਨਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣੇ ਪਤਾ ਲਗ ਜਾਏਗਾ ਕਿ ਅਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤਨਾ ਬਲ ਹੈ?
You will see just now what strength we have!
ਜੌਤੁਮਮੈਅਤਿਪਉਰਖਹੈਅਬਢੀਲਕਹਾਧਨੁਬਾਨਹਿਲੇਤੋ॥
ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਢਿਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਪਕੜ ਲੈ।
ਜੇਤੋਹੈਦੀਰਘਗਾਤਤਿਹਾਰੋਸੁਬਾਨਨਸੋਕਰਿਹੋਲਹੁਤੇਤੋ॥੧੫੦੫॥
ਤੇਰਾ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਨਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ॥੧੫੦੫॥
“If you have greater courage, then why are you delaying, why do you not take your bow and arrows in your hands? You have a very large body and by piercing it with my arrows, I shall lighten it.”1505.
ਖੜਗੇਸਬਾਚਸਿਵਸੋ॥
ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ:

ਕਿਉਸਿਵਮਾਨਕਰੈਇਤਨੋਭਜਿਹੈਤਬਹੀਜਬਮਾਰਮਚੈਗੀ॥
ਹੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ! ਤੂੰ ਇਤਨਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਮੱਚੇਗੀ, ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਭਜ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ।
“O Shiva! why are you so proud? Now when there will be dreadful fighting, you will run away
ਏਕਹੀਬਾਨਲਗੈਕਪਿਜਿਉਸਿਗਰੀਤੁਮਰੀਅਬਸੈਨਨਚੈਗੀ॥
ਇਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਣ ਦੇ ਲਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਬੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਚਣ ਲਗ ਜਾਏਗੀ।
With the infliction of a single arrow, all your army will dance like a monkey
ਭੂਤਪਿਸਾਚਨਕੀਧੁਜਨੀਮਰਿਹੈਰਨਮੈਨਹੀਨੈਕੁਬਚੈਗੀ॥
ਭੂਤਾਂ ਪਿਸਾਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰੀ ਜਾਏਗੀ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚੇਗਾ।
“All the army of the ghosts and fiends will be vanquished and there will be no survivor
ਤੇਰੇਹੀਸ੍ਰਉਨਤਸੋਸੁਨਿਆਜੁਧਰਾਇਹਆਰੁਨਬੇਖਰਚੈਗੀ॥੧੫੦੬॥
ਸੁਣ, ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਅਜ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੂਹਾ ਭੇਸ ਕਰੇਗੀ ॥੧੫੦੬॥
O Shiva! listen, this earth saturated with your blood will wear the red garb today.”1506.

TOTAK STANZA
ਸਿਵਯੌਸੁਨਿਕੈਧਨੁਬਾਨਲੀਓ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ
ਕਸਿਕਾਨਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਲਉਛਾਡਿਦੀਓ॥
ਅਤੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤਕ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ (ਬਾਣ) ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Hearing these words, Shiva held up his bow and arrows and pulling his bow upto his ear, he discharged the arrow, which struck the face of the king
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਮੁਖਲਾਗਬਿਰਾਜਰਹਿਓ॥
(ਉਹ ਬਾਣ) ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ ਵਜ ਕੇ ਖੁਭ ਗਿਆ,
ਖਗਰਾਜਮਨੋਅਹਿਰਾਜਗਹਿਓ॥੧੫੦੭॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਗਰੁੜ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੫੦੭॥
It appeared that Garuda had caught the king of the snakes.1507.
ਬਰਛੀਤਬਭੂਪਚਲਾਇਦਈ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਬਰਛੀ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ
ਸਿਵਕੇਉਰਮੈਲਗਕ੍ਰਾਤਿਭਈ॥
ਜੋ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਗ ਕੇ ਇੰਜ ਚਮਕਣ ਲਗੀ ਹੈ
Then the king struck his lance, which hit the chest of Shiva
ਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਨੇਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹੀ॥
(ਕਿ) ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹੀ ਹੈ,
ਰਵਿਕੀਕਰਕੰਜਪੈਮੰਡਿਰਹੀ॥੧੫੦੮॥
(ਮਾਨੋ) ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਦੇ ਫੁਲ ਉਤੇ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੫੦੮॥
It appeared that the ray of the sun was hovering over the lotus.1508.
ਤਬਹੀਹਰਿਦ੍ਵੈਕਰਿਖੈਂਚਿਨਿਕਾਰੀ॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਬਰਛੀ) ਖਿਚਹ ਕੇ ਕਢ ਲਈ
ਗਹਿਡਾਰਦਈਮਨੋਨਾਗਨਿਕਾਰੀ॥
ਅਤੇ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ (ਇੰਜ) ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਲੀ ਨਾਗਨ (ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਸੁਟੀ ਹੋਵੇ)।
Then Shiva pulled it out with both his hands and threw that lance like a black she-serpent on the earth
ਬਹੁਰੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਮ੍ਯਾਨਤੇਖਗੁਨਿਕਾਰਿਓ॥
ਫਿਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕਢ ਲਈ
ਕਰਿਕੈਬਲੁਕੋਸਿਵਊਪਰਡਾਰਿਓ॥੧੫੦੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧੫੦੯॥
Then the king drew out his sword from the scabbard and with great force struck its blow on Shiva.1509.
ਹਰਮੋਹਿਰਹਿਓਗਿਰਭੂਮਿਪਰਿਓ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ।
ਮਨੋਬਜ੍ਰਪਰਿਓਗਿਰਿਸ੍ਰਿੰਗਝਰਿਓ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਗਾ) ਮਾਨੋ ਬਜ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਵਜਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਝੜ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ।
Shiva became unconscious and fell on the ground like the peak of the mountain falling down with the blow of vajra
