ਇਹਕੇਬਧਕੋਏਕੁਉਪਾਈ॥
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਇਕੋ ਉਪਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋਪ੍ਰਭਤੋਕਹਿਕਹਤਸੁਨਾਈ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਉਹ (ਮੈਂ) ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
“I relate to you the remedy for killing him
ਬਿਸਨਆਇਜੋਯਾਸੰਗਿਲਰੈ॥
ਜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰੇਗਾ
ਤਾਹਿਭਜਾਵੈਬਿਲਮੁਨਕਰੈ॥੧੫੩੮॥
ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਭਜਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਿਚ (ਇਹ) ਦੇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥੧੫੩੮॥
Even if Vishnu comes to fight with him, he will cause him to run away without delay.1538.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਦ੍ਵਾਦਸਭਾਨਬੁਲਾਵਹੁ॥
ਇੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਵੋ
ਰੁਦ੍ਰਗਿਆਰਹਮਿਲਕਰਿਧਾਵਹੁ॥
ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਰੁਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰੋ।
“Call Indra and twelve Suryas and in unison with eleven Rudras attack him
ਸੋਮਸੁਜਮਆਠੋਬਸਜੋਧੇ॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਠ ਬਸੂ (ਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ)।
ਐਸੀਬਿਧਿਬਿਧਿਹਰਹਿੰਪ੍ਰਬੋਧੇ॥੧੫੩੯॥
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ॥੧੫੩੯॥
Call also Chandrama and eight Yama warriors,” Brahma told Krishna all such method.1539.
ਸੋਰਠਾ॥

SORTHA
ਏਸਭਸੁਭਟਬੁਲਾਇਜੁਧਕਾਜਰਨਿਪ੍ਰਗਟਹੀ॥
ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਓ।
ਆਪੁਨੇਦਲਹਿਾਂਜਗਾਇਕਹੋਜੂਝਏਊਕਰਹਿਾਂ॥੧੫੪੦॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਚੇਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਹੋ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ॥੧੫੪੦॥
“Move to the battlefield, after calling all these warriors and challenging the king, make your army fight with him.1540.

ਪੁਨਿਅਪਛਰਾਸਕਲਬੁਲਾਵਹੁ॥
ਫਿਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਓ
ਇਹਕੀਅਗ੍ਰਜਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਨਚਾਵਹੁ॥
ਅਤੇ ਇਸ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਨਚਾਓ।
“Then call all the heavenly damsels and make them dance before him
ਕਾਮਦੇਵਕਉਆਇਸਦੀਜੈ॥
ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿਓ
ਯਾਕੋਚਿਤਮੋਹਿਕਰਿਲੀਜੈ॥੧੫੪੧॥
ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ॥੧੫੪੧॥
Command also the god of love and make his mind infatuated.”1541.

ਤਬਹਿਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਸੋਊਕੀਓਜੋਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਸਿਖਦੀਨ॥
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਓਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
Then as told by Brahma, Krishna did all that
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਸੂਰਸਬਰੁਦ੍ਰਬਸਜਮਹਿਬੋਲਿਕਰਲੀਨ॥੧੫੪੨॥
ਇੰਦਰ, ਸੂਰਜ, ਰੁਦਰ, ਬਸੂ, ਯਮ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ (ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ) ਲਿਆ ॥੧੫੪੨॥
He called all Indra, Surya, Rudra and Yamas.1542.

ਨਿਕਟਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਤਬਸਬਆਏ॥
ਤਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਗਏ
ਕ੍ਰੋਧਹੋਇਮਨਜੁਧਹਿਧਾਏ॥
ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ।
Then all came to Krishna and getting enraged marched away for war
ਇਤਸਬਮਿਲਕੈਜੁਧਮਚਾਯੋ॥
ਇਧਰ ਸਭ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
ਉਤਅਪਛਰਾਨਭਿਝਰਲਾਯੋ॥੧੫੪੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਧਰ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ (ਨਾਚ ਗਾਣੇ ਦਾ) ਰੰਗ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੪੩॥
On this side they began to wage war and on the other side, the heavenly damsels began to dance in the sky.1543.

ਕੈਕੈਕਟਾਛਨਚੈਤੇਊਭਾਮਿਨਗੀਤਸਬੈਮਿਲਕੈਸੁਰਗਾਵੈ॥
ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ (ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ) ਨਚਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Throwing their side-glances, the beautiful young damsels began to dance and sing in melodious voices
ਬੀਨਪਖਾਵਜਤਾਲਬਜੈਡਫਭਾਤਿਅਨੇਕਨਭਾਉਦਿਖਾਵੈ॥
ਬੀਨ, ਪਖਾਵਜ, ਛੈਣੇ, ਡਫ (ਆਦਿਕ ਸਾਜ਼) ਵਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ) ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਵ-ਭਾਵ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Playing on the lyres, drums and tabors etc.,
ਸਾਰੰਗਸੋਰਠਿਮਾਲਸਿਰੀਅਰੁਰਾਮਕਲੀਨਟਸੰਗਮਿਲਾਵੈ॥
ਸਾਰੰਗ, ਸੋਰਠ, ਮਾਲਸਿਰੀ, ਰਾਮਕਲੀ, ਨਟ ਆਦਿਕ ਰਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
They exhibited various kinds of gestures
ਭੋਗਨਿਮੋਹਿਕੀਬਾਤਕਿਤੀਸੁਨਿਕੈਮਨਜੋਗਨਕੇਦ੍ਰਵਜਾਵੈ॥੧੫੪੪॥
ਭੋਗੀਆਂ (ਵਿਲਾਸੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਕੀ, (ਉਸ ਨਾਚ-ਗਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਜੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵੀ ਪੰਘਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੫੪੪॥
They sang in the musical modes of Sarang, Sorath, Malvi, Ramkali, Nat etc., seeing all this, let us not talk of the enjoyers, even the Yogis got attracted.1544.
ਉਤਸੁੰਦਰਨਿਰਤਕਰੈਨਭਮੈਇਤਬੀਰਸਬੈਮਿਲਿਜੁਧਕਰੈ॥
ਉਧਰ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਸੁੰਦਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਚ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਧਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਵੀਰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
On that side, in the sky, an elegant dance is going on
ਬਰਛੀਕਰਵਾਰਕਟਾਰਨਸਿਉਜਬਹੀਮਨਮੈਅਤਿਕ੍ਰੁਧਭਰੈ॥
ਬਰਛੀਆਂ, ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ, ਕਟਾਰਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਨੂੰ (ਪਕੜ ਕੇ) ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਭਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
On this side, the warriors are engaged in war taking their lances, swords and daggers
ਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਅਯੋਧਨਮੈਰਦਨਛਦਪੀਸਕੈਆਨਿਪਰੈਨਡਰੈ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ (ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਂਹਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਆ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਡਰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
The poet says that these warriors have come to fight in the war-arena, fearlessly gnashing their teeth
ਲਰਿਕੈਮਰਿਕੈਜੁਕਬੰਧਉਠੈਅਰਿਕੈਸੁਅਪਛਰਤਾਹਿਬਰੈ॥੧੫੪੫॥
ਲੜ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਕਬੰਧ (ਧੜ) ਉਠ ਕੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਵੈਰੀ ਨਾਲ (ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਰ ਲੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੧੫੪੫॥
Those who die while fighting and the trunks that rise in the battlefield, the heavenly damsels are relating them.1545.

ਬਡੋਜੁਧੁਭੂਪਤਿਕੀਓਮਨਮੈਕੋਪਬਢਾਇ॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਕੜਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
The king, in fury, waged a dreadful war and all the gods had to face extreme difficulties.1546.
ਸਬਦੇਵਨਕੋਦਿਨਪਰੈਸੋਕਬਿਕਹਤਸੁਨਾਇ॥੧੫੪੬॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਉਤੇ (ਜੋ) ਮਾੜੇ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਬਣੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਵੀ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੪੬॥

ਗਿਆਰਹਰੁਦ੍ਰਨਕੋਸਰਬਾਇਸਦ੍ਵਾਦਸਭਾਨਨਚਉਬਿਸਿਮਾਰੇ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਰੁਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਈ ਬਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਵੀ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ
The king shot twenty-two arrows to the eleven Rudras and twenty-four to twelve Suryas
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਸਹੰਸ੍ਰਖੜਾਨਨਕੋਖਟਪਾਚਸਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੋਕੋਪਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ, ਛੇ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਾਰਤਿਕੇ) ਨੂੰ ਛੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਝੀ ਬਾਣ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ।
He shot one thousand arrows towards Indra, six to Kartikeya and twenty-five to Krishna
ਸੋਮਕੋਸਾਠਗਨੇਸਕੋਸਤਰਆਠਬਸੂਨਕੋਚਉਸਠਡਾਰੇ॥
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਠ, ਗਣੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਤਰ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਠ ਬਸੂਆ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਂਹਠ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ।
He shot sixty arrows to Chandrama, seventy-eight to Ganesh and sixty-four to Vasus of gods
ਸਾਤਕੁਬੇਰਕੋਨਉਜਮਰਾਜਹਿਏਕਹੀਏਕਸੋਅਉਰਸੰਘਾਰੇ॥੧੫੪੭॥
ਕੁਬੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਤ, ਯਮਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਹੀ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੫੪੭॥
Seven arrows were shot to Kuber and nine to Yama and killed the remaining ones by one arrow each.1547.
ਬਾਨਨਬੇਧਿਜਲਾਧਿਪਿਕਉਨਲਕੂਬਰਅਉਜਮਕੇਉਰਿਮਾਰਿਓ॥
ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਨ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਲ, ਕੂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਮ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ (ਬਾਣ) ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ।
After piercing Varuna with his arrows, he also shot an arrow in the heart of Nalkoober and Yama
ਅਉਰਕਹਾਲਗਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਗਨੈਜੁਹੁਤੇਰਨਮੈਸਬਹੂਨਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਓ॥
ਹੋਰ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ (ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰੇ, ਜੋ ਵੀ ਰਣ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ, ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
How to count the others? All those who were engaged in war, they all received blows from the king
ਸੰਕਤਮਾਨਭਏਸਬਹੀਕਿਨਹੂੰਨਹੀਭੂਪਕੀਓਰਿਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ) ਸ਼ੰਕਾਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਵਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
All become doubtful about their own protection, none of them took courage to see towards the king
ਮਾਨੋਜੁਗੰਤਕੇਅੰਤਸਮੈਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓਕਲਿਕਾਲਤਿਨੋਸੁਬਿਚਾਰਿਓ॥੧੫੪੮॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਸਮੇਂ 'ਕਲਿ ਕਾਲ' ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਇਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੫੪੮॥
They all considered the king as Kal (death) who manifested himself at the end of the age in order to destroy all of them.1548.

ਤਿਆਗਿਦਯੋਰਨਤ੍ਰਾਸਬਢਾਯੋ॥
(ਸਭ ਨੇ) ਡਰ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
They abandoned the war and become fearful
