ਜਿਉਤੜਾਗਆਪਕਉਸੁਮਾਲਾਜੈਸੇਜਾਪੁਕਉਸੋਪੁੰਨਿਜੈਸੇਪਾਪਕਉਜਿਉਆਲਬਾਲਤਰੁਕੋ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤਾਲਾਬ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮਾਲਾ ਜਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗੋਲ ਵਟ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਨੂੰ (ਘੇਰੀ ਰਖਦੀ ਹੈ);
Just as the tank surrounds the water, the rosary surrounds the repetition of the name, the virtues surround the vices and the creeper surrounds the cucumber
ਜੈਸੇਉਡਧ੍ਰੂਅਕਉਸਮੁਦਰਜੈਸੇਭੂਅਕਉਸੁਤੈਸੇਘੇਰਿਲੀਨੋਹੈਖੜਗਸਿੰਘਬਰਕੋ॥੧੬੩੫॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤਾਰੇ ਧ੍ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ (ਘੇਰੀ ਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਯੋਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੩੫॥
Just as the sky surrounds the pole star, the ocean surrounds the earth in the same way, these heroes have surrounded the mighty Kharag Singh.1635.

ਜਦੋਂ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦੋਂ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਇਆ।
After surrounding Kharag Singh, Duryodhana was greatly enraged
ਪਾਰਥਭੀਮਜੁਧਿਸਟਰਭੀਖਮਅਉਰਹਲੀਹਲੁਪਾਨਿਲਯੋਹੈ॥
ਅਰਜਨ, ਭੀਮ ਸੈਨ, ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਰ, ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹਲ ਚੁਕ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Arjuna, Bhima, Yudhishtar and Bhishma took their weapons and Balram carried his plough
ਭਾਨੁਜਦ੍ਰਉਣਜੁਅਉਰਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਲਏਅਰਿਓਰਿਗਯੋਹੈ॥
ਕਰਨ ('ਭਾਨੁਜ') ਦ੍ਰੋਣਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਚਾਰੀਆ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਵਲ ਵਧੇ ਹਨ।
ਅਤ੍ਰਨਲਾਤਨਮੂਕਨਦਾਤਨਕੋਤਹਾਆਹਵਹੋਤਭਯੋਹੈ॥੧੬੩੬॥
ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ, ਲੱਤਾਂ, ਮੁਕਿਆਂ, ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਥੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੋਣ ਲਗ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੩੬॥
Dronacharya, Kripacharya, Karana etc., have advanced towards the enemy and the dreadful fighting began with arms, legs, fists and teeth.1636.
ਸ੍ਰੀਖੜਗੇਸਲਯੋਧਨੁਬਾਨਸੰਭਾਰਿਕਈਅਰਿਕੋਟਿਸੰਘਾਰੇ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਕਰੋੜ ਵੈਰੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
Kharag Singh, holding his bow and arrows killed millions of enemies
ਬਾਜਪਰੇਕਹੂੰਤਾਜਗਿਰੇਗਜਰਾਜਗਿਰੇਗਿਰਿਸੇਧਰਿਕਾਰੇ॥
ਕਿਤੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਕਿਤੇ (ਸਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ) ਤਾਜ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਕਿਤੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
Somewhere horses, somewhere the black elephants like mountains have fallen down
ਘਾਇਲਏਕਪਰੇਤਰਫੈਸੁਮਨੋਕਰਸਾਯਲਸਿੰਘਬਿਡਾਰੇ॥
ਕਈ ਘਾਇਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੜਫ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ 'ਕਰਸਾਯਲ' (ਕਾਲੇ ਹਿਰਨ) ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਏਕਬਲੀਕਰਵਾਰਨਸੋਅਰਿਲੋਥਪਰੀਤਿਹਮੂੰਡਉਤਾਰੇ॥੧੬੩੭॥
ਕਈ ਬਲਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਡਿਗੀਆਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੬੩੭॥
Some of them, having fallen, are writhing like young one of an elephant crushed by lion and some of them are so powerful, who are severing the heads of the fallen corpses.1637.
ਭੂਪਤਿਬਾਨਕਮਾਨਗਹੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਨਕੇਅਭਿਮਾਨਉਤਾਰੇ॥
ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼-ਬਾਣ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਯਾਦਵ ਸੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਉਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਫੇਰਿਲਈਜਮਧਾਰਿਸੰਭਾਰਿਹਕਾਰਕੇਸਤ੍ਰਨਕੇਉਰਫਾਰੇ॥
ਫਿਰ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਜਮਧਾੜ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਾੜਿਆ ਹੈ।
The king, taking up his bow and arrows pulverised the pride of Yadavas and then taking up the axe in his hand, he tore away the hearts of the enemies
ਘਾਇਏਕਗਿਰੇਰਨਮੈਅਪਨੇਮਨਮੈਜਗਦੀਸਸੰਭਾਰੇ॥
ਇਕ ਘਾਇਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਗਦੀਸ਼ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The warriors, getting wounded in the war, are remembering the Lord in their mind
ਤੇਵਹਮੋਖਭਏਤਬਹੀਭਵਕੋਤਰਕੈਹਰਿਲੋਕਿਪਧਾਰੇ॥੧੬੩੮॥
ਫਲਸਰੂਪ, ਉਹ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਤਰ ਕੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਵਿਚ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੬੩੮॥
Those who have died in the war, have attained salvation and they ferried across the dreadful ocean of samsara and gone to the abode of the Lord.1638.

ਨਿਪਟਸੁਭਟਚਟਪਟਕਟੇਖਟਪਟਕਹੀਨਜਾਇ॥
(ਜੋ) ਨਿਪਟ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਯੋਧੇ ਸਨ, (ਉਹ) ਝਟ ਪਟ ਕਟੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। (ਉਸ) ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
The mighty warriors were chopped very quickly and the dreadfulness of the war cannot be described
ਸਟਪਟਜੇਭਾਜੇਤਿਨਹੁਪਾਰਥਕਹਿਓਸੁਨਾਇ॥੧੬੩੯॥
ਪਰ ਜੋ ਸਰਪਟ ਭਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਜਨ ਨੇ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੩੯॥
Those who are running away quickly, Arjuna said to them,1639

ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰੋ! ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਅਜ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਨਾ ਹਟੋ।
“O warriors! do the task assigned by Krishna and do not run away from war-arena
ਧਨੁਬਾਨਸੰਭਾਰਕੈਪਾਨਨਮੈਅਰਿਭੂਪਤਿਕਉਲਲਕਾਰਿਪਰੋ॥
ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਜਾਓ।
Hold your bow and arrows in your hands and fall upon the king shouting at him
ਮੁਖਤੇਮਿਲਿਮਾਰਹੀਮਾਰਰਰੋਅਪੁਨੇਅਪੁਨੇਹਥਿਯਾਰਧਰੋ॥
(ਸਾਰੇ) ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਰੋ-ਮਾਰੋ ਬੋਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ।
“Holding you weapons in your hands, shout ‘kill, kill’
ਤੁਮਤੋਕੁਲਕੀਕਛੁਲਾਜਕਰੋਖੜਗੇਸਕੇਸੰਗਿਲਰੋਨਡਰੋ॥੧੬੪੦॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਤਾਂ ਕੁਲ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਖੋ, ਡਰੋ ਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੬੪੦॥
Think at least something of the tradition of your clan and fight with Kharag Singh fearlessly.”1640.
ਭਾਨੁਜਕੋਪਭਯੋਚਿਤਮੈਤਿਹਭੂਪਤਿਕੇਹਠਿਸਾਮੁਹੇਧਾਯੋ॥
ਕਰਨ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਠ-ਪੂਰਵਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਡਟਿਆ ਹੈ।
Karan, the son of Surya, in anger, stood firmly with persistence in front of the king
ਚਾਪਚਢਾਇਲਯੋਕਰਮੈਸਰਯੌਤਬਹੀਇਕਬੈਨਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਣ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਹ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ
And pulling his bow and taking his arrow in his hand, he said to the king
ਆਯੋਹੈਕੇਹਰਿਕੇਮੁਖਮੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਐਸੇਕਹਿਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਊਸੁਨਿਪਾਯੋ॥
ਕਿ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਨ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸੁਣ ਲਿਆ।
“Do you listen, O king! now you have fallen like a deer in the mouth of a lion like me
ਭੂਪਤਿਹਾਥਿਲਯੋਧਨੁਬਾਨਸੰਭਾਰਿਕਹਿਓਮੁਖਤੇਸਮਝਾਯੋ॥੧੬੪੧॥
(ਉਧਰ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ॥੧੬੪੧॥
” The king took his bow and arrow in his hands and said to the son of Surya instructing him,1641
ਭਾਨੁਜਕਾਹੇਕਉਜੁਝਿਮਰੋਗ੍ਰਿਹਜਾਹੁਭਲੋਦਿਨਕੋਇਕਜੀਜੋ॥
ਹੇ ਕਰਨ! ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਜੂਝ ਕੇ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ! ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਘਰ ਚਲਾ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਜੀ ਲੈ।
“O Karan, the son of Surya! why do you want to die? You may go and remain alive for some days
ਖਾਤਹਲਾਹਲਕਿਉਅਪਨੇਕਰਿਜਾਇਕੈਧਾਮੁਸੁਧਾਰਸੁਪੀਜੋ॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ 'ਹਲਾਹਲ' (ਵਿਸ਼) ਕਿਉਂ ਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੀ।
Why are you taking poison with your own hands, go to your home and quaff the nectar comfortably,”
ਯੌਕਹਿਭੂਪਤਿਬਾਨਹਨਿਓਮੁਖਤੇਕਹਿਯੋਜੁਧਹਿਕੋਫਲੁਲੀਜੋ॥
ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬਾਣ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ (ਇਹ) ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਲੈ।
Saying this, the king discharged his arrow and said, “Look to the reward of coming to the war
ਲਾਗਤਿਬਾਨਗਿਰਿਓਮੁਰਛਾਇਕੈਸ੍ਰਉਨਗਿਰਿਓਸਗਰੋਅੰਗਭੀਜੋ॥੧੬੪੨॥
ਬਾਣ ਦੇ ਲਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਕਰਨ) ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੇ ਵਗਣ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸਾਰਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਲਥ-ਪਥ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੬੪੨॥
” On being hit by the arrow he fell down unconscious and all his body was filled with blood.1642.
ਤਉਹੀਲਉਭੀਮਗਦਾਗਹਿਕੈਪੁਨਿਪਾਰਥਲੈਕਰਮੈਧਨਧਾਯੋ॥
ਉਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਭੀਮ ਗਦਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅਰਜਨ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
Then Bhima ran with his mace and Arjuna with his bow
ਭੀਖਮਦ੍ਰੋਣਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਸਹਦੇਵਸੁਭੂਰਸ੍ਰਵਾਮਨਿਕੋਪਬਢਾਯੋ॥
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ, ਦ੍ਰੋਣਾਚਾਰੀਆ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਚਾਰੀਆ, ਸਹਿਦੋਵ ਅਤੇ ਭੂਰਸ਼੍ਰਵਾ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਧਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Bhishma, Drona, Kripacharya, Sahdev Bhurshrava etc. also got enraged
ਸ੍ਰੀਦੁਰਜੋਧਨਰਾਇਜੁਧਿਸਟਰਸ੍ਰੀਬਿਜਨਾਇਕਲੈਦਲੁਆਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ, ਰਾਜਾ ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Duryodhana, Yudhishtar and Krishna also came with their army
ਭੂਪਕੇਤੀਰਨਕੇਡਰਤੇਬਰਬੀਰਨਤਉਮਨਮੈਡਰਪਾਯੋ॥੧੬੪੩॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਡਰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੪੩॥
With the arrows of the king, the mighty warriors became fearful in their mind.1643.
ਤਉਲਗਿਸ੍ਰੀਪਤਿਆਪਕੁਪਿਯੋਸਰਭੂਪਤਿਕੇਉਰਮੈਇਕਮਾਰਿਓ॥
ਤਦ ਤਕ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ (ਇਕ) ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ।
Till that time, Krishna, in great ire, shot an arrow in the heart of the king
ਏਕਹੀਬਾਨਕੋਤਾਨਤਬੈਤਿਹਸਾਰਥੀਕੋਪ੍ਰਤਿਅੰਗਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਓ॥
ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਬਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ('ਪ੍ਰਤਿਅੰਗ') ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Now he, pulling his bow discharged an arrow towards the charioteer
ਭੂਪਤਿਆਗੇਹੀਹੋਤਭਯੋਰਨਭੂਮਹਿਤੇਨਟਰਿਓਪਗਟਾਰਿਓ॥
(ਪਰ) ਰਾਜਾ ਅਗੇ ਹੀ ਵਧਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਟਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਪੈਰ ਪਿਛੇ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਸਕਾਏ।
Now the king advanced forward and his feet slipped in the battlefield
ਸੂਰਸਰਾਹਤਭੇਸਭਹੀਜਸੁਯੋਂਮੁਖਤੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਉਚਾਰਿਓ॥੧੬੪੪॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਾਹਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ ਵੀ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਯਸ਼ ਮੁਖ ਤੋਂ ਇੰਜ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੪੪॥
The poet says that all the warriors began to eulogise this war.1644.
ਸ੍ਰੀਹਰਿਕੋਅਵਿਲੋਕਕੈਆਨਨਇਉਕਹਿਕੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਬਾਤਸੁਨਾਈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਾਈ
ਛੂਟਰਹੀਅਲਕੈਕਟਿਲਉਉਪਮਾਮੁਖਕੀਬਰਨੀਨਹੀਜਾਈ॥
(ਕਿ ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ!) ਲਕ ਤਕ (ਤੇਰੀਆਂ) ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਾਂ ਲਟਕ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ।
Seeing Krishna, the king said, “You have got very beautiful hair and the glory of your face is indescribable
ਚਾਰੁਦਿਪੈਅਖੀਆਨਦੋਊਉਪਮਾਨਕਛੂਇਨਤੇਅਧਿਕਾਈ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ; ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਧ ਉਪਮਾ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
“Your eyes are extremely charming and they cannot be compared with anything
ਜਾਹੁਚਲੇਤੁਮਕਉਹਰਿਛਾਡਤਿਲੈਹੁਕਹਾਹਠਿਠਾਨਿਲਰਾਈ॥੧੬੪੫॥
(ਇਥੋਂ) ਚਲਿਆ ਜਾ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਛਡ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਹਠ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ ॥੧੬੪੫॥
O Krishna! you may go away, I leave you, what will you gain by fighting?” 1645.
ਧਨੁਬਾਨਸੰਭਾਰਿਕਹਿਯੋਬਹੁਰੋਹਮਰੀਬਤੀਯਾਹਰਿਜੂਸੁਨਿਲੀਜੈ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਧਨੁਸ਼-ਬਾਣ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ।
ਕਿਉਹਠਿਠਾਨਿਅਯੋਧਨਮੈਹਮਸਿਉਸਮੁਹਾਇਕੈਆਹਵਕੀਜੈ॥
ਕਿਉਂ ਹਠ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ-ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
Holing his bow and arrows, the king said to Krishna, “You listen to me, why are you coming before me to fight persistently?
ਮਾਰਤਹੋਅਬਤੋਹਿਨਛਾਡਤਜਾਹੁਭਲੇਅਬਲਉਨਹੀਛੀਜੈ॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣੇ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਛਡਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ (ਘਰ ਚਲਾ) ਜਾ, ਅਜੇ ਤਕ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਗੜਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
“I shall kill you now and shall not leave you, otherwise you may go away
ਮਾਨਕਹਿਓਹਮਰੋਪੁਰਕੀਕਜਰਾਰਨਿਕੋਨਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਦੁਖਦੀਜੈ॥੧੬੪੬॥
ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੰਨ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਖ ਨਾ ਦੇ ॥੧੬੪੬॥
Nothing has gone wrong even now, obey me and do not uselessly put in anguish the women of the city by dying.1646.
ਹਉਹਠਠਾਨਿਅਯੋਧਨਮੈਘਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਘਨੇਰਨਬੀਰਨਿਬੇਰੇ॥
ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਮੈਂ ਹਠ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਣਬੀਰ ਨਿਬੇੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
