ਪੁਨਿਅਪਛ੍ਰਨਆਇਸਦੀਜੈ॥
(ਹੁਣ) ਫਿਰ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿਓ
ਜਾਸੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਰੀਝੈਸੋਈਕੀਜੈ॥
(ਕਿ ਇਹ) ਓਹੀ ਕਰਨ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ।
ਕਉਤਕਿਹੇਰਿਭੂਪਜਬਲੈਹੈ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਵੇਖ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ
ਘਟਿਜੈਹੈਬਲਮਨਦ੍ਰਵਿਜੈਹੈ॥੧੬੭੬॥
(ਇਸ ਦਾ) ਮਨ ਦ੍ਰਵਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਲ ਘਟ ਜਾਏਗਾ ॥੧੬੭੬॥
“Therefore command the heavenly damsels to do that with which the king feels pleased, when the king will be immersed in such a spectacle, his power will decline.”1676.

ਕਮਲਜਯੌਹਰਿਸਿਉਕਹਿਯੋਸੁਨੀਬਾਤਸੁਰਰਾਜ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਨੇ (ਇਹ) ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ।
ਨਭਿਨਿਹਾਰਬਾਸਵਕਹਿਯੋਕਰਹੁਨ੍ਰਿਤਸੁਰਰਾਜ॥੧੬੭੭॥
ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਲ ਤਕ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਸੁਅਰਗ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਰਾਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਓ! ਨਾਚ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੬੭੭॥
When Brahma said this, Indra heard all this, Brahma looking towards the sky, said to Indra, “O the king of gods! arrange the dance.”1677.

ਉਤਦੇਵਬਧੂਮਿਲਿਨ੍ਰਿਤਕਰੈਇਤਸੂਰਸਬੈਮਿਲਜੁਧੁਮਚਾਯੋ॥
ਉਧਰ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਨਾਚ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਇਧਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
On that side, the heavenly damsels began to dance, and on this side, the warriors began the war
ਕਿੰਨਰਗੰਧ੍ਰਬਗਾਵਤਹੈਉਤਮਾਰੂਬਜੈਰਨਮੰਗਲਗਾਯੋ॥
ਕਿੰਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਧਰ ਮਾਰੂ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਂਗਲਿਕ (ਗੀਤ) ਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Kinnars and Gandharvas sand and the musical instruments of were played
ਕਉਤੁਕਦੇਖਿਬਡੋਤਿਨਕੋਇਹਭੂਪਤਿਕੋਮਨਤਉਬਿਰਮਾਯੋ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਡੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਦਾ ਮਨ ਲੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਅਚਾਨਲਯੋਧਨੁਤਾਨਿਸੁਬਾਨਮਹਾਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਤਨਿਲਾਯੋ॥੧੬੭੮॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹੀ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਕਸ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਤਕੜਾ ਬਾਣ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੬੭੮॥
Seeing this spectacle, the mind of the king deviated and at the same time, suddenly Krishna pulled his bow and shot an arrow into the body of the king.1678.
ਲਾਗਤਹੀਸਰਮੋਹਿਤਭਯੋਤੇਊਤੀਰਨਸੋਬਰਬੀਰਸੰਘਾਰੇ॥
ਬਾਣ ਲਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਰਾਜਾ) ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
With the infliction of the arrow, the king became enamoured, but still he killed the warriors
ਗਿਆਰਹਰੁਦ੍ਰਨਿਕੇਅਗਨੰਗਨਮਾਰਿਲਏਹਰਿਲੋਕਿਸਿਧਾਰੇ॥
ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਰੁਦਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਗਣ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਉਹ) ਸ਼ਿਵ ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Killing innumerable ganas of eleven Rudras, he despatched them to the next world
ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸਭਾਨਜਲਾਧਿਪਅਉਸਸਿਇੰਦ੍ਰਕੁਬੇਰਕੇਅੰਗਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ॥
ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ, ਵਰੁਨ ਦੇਵਤਾ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਇੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਬੇਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਕਟ ਸੁਟੇ ਹਨ।
Twelve Suryas, Varuna, Chandra, Indra, Kuber etc. were struck blows
ਅਉਰਜਿਤੇਭਟਠਾਢੇਰਹੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਬਿਪਤੇਕਰਿਡਾਰੇ॥੧੬੭੯॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੋਰ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਅਪਮਾਨਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੭੯॥
The poet Shyam says that all other warriors struck blows, the poet Shyam says that all other warriors who were standing there, were all put to shame.1679.
ਸਕ੍ਰਕੋਸਾਠਲਗਾਵਤਭਯੋਸਰਦ੍ਵੈਸਤਿਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਕੇਗਾਤਲਗਾਏ॥
ਇੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਠ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਸੌ (ਤੀਰ) ਲਗਾਏ ਹਨ।
ਚਉਸਠਿਬਾਨਹਨੇਜਮਕੋਰਵਿਦ੍ਵਾਦਸਦ੍ਵਾਦਸਕੇਸੰਗਘਾਏ॥
ਯਮਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਂਹਠ ਬਾਣ ਲਗੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸੂਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
He discharged sixty arrows towards Indra, two hundred to Krishna, sixty-four to Yama and twelve to twelve Suryas and wounded them
ਸੋਮਕੋਸਉਸਤਰੁਦ੍ਰਕੋਚਾਰਲਗਾਵਤਭਯੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੁਨਾਏ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਸੌ ਅਤੇ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ।
He shot one hundred arrows to Chandrama and four to Rudra
ਸ੍ਰੌਨਭਰੇਸਬਕੇਪਟਮਾਨਹੁਚਾਚਰਖੇਲਿਅਬੈਭਟਆਏ॥੧੬੮੦॥
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਬੜ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਲੀ ਖੇਡ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੬੮੦॥
The clothes of all these warriors were saturated with blood, and it seemed that all of them had come after playing Holi.1680.

ਅਉਰਸੁਭਟਬਹੁਤੇਤਿਹਮਾਰੇ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ,
ਜੂਝਪਰੇਜਮਧਾਮਿਸਿਧਾਰੇ॥
(ਜੋ) ਵੀ ਲੜੇ ਯਮਲੋਕ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ।
Many other warriors were killed there and they reached the abode of Yama
ਤਬਨ੍ਰਿਪਪੈਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਚਲਆਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ।
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਯਹਬੈਨਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥੧੬੮੧॥
ਸ਼ਿਆਮ (ਕਵੀ) ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਕਹਿ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ॥੧੬੮੧॥
Then the king came to Brahma and said,1681
ਕਹਿਓਸੁਕਿਉਇਨਕਉਰਨਿਮਾਰੈ॥
(ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ) ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਿਆ, (ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਤੂੰ) ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਕੋਪਕੈਕਿਉਸਰਡਾਰੈ॥
ਵਿਅਰਥ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
“Why are you killing them in the war, and why are you discharging your arrows in fury in vain?
ਤਾਤੇਇਹੈਕਾਜਅਬਕੀਜੈ॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ
ਦੇਹਸਹਿਤਨਭਿਮਾਰਗਲੀਜੈ॥੧੬੮੨॥
ਅਤੇ ਦੇਹ ਸਮੇਤ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਗ ਫੜ ॥੧੬੮੨॥
Now you may do one thing and go to heavens alongwith your body.1682.
ਜੁਧਕਥਾਨਹੀਰਿਦੈਚਿਤਾਰੋ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿੱਤਾਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ
ਅਪਨੋਅਗਲੋਕਾਜਸਵਾਰੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਗਲੇ (ਲੋਕ ਦਾ) ਕੰਮ ਸੰਵਾਰ।
“Do no think of war now and amend your future
ਤਾਤੇਅਬਿਬਿਲੰਬਨਹੀਕੀਜੈ॥
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਦੇਰ ਨਾ ਕਰ
ਮੇਰੋਕਹਿਯੋਮਾਨਕੈਲੀਜੈ॥੧੬੮੩॥
ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਲੈ ॥੧੬੮੩॥
Do not delay now and follow my saying.1683.
ਸਵੈਯਾ॥

ਇੰਦ੍ਰਕੇਧਾਮਚਲੋਬਲਵਾਨਸੁਜਾਨਸੁਨੋਅਬਢੀਲਨਕੀਜੈ॥
ਹੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ! ਹੁਣ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੋ। ਹੇ ਸੁਜਾਨ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਹੁਣ ਦੇਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
ਦੇਵਬਧੂਜੋਊਚਾਹਤਹੈਤਿਨਕੋਮਿਲੀਐਮਿਲਕੈਸੁਖਲੀਜੈ॥
ਜੋ ਵੀ ਦੇਵ-ਇਸਤਰੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਓ।
“O mighty one! now you may go to the world of Indra without any delay and meeting the desired damsels enjoy them
ਤੇਰੋਮਨੋਰਥਪੂਰਨਹੋਤਹੈਮਾਨਕਹਿਓਨ੍ਰਿਪਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪੀਜੈ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀ ਲਵੋ।
“O king! you have fulfilled your objective and now you may quaff the nectar of the name of the Lord
ਰਾਜਨਰਾਜਸਮਾਜਤਜੋਇਨਬੀਰਨਕੋਨਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਦੁਖੁਦੀਜੈ॥੧੬੮੪॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਰਾਜ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਦਾ ਦੁਖ ਨਾ ਦਿਓ ॥੧੬੮੪॥
You may now leave the company of these kings and do not put tot anguish these warriors uselessly.”1684.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ
ਅਤਿਚਿਤਿਹਰਖਬਢਾਇਕੈਬੋਲਿਓਬਿਧਿਸੋਬੈਨ॥੧੬੮੫॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਧਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ॥੧੬੮੫॥
Hearing these words of Brahma, that calamitous king for the enemies, getting extremely pleased in his mind, said to Brahma,1685

ਯੌਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਸੋਬੈਨਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ,
ਤੋਸਿਉਕਹੋਜੁਮਨਮੈਆਯੋ॥
ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
“O Brahma! tell you whatever I think in my mind
ਮੋਸੋਬੀਰਸਸਤ੍ਰਜਬਧਰੈ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਵੀਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ,
ਕਹੋਬਿਸਨਬਿਨਕਾਸੋਲਰੈ॥੧੬੮੬॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ (ਹੋਰ) ਕਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇਗਾ ॥੧੬੮੬॥
A hero like me taking up his weapons, with whom shall he fight except Vishnu?1686.
