ਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਰਨਯਾਬਿਧਿਭੂਪਤਿਸਤ੍ਰਨਿਕੋਜਮਧਾਮਿਪਠਾਵੈ॥੧੭੦੫॥
ਸ਼ਿਆਮ (ਕਵੀ) ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਮ-ਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੦੫॥
In this way, according to the poet, he began to dispatch the enemy to the abode of Yama.1705.
ਹ੍ਵੈਕੈਸੁਚੇਤਚਢਿਯੋਰਥਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਮਹਾਮਨਭੀਤਰਕੋਪਬਢਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਸਚੇਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਧਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਨਪਉਰਖਸੋਊਸੰਭਾਰਕੈਮ੍ਯਾਨਹੁਤੇਕਰਵਾਰਿਕਢਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਆਪਣੀ ਵੀਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ, ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਢ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
When Krishna regained consciousness, he mounted on his chariot in great ire and thinking of his great strength, he drew his sword from the scabbard
ਧਾਇਪਰੇਰਿਸਖਾਇਘਨੀਅਰਿਰਾਇਮਨੋਨਿਧਿਨੀਰਹਢਿਯੋਹੈ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਰੜਾ ਕੇ ਧਾ ਕੇ (ਰਾਜੇ ਉਤੇ) ਜਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮਾਨੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਬਾੜ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ।
Getting highly enraged, he fell upon the terrible enemy like the sea
ਤਾਨਿਕਮਾਨਨਿਮਾਰਤਬਾਨਨਸੂਰਨਕੇਚਿਤਚਉਪਚਢਿਯੋਹੈ॥੧੭੦੬॥
(ਉਹ) ਧੁਨਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਸ ਕਸ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਵਧਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੦੬॥
The warriors also pulled their bows and began to discharge arrows in excitement.1706.
ਬੀਰਨਘਾਇਕਰੇਜਬਹੀਤਬਪਉਰਖਭੂਪਕਬੰਧਸਮਾਰਿਓ॥
ਜਦ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਧੜ ਨੇ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਸੰਭਾਰਤਬੈਅਪੁਨੇਇਨਨਾਸੁਕਰੋਚਿਤਬੀਚਬਿਚਾਰਿਓ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ।
When the warriors inflicted wounds, then the headless trunk of the king controlling his strength and taking up his weapons, thought of destroying the enemy in his mind
ਧਾਇਪਰਿਓਰਿਸਿਸਿਉਰਨਮੈਅਰਿਭਾਜਿਗਏਜਸੁਰਾਮਉਚਾਰਿਓ॥
ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਭਜ ਗਏ। (ਇਸ ਦਾ) ਯਸ਼ (ਕਵੀ) ਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਤਾਰਨਕੋਮਨੋਮੰਡਲਭੀਤਰਸੂਰਚਢਿਓਅੰਧਿਆਰਿਸਿਧਾਰਿਓ॥੧੭੦੭॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਡਲ ਵਿਚ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਭਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੭੦੭॥
He appeared to be like the moon amongst the stars and on the appeared of the moon, the dark ness fled away.1707.
ਸ੍ਰੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਤੇਆਦਿਕਬੀਰਗਏਭਜਿਕੈਨਕੋਊਠਹਿਰਾਨਿਓ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਯੋਧੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ (ਸਾਹਮਣੇ) ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ ਹੈ,
The heroes like Krishna ran away, and none of the warriors stayed there
ਆਹਵਭੂਮਿਮੈਭੂਪਤਿਕੋਸਬਸੂਰਨਮਾਨਹੁਕਾਲਪਛਾਨਿਓ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਯੁੱਧ-ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
To all the warriors the king seemed like Kal (death)
ਭੂਪਕਮਾਨਤੇਬਾਨਚਲੇਮਨੋਅੰਤਿਪ੍ਰਲੈਘਨਸਿਉਬਰਖਾਨਿਓ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਣ (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਚਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਨੋ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਪਰਲੋ ਦੇ ਬਦਲਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਰਖਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
All the arrows emanating from the bow of the king were being showered like clouds of the doomsday
ਇਉਲਖਿਭਾਜਿਗਏਸਿਗਰੇਕਿਨਹੂੰਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਸੰਗਜੁਧੁਨਠਾਨਿਓ॥੧੭੦੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੦੮॥
Seeing all this, all ran away and none of them fought with the king.1708.
ਸਬਹੀਭਟਭਾਜਿਗਏਜਬਹੀਪ੍ਰਭਕੋਤਬਭੂਪਭਯੋਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ॥
ਜਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ, ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਜੂਝਤਬੈਤਿਨਛਾਡਿਦਯੋਹਰਿਧਿਆਨਕੀਤਾਹਿਸਮਾਧਿਸੀਲਾਗੀ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਥੇ (ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸਮਾਧੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਲਗ ਗਈ;
When all the warriors ran away, the king then remembered the Lord and forsaking the fighting, he absorbed himself with the devotion of the Lord
ਰਾਜਨਰਾਜਸਮਾਜਬਿਖੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਹਰਿਮੈਮਤਿਪਾਗੀ॥
ਨਾ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਰਾਜ-ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚ (ਕੋਈ ਰੁਚੀ ਰਹੀ)। ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ
In that society of the kings, the mind of the king Kharag Singh became absorbed in the Lord
ਧੀਰਗਹਿਓਧਰਿਠਾਢੋਰਹਿਓਕਹੋਭੂਪਤਿਤੇਅਬਕੋਬਡਭਾਗੀ॥੧੭੦੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਹੀ ਖੜੋਤਾ ਰਿਹਾ। (ਸਭ) ਕਹੋ ਕਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੁਣ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਣ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੦੯॥
He is firmly standing on the earth, who else is so fortunate like the king?1709.
ਸ੍ਰੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੋਬੀਰਸਭੋਧਰਿਡਾਰਨਿਕੋਜਬਘਾਤਬਨਾਯੋ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਧੜ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ (ਕੋਈ) ਢੰਗ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੇਮਿਲਿਕੈਫਿਰਿਕੈਇਹਪੈਪੁਨਿਬਾਨਨਿਓਘਚਲਾਯੋ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਫਿਰ (ਸਭ ਨੇ) ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਉਤੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਛੜ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
When the warriors of Krishna thought of getting the king fall on the ground and at the same time discharged clusters of arrows on him
ਦੇਵਬਧੂਮਿਲਕੈਸਬਹੂੰਇਹਭੂਪਕਬੰਧਬਿਵਾਨਿਚਢਾਯੋ॥
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇਵ-ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਧੜ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਮਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਕੂਦਪਰਿਓਨਬਿਵਾਨਿਚਢਿਯੋਪੁਨਿਸਸਤ੍ਰਲੀਏਰਨਭੂਮਧਿਆਯੋ॥੧੭੧੦॥
(ਪਰ ਉਹ) ਕੁਦ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ; (ਸਗੋਂ) ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਡਟਿਆ ॥੧੭੧੦॥
All the women of the gods together lifted and put the trunk of the king on the air-vehicle, but still he jumped down from the vehicle and taking his weapons reached the battlefield.1710.

ਧਨੁਖਬਾਨਲੈਪਾਨਮੈਆਨਿਪਰਿਓਰਨਬੀਚ॥
ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਪਿਆ।
ਸੂਰਬੀਰਬਹੁਬਿਧਿਹਨੇਲਲਕਾਰਿਯੋਤਬਮੀਚ॥੧੭੧੧॥
ਜਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਤਦ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਨੂੰ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥੧੭੧੧॥
Taking his bow and arrows in his hands he reached the battlefield and killing many warriors, he began to challenge death.1711.

(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ) ਜਦ ਅੰਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਮ ਲੈਣ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਲਖਿਤਿਹਕੋਤਬਬਾਨਚਲਾਵੈ॥
ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
When the messengers of Yama came to take him, he even discharged his arrows towards them
ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁਪੇਖਕੈਇਤਉਤਟਰੈ॥
ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇਧਰ ਉਧਰ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਰਿਓਕਾਲਹੂੰਕੋਨਹੀਮਰੈ॥੧੭੧੨॥
ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੀ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੧੨॥
He moved here and there, feeling his death at hand, but on being killed by the Kal (death), he was not dying.1712.
ਪੁਨਿਸਤ੍ਰਨਿਦਿਸਿਰਿਸਿਕਰਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਫਿਰ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਦੌੜਿਆ ਹੈ
ਮਾਨਹੁਜਮਮੂਰਤਿਧਰਿਆਯੋ॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਯਮ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
He again, in his fury, fell upon in the direction of the enemy and it seemed that Yama himself was coming in person
ਇਉਸੁਜੁਧੁਬੈਰਿਨਸੰਗਿਕਰਿਓ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿਹਰਬਿਧਿਸੁਭਟਨਿਮਨੁਡਰਿਓ॥੧੭੧੩॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ, ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਅਤੇ (ਹੋਰ) ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੧੩॥
He began to fight with the enemies, when, observing this, Krishna and Shiva were infuriated in their minds.1713.
ਸਵੈਯਾ॥

ਹਾਰਿਪਰੈਮਨੁਹਾਰਿਕਰੈਕਹੈਇਉਨ੍ਰਿਪਜੁਧਬ੍ਰਿਥਾਨਕਰਈਯੈ॥
(ਅਸੀਂ) ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ, ਤਰਲੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਇਉਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਦਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
Being tired, they began to persuade the king by saying, “O king! do not fight now uselessly
ਡਾਰਿਦੈਹਾਥਨਤੇਹਥੀਆਰਨਕੋਪਤਜੋਸੁਖਸਾਤਿਸਮਈਯੈ॥
ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਛਡ ਦਿਓ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿਓ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਈ ਕਰੋ।
There is no warrior like you in all the three worlds and your praise has spread in all these worlds:
ਸੂਰਨਕੋਊਭਯੋਤੁਮਰੇਸਮਤੇਰੋਪ੍ਰਤਾਪਤਿਹੂੰਪੁਰਿਗਈਯੈ॥
ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਯਸ਼ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
“Abandoning your weapons and ire, now be peaceful
ਛਾਡਤਿਹੈਹਮਸਸਤ੍ਰਸਬੈਸੁਬਿਵਾਨਚਢੋਸੁਰਧਾਮਿਸਿਧਈਯੈ॥੧੭੧੪॥
ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੀ (ਹੁਣ) ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਛਡਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵ-ਲੋਕ ਵਲ ਚਾਲੇ ਪਾਓ ॥੧੭੧੪॥
We all forsake our weapons, go to heaven, mounting on the air-vehicle.”1714.

ਸਬਦੇਵਨਅਰੁਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਦੀਨਹ੍ਵੈਜਬਕਹਿਓ॥
ਜਦ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਜਿਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਹਟੋਜੁਧਤੇਭੂਪਹਮੋਮੁਖਿਤ੍ਰਿਨਗਹਿਓ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਅਸੀਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਘਾਹ ਦਾ ਤੀਲਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ) ਕਿ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਓ।
When all the gods and Krishna said these words very humbly and taking the blades of straw in their mouths, they went away from the battlefield,
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਸੁਨਿਆਤੁਰਬੈਨਸੁਕੋਪੁਨਿਵਾਰਿਓ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ) ਦੁਖ ਭਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਹੋਧਨੁਖਬਾਨਦਿਓਡਾਰਿਰਾਮਮਨੁਧਾਰਿਓ॥੧੭੧੫॥
ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਰਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਮ (ਨਾਮ) ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੭੧੫॥
Then listening to their words of distress, the king also abandoned his anger and put his bow and arrows on the earth.1715.

ਕਿੰਨਰਜਛਅਪਛਰਨਿਲਯੋਬਿਵਾਨਚਢਾਇ॥
ਕਿੰਨਰਾਂ, ਯਕਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ (ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ) ਵਿਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਜੈਜੈਕਾਰਅਪਾਰਸੁਨਿਹਰਖੇਮੁਨਿਸੁਰਰਾਇ॥੧੭੧੬॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ) ਅਪਾਰ ਜੈ-ਜੈ-ਕਾਰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੁਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵ-ਰਾਜ ਇੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੭੧੬॥
The Kinnars, Yakshas and the heavenly damsels got him mounted on the ari-vehicle and listening to the shouts hailing him, even Indra, king of the gods also got pleased.1716.
