ਤਾਤੇਬੜੋਜਢਹੈਮ੍ਰਿਗਭੂਪਤਿਕੇਹਰਿਸੋਰਨਜੀਤਨਿਆਯੋ॥੧੮੪੬॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਤਾਂ ਤੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਬਹੁਤ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੈਂ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ) ਹਿਰਨ ਰੂਪ (ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਸ਼ੇਰ ਰੂਪ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਗ ਜਿਤਣ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੮੪੬॥
Are only dreaming about your victory over the lion.1846.

ਜਿਹਸੁਭਟਨਬਲਿਲਰਤਹੈਤੇਸਭਗਏਪਰਾਇ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਬੂਤੇ ਤੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਲੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
“The warriors on whose strength you are fighting, they have all fled away
ਕੈਲਰਮਰਿਕੈਭਾਗਸਠਿਕੈਪਗਹਰਿਕੇਪਾਇ॥੧੮੪੭॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! (ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ) ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾ, ਜਾਂ ਭਜ ਜਾ, ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਜਾ ॥੧੮੪੭॥
Therefore O fool! either run away while fighting or fall down at the feet of Krishna.”1847.

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਲਰਬੋਮਰਬੋਜੀਤਬੋਇਹਸੁਭਟਨਕੇਕਾਮਿ॥੧੮੪੮॥
ਲੜਨਾ, ਮਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਤਣਾ, ਇਹੀ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਰਤੱਵ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੪੮॥
“What if the warriors of my side have been killed, the tasks of the warriors are fighting, dying or gaining victory.”1848.

ਯੌਕਹਿਕੈਮਨਿਕੋਪਭਰਿਯੋਤਬਭੂਪਹਲੀਕਹੁਬਾਨਚਲਾਯੋ॥
ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ (ਰਾਜਾ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਉਤੇ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Saying this, in great fury, the king shot an arrow towards Balram
ਲਾਗਤਿਹੀਨਟਸਾਲਭਯੋਤਨਮੈਬਲਿਭਦ੍ਰਮਹਾਦੁਖੁਪਾਯੋ॥
(ਬਾਣ ਦੇ) ਲਗਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਲੋਟ ਪੋਟ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ।
Which when hit him, gave him extreme agony
ਮੂਰਛਹ੍ਵੈਕਰਿਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਬੀਚਗਿਰਿਯੋਤਿਹਕੋਕਬਿਨੈਜਸੁਗਾਯੋ॥
ਮੂਰਛਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਥ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ (ਸ਼ਿਆਮ) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਨਹੁਬਾਨਭੁਜੰਗਡਸਿਯੋਧਨਧਾਮਸਬੈਮਨਤੇਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ॥੧੮੪੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਬਾਣ ਰੂਪ ਸੱਪ ਦੇ ਡੰਗਣ ਨਾਲ (ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ) ਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੮੪੯॥
He became unconscious and fell in his chariot as if the snake-like arrow had stung him and he had fallen down forgetting his wealth and home.1849.
ਬਹੁਰੋਚਿਤਚੇਤਭਯੋਬਲਦੇਵਚਿਤੇਅਰਿਕੇਅਤਿਕੋਪਬਢਾਯੋ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਜਦ ਫਿਰ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਸਚੇਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਲਿਆ।
When Balram regained consciousness, he became extremely enraged
ਭਾਰੀਗਦਾਗਹਿਕੈਕਰਿਮੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੇਬਧਕਾਰਨਤਾਰਨਆਯੋ॥
ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਗਦਾ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਆਇਆ।
He caught hold of his huge mace and got ready again in the battlefield in order to kill the enemy
ਪਾਉਪਿਆਦੇਹੁਇਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਤੇਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਇਤਭਾਤਿਸਿਧਾਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਰਥ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਪੈਦਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ।
ਅਉਰਕਿਸੀਭਟਜਾਨਿਯੋਨਹੀਕਬਿਦਉਰਪਰਿਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਨੇਲਖਿਪਾਯੋ॥੧੮੫੦॥
ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਵਲ ਦੌੜ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੫੦॥
Leaving his chariot, he ran away even on foot and none could see him except the king.1850.
ਆਵਤਦੇਖਿਹਲਾਯੁਧਕੋਸੁਭਯੋਤਬਹੀਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੋਪਮਈਹੈ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਤਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜੁਧਹੀਕਉਸਮੁਹਾਇਭਯੋਨਿਜਪਾਨਿਕਮਾਨਸੁਤਾਨਿਲਈਹੈ॥
ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਤਾਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
Seeing Balram coming, the king got enraged and pulling his bow with his hand, he got ready for war
ਲ੍ਯਾਇਓਹੁਤੋਚਪਲਾਸੀਗਦਾਸਰਏਕਹੀਸਿਉਸੋਊਕਾਟਦਈਹੈ॥
(ਬਲਰਾਮ ਜੋ) ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਗਦਾ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਤ੍ਰੁਕੋਮਾਰਨਕੀਬਲਿਭਦ੍ਰਹਿਮਾਨਹੁਆਸਦੁਟੂਕਭਈਹੈ॥੧੮੫੧॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਦੋ ਟੋਟੇ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੮੫੧॥
He intercepted the mace coming like lightning and in this way, the hope of Balram for killing the enemy was shattered.1851.
ਕਾਟਗਦਾਜਬਐਸੇਦਈਤਬਹੀਬਲਿਢਾਲਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਸੰਭਾਰੀ॥
ਜਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਗਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋੜ ਸੁਟਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਢਾਲ ਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ।
When the king intercepted the mace, then Balram took up his sword and shield
ਧਾਇਚਲਿਯੋਅਰਿਮਾਰਨਿਕਾਰਨਿਸੰਕਕਛੂਚਿਤਮੈਨਬਿਚਾਰੀ॥
ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਭਜ ਚਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ।
He marched forward to kill the enemy fearlessly
ਭੂਪਨਿਹਾਰਕੈਆਵਤਕੋਗਰਜਿਯੋਬਰਖਾਕਰਿਬਾਨਨਿਭਾਰੀ॥
(ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ) ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਰਾਜਾ ਬਦਲ ਵਾਂਗ) ਗਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
The king seeing him coming showered his arrows and thundered
ਢਾਲਦਈਸਤਧਾਕਰਿਕੈਕਰਕੀਕਰਵਾਰਿਤ੍ਰਿਧਾਕਰਡਾਰੀ॥੧੮੫੨॥
(ਬਲਰਾਮ ਦੀ) ਢਾਲ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ॥੧੮੫੨॥
He cut the shield of Balram into one hundred parts and the sword into three parts.1852.
ਢਾਲਕਟੀਤਰਵਾਰਿਗਈਕਟਿਐਸੇਹਲਾਯੁਧਸ੍ਯਾਮਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਢਾਲ ਕਟ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਕਟ ਗਈ, (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਅਜਿਹੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ
ਮਾਰਤਹੈਬਲਿਕੋਅਬਹੀਨ੍ਰਿਪਯੌਅਪੁਨੇਮਨਮਾਝਿਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
Krishna saw Balram with his broken shield and sword and on this side, the king Jarasandh thought of killing him at the same instant
ਚਕ੍ਰਸੰਭਾਰਿਮੁਰਾਰਿਤਬੈਕਰਿਜੁਧਕੇਹੇਤਚਲਿਯੋਬਲਧਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਚੱਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਲ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ।
Then Krishna moved forward for fighting, holding his discus
ਰੇਨ੍ਰਿਪਤੂਭਿਰਮੋਸੰਗਆਇਕੈਰਾਮਭਨੈਇਮਸ੍ਯਾਮਪੁਕਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੮੫੩॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਰਾਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜੇ! ਤੂੰ ਆ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ॥੧੮੫੩॥
According to the poet Ram, he began to challenge the king for fighting.1853.
ਯੌਬਤੀਯਾਰਨਮੈਸੁਨਿਭੂਪਤਿਜੂਝਮਚਾਵਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਸਿਉਆਯੋ॥
ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
Hearing the challenge of Krishna, the king marched forward for waging war
ਰੋਸਿਬਢਾਇਘਨੋਚਿਤਮੈਕਰਕੇਬਰਸੋਧਨੁਤਾਨਿਚਢਾਯੋ॥
ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਲਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆ।
He got enraged and fitted his arrow in his bow
ਦੀਰਘਕਉਚਸਜੇਤਨਮੋਕਬਿਕੇਮਨਮੈਜਸੁਇਉਉਪਜਾਯੋ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਕਵਚ ਸਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਸ਼ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ
ਮਾਨਹੁਜੁਧਸਮੇਰਿਸਕੈਰਘੁਨਾਥਕੇਊਪਰਿਰਾਵਨਆਯੋ॥੧੮੫੪॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਉਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੮੫੪॥
Because of the thick armour on his body, the king Jarasandh appeared like Ravana falling on Ram, being highly enraged in the war.1854.
ਆਵਤਭਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਸਾਮੁਹੇਤਉਧਨੁਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਜਦੋਂ) ਰਾਜਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ।
ਧਾਵਤਭਯੋਹਿਤਤੇਹਰਿਸਾਮੁਹੇਤ੍ਰਾਸਕਛੂਚਿਤਮੈਨਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਇਧਰੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਭਜ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ।
Seeing the king coming in front of him, Krishna held up his bow and came before the king fearlessly
ਕਾਨਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਲਉਤਾਨਿਕਮਾਨਸੁਬਾਨਲੈਸਤ੍ਰਕੇਛਤ੍ਰਪੈਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਕੰਨ ਤਕ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਚ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਛੱਤਰ ਉਤੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ।
Pulling the bow upto his ear, he shot his arrow on the canopy of the enemy and in an instant, the canopy fell down and broke into bits
ਖੰਡਹੁਇਖੰਡਗਿਰਿਯੋਛਿਤਮੈਮਨੋਚੰਦਕੋਰਾਹੁਨੇਮਾਰਿਬਿਦਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੮੫੫॥
ਛੱਤਰ ਟੋਟੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ। (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਰਾਹੂ ਨੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੮੫੫॥
It seemed that Rahu had broken the moon into fragments.1855.
ਛਤ੍ਰਕਟਿਓਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੋਜਬਹੀਤਬਹੀਮਨਭੂਪਤਿਕੋਪਭਯੋਹੈ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਛੱਤਰ ਕਟ ਗਿਆ (ਉਦੋਂ) ਰਾਜਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
With the chopping down of the canopy, the king got highly infuriated
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੀਓਰਕੁਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਚਿਤੈਕਰਿਉਗ੍ਰਸਰਾਸਨਹਾਥਿਲਯੋਹੈ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਲ ਭੈੜੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਕਠੋਰ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆ।
And he, looking towards Krishna with evil glance, took his dreadful bow in his hand
ਜੋਰਸੋਖੈਚਨਲਾਗਿਯੋਤਹਾਨਹਿਐਚਸਕੇਕਰਕੰਪਭਯੋਹੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਖਿਚਣ ਲਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਖਿਚ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਕੰਬਣ ਲਗ ਗਏ।
He began to pull the bow with force, but his hand trembled and the bow could not be pulled
ਲੈਧਨੁਬਾਨਮੁਰਾਰਿਤਬੈਤਿਹਚਾਪਚਟਾਕਦੈਕਾਟਿਦਯੋਹੈ॥੧੮੫੬॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰਤ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੮੫੬॥
At the same time, Krishna with his bow and arrows intercepted with jerk the bow of Jarasandh.1856.
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਜਸਰਾਸਨਕਾਟਿਦਯੋਤਬਭੂਪਤਿਕੋਪੁਕੀਯੋਮਨਮੈ॥
(ਜਦ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਦਾ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਕਟ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਰਵਾਰਿਸੰਭਾਰਿਮਹਾਬਲਧਾਰਿਹਕਾਰਿਪਰਿਯੋਰਿਪੁਕੇਗਨਮੈ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਲਲਕਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦਲ ਉਤੇ ਜਾ ਪਿਆ।

ਮਨੋਜ੍ਵਾਲਦਵਾਨਲਕੀਲਪਟੈਚਟਕੈਪਟਕੈਤ੍ਰਿਨਜਿਉਬਨਮੈ॥੧੮੫੭॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਬਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਨੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਟਾਂ (ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੀਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਜਲਦੀ ਪਟਕਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਟ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੮੫੭॥

ਇਕਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਿਰ ਧੜ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਾਇਰ ਚੀਖ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Seeing which the cowards are getting frightened
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿਚਲੇਇਕਆਹਵਕੌਇਕਡੋਲਤਜੁਧਹਿਕੇਰੰਗਿਰਾਤੇ॥
ਕਈ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਚਲੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
