ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਤਿਅੰਤ ਚੁਸਤ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਚਾਲ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤੀਬਰ ਗਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਦੌੜ ਗਏ) ॥੧੮੬੪॥
He was about to fall from his seat in the chariot, when the brisk horses exhibited their speed and fled.1864.

ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਹਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੜਦੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ॥੧੮੬੫॥
Catching hold of the arm of the charioteer and controlling the chariot, Krishna himself drove it while fighting.1865.

ਸਾਰਥੀਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਪੈਨਲਖਿਯੋਬਲਿਦੇਵਕਹਿਓਰਿਸਿਤਾਹਿਸੁਨੈਕੈ॥
(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਰਥਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਨਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਰਾਜਾ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਜਿਉਦਲਤੋਰਜਿਤਿਯੋਸਬਹੀਤੈਸੋਤੋਜਿਤਹੈਜਸਡੰਕਬਜੈਕੈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੈਨਾ-ਦਲ ਜਿਤ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਿਤ ਕੇ ਯਸ਼ ਦਾ ਡੰਕਾ ਵਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ।
When Balram did not see the charioteer on the chariot of Krishna, he said in anger, “O king! the way in which I have conquered your army, similarly after conquering you, I shall cause the drum of victory to be beaten
ਮੂਢਭਿਰੇਪਤਿਚਉਦਹਲੋਕਕੇਸੰਗਸੁਆਪਕਉਭੂਪਕਹੈਕੈ॥
ਮੂਰਖ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਕੀਟਪਤੰਗਸੁਬਾਜਨਸੰਗਿਉਡਿਯੋਕਛੁਚਾਹਤਪੰਖਲਗੈਕੈ॥੧੮੬੬॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਕੋਈ) ਕੀੜਾ ਜਾਂ ਪਤੰਗਾ ਖੰਭ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਡਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੮੬੬॥
“O fool! calling yourself a king, you are fighting with the Lord of all the fourteen worlds and appear exactly like the tiny worms and insects, getting wings are trying to compete the falcon flying in the sky.1866.
ਛਾਡਤਹੈਅਜਹੁੰਤੁਹਿਕਉਪਤਿਚਉਦਹਲੋਕਨਕੇਸੰਗਨਲਰੁ॥
(ਹੇ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ!) ਚੌਦਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ (ਜੇ) ਤੂੰ (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਂ।
“I am leaving you today, do not fight with the Lord of all the fourteen worlds
ਗ੍ਯਾਨਕੀਬਾਤਧਰੋਮਨਮੈਸੁਅਗ੍ਯਾਨਕੀਚਿਤਤੇਬਾਤਬਿਦਾਕਰੁ॥
ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਢ ਦੇ।
Accept the wise saying and forsake your ignorance
ਰਛਕਹੈਸਭਕੋਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਕਹੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਇਹੈਜੀਅਮੈਧਰੁ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਰਖਿਅਕ ਹਨ, ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਲੈ।
“Believe it that Krishna is the Protector of all
ਤ੍ਯਾਗਕੈਆਹਵਸਸਤ੍ਰਸਬੈਸੁਅਬੈਘਨਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਪਾਇਨਪੈਪਰੁ॥੧੮੬੭॥
ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਜਾ ॥੧੮੬੭॥
Therefore you should abandon your weapons and fall at his feet instantly.”1867.

ਜਦੋਂ ਬੁਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ
ਕ੍ਰੋਧਡੀਠਰਾਜਾਤਨਚਹਿਯੋ॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਭਰੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
ਕਹਿਯੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਸਬਕੋਸੰਘਰਹੋਂ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ (ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ) ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਛਤ੍ਰੀਹੋਇਗ੍ਵਾਰਤੇਟਰਹੋਂ॥੧੮੬੮॥
(ਕੀ) ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਲ (ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨੋ) ਟਲ ਜਾਵਾਂ ॥੧੮੬੮॥
When Balram said these words, the king got infuriated, he said, “I shall kill all and being a Kshatriya, I shall not fear the milkmen.”1868.

ਭਾਖਬੋਇਉਨ੍ਰਿਪਕੋਸੁਨਕੈਜਦੁਬੀਰਸਬੈਅਤਿਕੋਪਭਰੇਹੈ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਾਦਵ ਯੋਧੇ ਅਤਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਧਾਇਪਰੇਤਜਿਸੰਕਨਿਸੰਕਚਿਤੈਅਰਿਕਉਚਿਤੁਮੈਨਡਰੇਹੈ॥
ਸੰਸਾ ਛਡ ਕੇ (ਸਾਰੇ) ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਵਲ ਤਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਡਰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
Hearing these words of the king, Krishna was filled with rage and he unhesitatingly fell upon him
ਭੂਪਅਯੋਧਨਮੈਧਨੁਲੈਤਿਹਸੀਸਕਟੇਗਿਰਭੂਮਿਪਰੇਹੈ॥
ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਨੇ ਵੀ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
ਮਾਨਹੁਪਉਨਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਬਹੈਛੁਟਿਬੇਲਨਤੇਗਿਰਿਫੂਲਝਰੇਹੈ॥੧੮੬੯॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹਵਾ ਦੇ ਚਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਫੁਲ ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੮੬੯॥
The king taking his bow in his hand, chopped the soldiers and caused them to fall down on the earth in such a way as if with the blowing of the violent wind, the fruit of the Bel tree had fallen down.1869.
ਸੈਨਸੰਘਾਰਤਭੂਪਫਿਰੈਭਟਆਨਿਕਉਆਖਤਰੈਨਹੀਆਨੇ॥
ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ।
The king, destroying the army, was not considering any was significant
ਬਾਜਘਨੇਗਜਰਾਜਨਕੇਸਿਰਪਾਇਨਲਉਸੰਗਿਸ੍ਰਉਨਕੇਸਾਨੇ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਘੋੜੇ, ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਸਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤਕ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਗੜੁਚੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ
The horses of the king are saturated with blood from head to feet
ਅਉਰਰਥੀਨਕਰੇਬਿਰਥੀਬਹੁਭਾਤਿਹਨੇਜੇਊਬਾਧਤਬਾਨੇ॥
ਅਤੇ ਰਥਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਾਨੇ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
He has deprived many chariot-riders of their chariots
ਸੂਰਨਕੇਪ੍ਰਤਿਅੰਗਗਿਰੇਮਾਨੋਬੀਜਬੁਯੋਛਿਤਮਾਹਿਕ੍ਰਿਸਾਨੇ॥੧੮੭੦॥
ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ-ਪ੍ਰਤਿ-ਅੰਗ (ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ) ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ। (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਨੇ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੮੭੦॥
The limbs of the warriors are lying scattered on the earth like the seed scattered by the farmer.1870.
ਇਹਭਾਤਿਬਿਰੁਧਨਿਹਾਰਭਯੋਮੁਸਲੀਧਰਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਤੇਜਤਏਹੈ॥
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ (ਸਥਿਤੀ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਤੱਤੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਭਾਖਿਦੋਊਨਿਜਸੂਤਨਕੋਰਿਪੁਸਾਮੁਹੇਜੁਧਕੇਕਾਜਗਏਹੈ॥
(ਫਿਰ) ਦੋਵੇਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਥਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Seeing one another in this way, Krishna and Balram both became extremely filled with the fire of anger and reached before the enemy for fighting, asking their charioteers to proceed
ਆਯੁਧਲੈਸੁਹਠੀਕਵਚੀਰਿਸਕੈਸੰਗਿਪਾਵਕਬੇਖਭਏਹੈ॥
ਹਠੀਲੇ ਕਵਚਧਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
Holding their weapons and dressed in their armours, and also in great fury these heroes looked like the fire
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਇਮਧਾਵਤਭੇਮਾਨਹੁਕੇਹਰਿਦੁਇਮ੍ਰਿਗਹੇਰਿਧਏਹੈ॥੧੮੭੧॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਹ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਮਾਨੋ ਹਿਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਦੋ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ ॥੧੮੭੧॥
And seeing both these heroes, it appeared that two lions were causing the deer to flee in the forest.1871.
ਧਨੁਸਾਇਕਲੈਰਿਸਿਭੂਪਤਿਕੇਤਨਘਾਇਕਰੇਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਜਤਬੈ॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ ਘਾਉ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
At the same time, Krishna took his bow and arrows in his hands, struck a blow to the king
ਪੁਨਿਚਾਰੋਈਬਾਨਨਸੋਹਯਚਾਰੋਈਰਾਮਭਨੈਹਨਿਦੀਨੇਸਬੈ॥
ਫਿਰ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, (ਕਵੀ) ਰਾਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Then with four arrows, he killed the four horses of the king
ਤਿਲਕੋਟਿਕਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਕਾਟਿਕੀਯੋਧਨੁਕਾਟਿਦੀਯੋਕਰਿਕੋਪਜਬੈ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ) ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਤਿਲ ਤਿਲ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਫਿਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
In great rage, he chopped the bow of the king and also shattered his chariot
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਪਿਆਦੋਗਦਾਗਹਿਸਉਹੇਗਯੋਅਤਿਜੁਧੁਭਯੋਕਹਿਹੌਸੁਅਬੈ॥੧੮੭੨॥
ਰਾਜੇ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਨੇ ਪੈਦਲ ਹੀ ਗਦਾ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ) ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਹੁਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧੮੭੨॥
Thereafter the king is advancing further with his mace in such a way, which I now describe.1872.
ਪਾਇਨਧਾਇਕੈਭੂਪਬਲੀਸੁਗਦਾਕਹੁਘਾਇਹਲੀਪ੍ਰਤਝਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਬਲਵਾਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਪੈਦਲ ਹੀ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਗਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਉਤੇ ਝਾੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਘਾਇਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਕੋਪਹੁਤੋਸੁਜਿਤੋਤਿਹਮੈਸਬਸੂਰਨਕੋਸੁਪ੍ਰਤਛਦਿਖਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ (ਸਿਮਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਵਿਖਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
The king, walking on foot, struck a blow on Balram with his mace and his whole fury became apparent to the warriors
ਕੂਦਿਹਲੀਭੁਇੰਠਾਢੋਭਯੋਜਸੁਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ (ਰਥ ਤੋਂ) ਕੁਦ ਕੇ ਭੂਮੀ ਉਤੇ ਖੜੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਛਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਚਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਚਾਰੋਈਅਸ੍ਵਨਸੂਤਸਮੇਤਸੁਕੈਸਬਹੀਰਥਚੂਰਨਡਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੮੭੩॥
ਚੌਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਸਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੂਰ ਚੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੭੩॥
Balram jumped and came down to stand on the earth and the king pulversied his chariot alongwith all four horses.1873.
ਇਤਭੂਪਗਦਾਗਹਿਆਵਤਭਯੋਉਤਲੈਕੇਗਦਾਮੁਸਲੀਧਰਧਾਯੋ॥
ਇਧਰੋਂ ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਗਦਾ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਧਰੋਂ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਗਦਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਧਸਿਆ ਹੈ।
On this side, the king advanced with his mace and on that side Balram also advanced with his mace
ਆਇਅਯੋਧਨਬੀਚਦੁਹੂੰਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਰਨਦੁੰਦਮਚਾਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਦੁਅੰਦ ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
Both of them waged a terrible war in the battlefield,
ਜੁਧਕੀਯੋਬਹੁਤੇਚਿਰਲਉਨਹਿਆਪਿਗਿਰਿਓਉਤਕਉਨਗਿਰਾਯੋ॥
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਬਹੁਤ ਚਿਰ ਤਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ) ਨਾ ਆਪ ਡਿਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਾ ਸਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
And inspite of the continuance of the war for a long time, none of them could defeat the other
ਐਸੇਰਿਝਾਵਤਭਯੋਸੁਰਲੋਗਨਧੀਰਨਬੀਰਨਕੋਰਿਝਵਾਯੋ॥੧੮੭੪॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੮੭੪॥
In this way, seeing their fight, the wise warriors became pleased in their mind.1874.
ਹਾਰਕੈਬੈਠਰਹੈਦੋਊਬੀਰਸੰਭਾਰਿਉਠੈਪੁਨਿਜੁਧੁਮਚਾਵੈ॥
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਯੋਧੇ ਥਕ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਸੰਭਲ ਕੇ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਉਠੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਯੁੱਧ ਮਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Both the warriors used to sit, when tired and then rose again for fighting
ਰੰਚਨਸੰਕਕਰੈਚਿਤਮੈਰਿਸਕੈਦੋਊਮਾਰਹੀਮਾਰਉਘਾਵੈ॥
ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਸੰਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਬਲਕਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਾਰੋ-ਮਾਰੋ ਪੁਕਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Both of them were fighting fearlessly and angrily with the shouts of “kill, kill”
ਜੈਸੇਗਦਾਹਵਕੀਬਿਧਿਹੈਦੋਊਤੈਸੇਲਰੈਅਰੁਘਾਵਚਲਾਵੈ॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਦਾ-ਯੁੱਧ ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਹੈ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਉਤੇ) ਵਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨੈਕੁਟਰੈਨਅਰੈਹਠਬਾਧਿਗਦਾਕੋਗਦਾਸੰਗਿਵਾਰਬਚਾਵੈ॥੧੮੭੫॥
(ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਜ਼ਰਾ ਵੀ ਹਟਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਹਠ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅੜੇ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਦਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਰ ਗਦਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬਚਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੮੭੫॥
Both were fighting according to the manner of mace-warfare and without slightly wavering from their places, they were saving themselves from the blows of the mace with their own mace.1875.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਅਤਿਆਹਵਮੈਮੁਸਲੀਅਰੁਭੂਪਤਿਕੋਪਭਰੇਹੈ॥
(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
