ਕੈਇਹਕੋਸਭਜਾਇਮਿਲੈਪੁਰਿਛਾਡਿਨਹੀਅਨਤੈਕਉਸਿਧਈਯੈ॥
ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪਈਏ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ (ਮਥੁਰਾ) ਨਗਰੀ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਈਏ।
Either we should go to receive him or leaving the city, run away to some other place
ਬਾਤਕੁਪੇਚਬਨੀਸਭਹੀਇਨਬਾਤਨਤੇਧੌਕਹਾਅਬਕਈਯੈ॥੧੯੨੮॥
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੁਸੂਤੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਹੁਣ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ ॥੧੯੨੮॥
This is a very serious matter, nothing will result from mere talk now.”1928.

ਕੀਨੋਇਹੈਬਿਚਾਰਪੁਰਿਤਜਿਕੈਅਨਤੈਬਸਹਿ॥
ਸਭ ਨੇ ਇਹੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਤਰਡਾਰੈਮਾਰਿਜਰਾਸੰਧਿਭੂਪਤਿਪ੍ਰਬਲ॥੧੯੨੯॥
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ (ਉਹ) ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟੇਗਾ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਰਾਜਾ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੈ ॥੧੯੨੯॥
Ultimately it was decided to leave the city and abide at some other place, otherwise the powerful king Jarasandh would kill all.1929.
ਕੀਜੋਸੋਊਬਿਚਾਰਜੋਭਾਵੈਸਭਜਨਨਮਨਿ॥
ਉਹੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗੇ।
Only that decision should be taken, which is liked by all
ਅਪੁਨੇਚਿਤਹਬਿਚਾਰਿਬਾਤਨਕੀਜੈਠਾਨਿਹਠ॥੧੯੩੦॥
ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ (ਠੀਕ ਗੱਲ) ਵਿਚਾਰੋ, ਹਠ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ॥੧੯੩੦॥
Merely the persistence of the mind should not be accepted.1930.

ਤਜਿਕੈਮਥੁਰਾਸੁਨਿਕੈਇਹਸਤ੍ਰਸੁਲੈਕੇਕੁਟੰਬਨਜਾਦੋਪਰਾਏ॥
ਇਸ ਵੈਰੀ ਦਾ (ਆਉਣਾ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਟਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਾਦਵ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Hearing about the coming of the enemy, the Yadavas started moving out of Matura with their families
ਏਕਬਡੋਗਿਰਿਥੋਤਿਹਭੀਤਰਨੈਕੁਟਿਕੇਚਿਤਮੈਸੁਖੁਪਾਏ॥
ਉਥੇ ਇਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਪਹਾੜ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਟਿਕੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
They pleased in hiding themselves on a big mountain
ਘੇਰਤਭਯੋਨਗਸੰਧਿਜਰਾਤਿਹਕੀਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੁਨਾਏ॥
ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪਹਾੜ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ)
ਪਾਤਨਕੇਜਨਭਛਨਕਉਭਟਵਾਨਹਿਬਾਦਰਹੀਮਿਲਿਆਏ॥੧੯੩੧॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਪੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਬਾਂਦਰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ। (ਅਰਥਾਂਤਰ ਪਤਣ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲ ਘਿਰ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ) ॥੧੯੩੧॥
The king Jarasandh besieged the mountain and it appeared that in order to destroy the people waiting on the bank to cross the river, the warriors of clouds were rushing towards them from above.1931.

ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿਤਬਮੰਤ੍ਰੀਅਨਸੰਗਿਯੌਕਹਿਯੋਸੁਨਾਇ॥
ਤਦ ਜਰਾਸੰਧ ਨੇ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਨਗਭਾਰੀਇਹਸੈਨਤੇਨੈਕੁਨਸੋਧਿਯੋਜਾਇ॥੧੯੩੨॥
ਪਹਾੜ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੈਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧੯੩੨॥
Then Jarasandh said to his ministers, “This is a very big mountain and the army will not be able to ascend it.1932.

ਦੀਜੈਆਗਿਲਗਾਇਦਸੋਦਿਸਾਤੇਘੇਰਿਗਿਰਿ॥
ਪਹਾੜ ਨੂੰ ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ ਅੱਗ ਲਾ ਦਿਓ।
“Besiege the mountain from all the ten directions and set it on fire
ਆਪਨਹੀਜਰਿਜਾਇਸ੍ਰੀਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੁਟੰਬਸਨਿ॥੧੯੩੩॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੁਟੰਬੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ॥੧੯੩੩॥
And with this fire all the families of the Yadavas will be burnt.”1933.

ਘੇਰਿਦਸੋਦਿਸਤੇਗਿਰਿਕਉਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਦਈਆਗਿਲਗਾਈ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਹਾੜ ਨੂੰ ਦਸਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ ਅੱਗ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
The poet Shyam says that surrounding the mountain from all the ten direction, it was set on fire
ਤੈਸੇਹੀਪਉਨਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਬਹਿਯੋਤਿਹਪਉਨਸੋਆਗਿਘਨੀਹਹਰਾਈ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹਵਾ ਚਲ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਹਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਮਚ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
With the blowing of the powerful wind, the fire burst into flames
ਜੀਵਬਡੋਤ੍ਰਿਨਰੂਖਘਨੇਛਿਨਬੀਚਦਏਫੁਨਿਤਾਹਿਜਰਾਈ॥
ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ, ਜੀਵ ਅਤੇ ਘਾਹ ਛਿਣ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫੂਕ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਤਉਨਘਰੀਤਿਨਲੋਗਨਪੈਫੁਨਿਹੋਤਭਈਅਤਿਹੀਦੁਖਦਾਈ॥੧੯੩੪॥
ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਘੜੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੧੯੩੪॥
When the straws, trees, beings etc. were all destroyed in an instant, those moments were very agonising for the yadavas.1934.
