ਤਦ ਸਾਰੇ ਯੋਧੇ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਸੰਸਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ।
ਮਿਲਿਸਭਹੀਜਦੁਪਤਿਪਹਿਆਏ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ
ਦੀਨਭਾਤਿਹੁਇਅਤਿਘਿਘਿਆਏ॥੧੯੩੫॥
ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਆਜਿਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਗਿੜਗਿੜਾਉਣ ਲਗੇ ॥੧੯੩੫॥
When the beings and straws began burning, then all the Yadava warriors in great suspense came to Krishna and began to relate their sufferings while crying.1935.

“O Lord! protect us and save all these beings
ਆਪਹਿਕੋਊਉਪਾਵਬਤਈਯੈ॥
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਉਪਾ ਦਸੋ।

ਜਾਂ ਭਜ ਜਾਈਏ ਜਾਂ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਈਏ ॥੧੯੩੬॥

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਸਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਨਸਕਿਯੋਸਹਭਾਰਸੁਤਾਪਗਕੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਭਨੈਜਲਲਉਧਸਕਿਯੋ॥
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ (ਪਰਬਤ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਹਾਰ ਸਕਿਆ, (ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੇਠਾਂ) ਪਾਣੀ ਤਕ ਧਸ ਗਿਆ।
Hearing their talk, the Lord pressed the mountain with his feet, and the mountain could not endure his weight and sank below like water
ਉਸਕਿਯੋਗਿਰਿਊਰਧਕੋਧਸਿਕੈਕੋਊਪਾਵਕਜੀਵਜਰਾਨਸਕਿਯੋ॥
(ਜਲ ਵਿਚ) ਧਸ ਕੇ ਪਰਬਤ (ਫਿਰ) ਉਛਲ ਕੇ ਉਪਰ (ਨੂੰ ਆ ਗਿਆ)। (ਫਲਸਰੂਪ) ਅੱਗ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਨਾ ਸਕੀ।
After sinking below, the mountain rose higher and in this way, the fire could not burn anyone
ਜਦੁਬੀਰਹਲੀਤਿਹਸੈਨਮੈਕੂਦਿਪਰੇਨਹਿਯਾਤਿਨਕੌਕਸਿਕਿਯੋ॥੧੯੩੭॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਉਸ (ਵੈਰੀ) ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਦ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ (ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ) ਨਾ ਕੰਬਿਆ ॥੧੯੩੭॥
At the same time, Krishna and Balram jumped silently into the enemy’s army.1937.
ਏਕਹਿਹਾਥਿਗਦਾਗਹਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਭੂਪਤਿਕੇਬਹੁਤੇਭਟਮਾਰੇ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਗਦਾ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
Holding his mace in his hand, Krishna killed many warriors of the king
ਅਉਰਘਨੇਅਸਵਾਰਹਨੇਬਿਨੁਪ੍ਰਾਨਘਨੇਗਜਿਕੈਭੁਇਪਾਰੇ॥
ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ (ਘੋੜ) ਸਵਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
He killed many horsemen and knocked them on the ground
ਪਾਇਨਪੰਤਹਨੇਅਗਨੇਰਥਤੋਰਿਰਥੀਬਿਰਥੀਕਰਿਡਾਰੇ॥
ਪੈਦਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਕਤੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਰਥਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾ ਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
He destroyed the ranks of soldiers on foot and deprived the chariot-riders of their chariots
ਜੀਤਭਈਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੀਯੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਸਭਯੋਅਰਿਹਾਰੇ॥੧੯੩੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਜਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਹਾਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੧੯੩੮॥
In this way, killing all the warriors, Krishna became victorious and the enemy was defeated.1938.
ਜੋਭਟਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੋਜੂਝਕੋਆਵਤਜੂਝਤਹੈਸੁਲਗੇਭਟਭੀਰਨ॥
ਜੋ ਯੋਧਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਅਵੱਸ਼) ਜੂਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਾਇਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦਾ।
The warriors who came to fight with Krishna, they fought with extreme zest
ਸ੍ਰੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਕੇਤੇਜਕੇਅਗ੍ਰਕਹੈਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਧਰੈਕੋਊਧੀਰਨ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ, ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ (ਸੂਰਮਾ) ਧੀਰਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
The poet Shyam says that before the strength of Krishna. No warrior can hold patience.
ਭੂਪਤਿਦੇਖਦਸਾਤਿਨਕੀਸੁਕਹਿਓਇਹਭਾਤਿਭਯੋਅਤਿਹੀਰਨ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ (ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਨ) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਾਰੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਨੋਤੰਬੋਲੀਹੀਕੀਸਮਹ੍ਵੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਫੇਰਤਪਾਨਨਕੀਜਿਮਬੀਰਨਿ॥੧੯੩੯॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਪਨਵਾੜੀ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੀੜੇ ਵੰਡਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੯੩੯॥
Seeing the plight of the warriors in the war-arena, the king Uggarsain said, “The king Jarasandh is like betel, who is destroying his army like the chewing of the betel.1939.
ਇਤਕੋਪਗਦਾਗਹਿਕੈਮੁਸਲੀਧਰਸਤ੍ਰਨਸੈਨਭਲੇਝਕਝੋਰਿਯੋ॥
ਇਧਰੋਂ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਗਦਾ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਧੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋਭਟਆਇਭਿਰੇਸਮੁਹੇਤਿਹਏਕਚਪੇਟਹਿਸੋਸਿਰੁਤੋਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਭਿੜੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਹੀ ਚਪੇੜ (ਜਾਂ ਸਟ) ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰ ਪਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
On this side, Balram taking his mace in his hand in rage, shook violently the enemy’s army and the warrior who confronted him, he broke his head even with one slep
ਅਉਰਜਿਤੀਚਤੁਰੰਗਚਮੂੰਤਿਨਕੋਮੁਖਐਸੀਹੀਭਾਤਿਸੋਮੋਰਿਯੋ॥
ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਚਤੁਰੰਗਨੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਰੋੜ ਸੁਟੇ ਹਨ।
ਜੀਤਲਏਸਭਹੀਅਰਿਵਾਤਿਨਤੇਅਜਿਤਿਓਭਟਏਕਨਛੋਰਿਯੋ॥੧੯੪੦॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਵੈਰੀ ਜਿਤ ਲਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਜਿਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਡਿਆ ॥੧੯੪੦॥
He defeated all the remaining enemy’s army and became completely victorious.1940.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹਹਲੀਮਿਲਿਭ੍ਰਾਤਦੁਹੂੰਜਬਸੈਨਸਬੈਤਿਹਭੂਪਕੋਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ (ਜਰਾਸੰਧ) ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ,
ਸੋਕੋਊਜੀਤਬਚਿਯੋਤਿਹਤੇਜਿਨਿਦਾਤਨਘਾਸਗਹਿਓਬਲੁਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
(ਤਦ) ਉਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਬਚਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਹਾਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਾਹ ਪਕੜ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
When both the brothers Krishna and Balram together killed the whole army of the enemy, then only that person could save himself, who putting the grass-straws in his mouth, came under their refuge
ਐਸੀਦਸਾਜਬਭੀਦਲਕੀਤਬਭੂਪਤਿਆਪਨੇਨੈਨਿਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਦਸ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਲਈ।
ਜੀਤਅਉਜੀਵਕੀਆਸਤਜੀਰਨਠਾਨਤਭਯੋਪੁਰਖਤਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ॥੧੯੪੧॥
(ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਜਿਤਣ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਠ ਪੂਰਵਕ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ॥੧੯੪੧॥
When Jarasandh saw this plight with his own eyes, then abandoning the hope of victory and life, he also persistently managed to upkeep his bravery in war.1941.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗਦਾ ਚਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਸੂਤਹਿਦਯੋਗਿਰਾਇਅਸ੍ਵਚਾਰਿਸੰਗਹੀਹਨੇ॥੧੯੪੨॥
(ਉਸ ਨਾਲ) ਰਥਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਚਾਰੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੯੪੨॥
Seeing the king, Krishna struck his mace and killing his four horses, he caused the king to fall down.1942.

(ਕਵੀ) ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਕ ਹੀ ਸਟ ਨਾਲ (ਰਾਜਾ) ਬੇਸੁਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੯੪੩॥
When the king was only on foot, Krishna struck him with his mace again and the king could not control himself.1943.

ਗਹਿਕੈਤਿਹਕੋਇਹਭਾਤਿਕਹਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਪੁਰਖਤਇਹੀਜੜਜੁਧੁਚਹਿਯੋ॥੧੯੪੪॥
ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ! ਇਸ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ (ਦੇ ਬਲਬੂਤੇ ਤੇ) ਯੁੱਧ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੯੪੪॥
When the king rolled and fell down, then Krishna caught him and said, “O fool! did you come for fighting relying on this strength?”1944.

ਜੋਜੀਵਤਇਹਛਾਡਿਹੋਂਤਉਇਹਰਾਰਿਮਚਾਇ॥੧੯੪੫॥
ਜੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਛਡਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਫਿਰ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥੧੯੪੫॥
Balram said, “Now I shall chop off his head, because if he is permitted to go alive, he will then return to fight again.”1945.
