ਮਾਨਹੁਕ੍ਰੋਧਸਭੈਤਿਹਕੋਸੁਪ੍ਰਤਛਹੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਕੇਊਪਰਧਾਯੋ॥੧੯੯੬॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਉਤੇ ਧਾ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧੯੯੬॥
Saying this, he pulled his bow upto his ear and discharged such an arrow that it seemed that all his anger, manifesting itself in the form of an arrow had fallen on Krishna.1996.

ਉਸ ਬਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ
ਕਟਿਮਾਰਗਭੀਤਰਦਯੋਏਕਬਾਨਕੇਸਾਥ॥੧੯੯੭॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਵਿਚਾਲਿਓਂ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੧੯੯੭॥
Krishna got enraged, seeing that arrow coming and intercepted the same midway with his own arrow.1997.

ਸਰਕਾਟਿਕੈਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਕਾਟਿਦਯੋਅਰੁਸੂਤਕੋਸੀਸਦਯੋਕਟਿਕੈ॥
ਬਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਕੇ (ਫਿਰ) ਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਥਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਵੀ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
After intercepting the arrow, he shattered the chariot and chopped the head of the charioteer
ਅਰੁਚਾਰੋਹੀਅਸ੍ਵਨਸੀਸਕਟੇਬਹੁਢਾਲਨਕੇਤਬਹੀਝਟਿਕੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਵੀ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਝਟਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
And with the blow of his arrow, and with jerks, he chopped the heads of all the four horses
ਫਿਰਿਦਉਰਿਚਪੇਟਚਟਾਕਹਨਿਓਗਿਰਗਯੋਜਬਚੋਟਲਗੀਭਟਿਕੈ॥
ਫਿਰ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਚਟਾਕ ਕਰਕੇ ਚਪੇੜ ਮਾਰੀ। ਜਦ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਦੀ ਚਪੇੜ ਵਜੀ (ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ) ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ।
Then running towards him, he struck him (Shishupal), who being hurt, fell down
ਤੁਮਹੀਨਕਹੋਭਟਕਉਨਬੀਯੋਜਗਮੈਜੋਊਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਸੋਅਟਕੈ॥੧੯੯੮॥
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ (ਕਿਉਂ) ਨਹੀਂ ਦਸਦੇ ਕਿ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਯੋਧਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਲੜੇ ॥੧੯੯੮॥
Who is such a hero in the world, who can resist Krishna?1998.
ਚਿਤਮੈਜਿਨਧਿਆਨਧਰਿਯੋਹਿਤਕੈਸੋਊਸ੍ਰੀਪਤਿਲੋਕਹਿਕੋਸਟਿਕਿਯੋ॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ) ਵਿਚ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਪਗਰੋਪਜੋਊਅਟਕਿਯੋਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੋਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਕਹੈਪਲਸੋਨਟਿਕਿਯੋ॥
ਜੋ ਪੈਰ ਗਡ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
He, who meditated on the Lord, reached the abode of the Lord and whosoever, stabilising himself, fought in front of Krishna, he could not stay there even for an instant
ਅਟਕਿਯੋਜੋਊਪ੍ਰੇਮਸੋਬੇਧਕੈਲੋਕਚਲਿਯੋਤਿਹਕਉਨਕਿਨਹੀਹਟਕਿਯੋ॥
ਜੋ (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ (ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ) ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ।
Whosoever absorbed himself in his love, he, penetrating through all the worlds, realised the abode of the Lord without any obstruction
ਜਿਹਨੈਕੁਬਿਰੋਧਹੀਯੋਸਟਕਿਯੋਨਰਸੋਸਭਹੀਭੂਅਮੋਪਟਕਿਯੋ॥੧੯੯੯॥
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਪਟਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੯੯੯॥
He, who opposed him, even slightly that individual was caught and knocked down on the ground.1999.
ਫਉਜਬਿਦਾਰਘਨੀਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਬਿਮੁੰਛਤਕੈਸਿਸੁਪਾਲਗਿਰਾਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ੁਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬੇਸੁਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਡਿਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
After killing innumerable army, Krishna caused Shishupal to fall down unconscious
ਅਉਰਜਿਤੋਦਲੁਠਾਢੋਹੁਤੋਸੋਊਦੇਖਿਦਸਾਕਰਿਤ੍ਰਾਸਪਰਾਯੋ॥
ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਖੜੋਤੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ (ਉਥੋਂ ਦੀ) ਦਸ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਡਰਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਭਜ ਗਈ।
The army that was standing there, seeing this situation fled away in fear
ਫੇਰਿਰਹੇਤਿਨਕੋਬਹੁਬਾਰਿਕੋਊਫਿਰਿਜੁਧਕੇਕਾਜਨਆਯੋ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਸੈਨਾ-ਨਾਇਕ) ਬਹੁਤ ਵਾਰ ਮੋੜ ਹਟੇ, (ਪਰ) ਫਿਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ।
Though efforts were made to restrain them, but none of them returned for fighting
ਤਉਰੁਕਮੀਦਲਲੈਬਹੁਤੋਸੰਗਿਆਪਨੇਆਪਹੀਜੁਧਕੋਧਾਯੋ॥੨੦੦੦॥
ਤਦ (ਰੁਕਮਨੀ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ) ਰੁਕਮੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਹੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ॥੨੦੦੦॥
Then Rukmi came for fighting alongwith a great deal of his army.2000.
ਬੀਰਬਡੇਇਹਕੀਦਿਸਕੇਰਿਸਸੋਜਦੁਬੀਰਕਉਮਾਰਨਧਾਏ॥
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਦੌੜੇ।
ਜਾਤਕਹਾਫਿਰਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਲਰੋਹਮਸੋਸਭਹੀਇਹਭਾਤਿਬੁਲਾਏ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗੇ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਜਾਂਦੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਹੋ, ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰੋ।
Form his side many warriors rushed forward, in great fury, went to kill Krishna and said, “O Krishna, where are you going? Fight with us,”
ਤੇਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਹਨੇਸਭਹੀਕਹਿਕੈਉਪਮਾਕਬਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਸੁਨਾਏ॥
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਾਨਹੁਹੇਰਿਪਤੰਗਦੀਆਕਹੁਟੂਟਿਪਰੇਫਿਰਿਜੀਤਨਆਏ॥੨੦੦੧॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਪਤੰਗੇ ਦੀਪਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਉਪਰ) ਟੁਟ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਨਾ ਮੁੜੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੨੦੦੧॥
They were killed by Krishna like the moths, in search of the earthen lamp fall upon it, but do not return alive.2001.
ਜਬਸੈਨਹਨਿਯੋਘਨਸ੍ਯਾਮਸਭੈਰੁਕਮੀਕੁਪਕੈਤਬਐਸੇਕਹਿਓ॥
ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਤਦ ਰੁਕਮੀ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਜਬਗੂਜਰਹ੍ਵੈਧਨਬਾਨਗਹਿਯੋਛਤ੍ਰਾਪਨਛਤ੍ਰਿਨਤੇਤੋਰਹਿਓ॥
ਜਦ ਗਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਤੂੰ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆ (ਤਦ) ਛਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਛਤ੍ਰੀਪਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
When the army was killed by Krishna, then, getting infuriated Rukmi said his army, “When Krishna, the milkman can hold the bow and arrows, then the Kshatriyas should also perform this task firmly”
ਜਿਮਬੋਲਤਥੋਬਧਕੈਸਰਸ੍ਯਾਮਬਿਮੁੰਛਤਕੈਸੁਸਿਖਾਤੇਗਹਿਓ॥
ਜਿਉਂ ਹੀ (ਉਹ) ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਬਾਣ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਬੇਸੁਧ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਕੜ ਲਿਆ।
