ਮਨਿਧਨਛੀਨਿਤਾਹਿਤੇਲਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮਣੀ ਰੂਪ ਧਨ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ
ਤੋਹਿਤ੍ਰੀਆਕੋਅਤਿਦੁਖੁਦਯੋ॥੨੦੬੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੦੬੯॥
He has snatched away the jewel from him and in this way he has inflicted great suffering on your wife Satyabhama.”2069.
ਜਬਜਦੁਪਤਿਇਹਬਿਧਿਸੁਨਿਪਾਯੋ॥
ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਿਆ,
ਛੋਰਿਅਉਰਸਭਕਾਰਜਆਯੋ॥
(ਤਦ) ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਏ।
When Krishna heard this, he came to their side, leaving all other engagements
ਹਰਿਆਵਨਕ੍ਰਿਤਬਰਮੈਜਾਨੀ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ (ਦੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ) ਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ
ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾਸੋਬਾਤਬਖਾਨੀ॥੨੦੭੦॥
ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਦਸੀ ॥੨੦੭੦॥
When Kratvarma learnt about the coming of Krishna, he said to Shatdhanva,2070

ਕਹੁਸਤਿਧੰਨਾਬਾਤਅਬੈਹਮਕਿਆਕਰੈ॥
ਹੇ ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾ! ਹੁਣ ਗੱਲ ਦਸ, ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ।
ਕਹੋਪਰੈਕੈਜਾਇਕਹੋਲਰਿਕੈਮਰੈ॥
ਕਹੇਂ (ਤਾਂ) ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਪੈਰੀ) ਪੈ ਜਾਵਾਂ, ਕਹੇ (ਤਾਂ) ਲੜ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂ।
“O Shatdhavana! What should we do now? If you say, we shall run away or shall die fighting
ਦੁਇਮੈਇਕਮੁਹਿਬਾਤਕਹੋਸਮਝਾਇਕੈ॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਕੇ ਕਹਿ।
ਹੋਕੇਉਪਾਇਕੈਸ੍ਯਾਮਹਿਮਾਰੈਜਾਇਕੈ॥੨੦੭੧॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਉਪਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵਾਂ ॥੨੦੭੧॥
Advise and instruct me about one of them and tell me if there is any step, by which we can kill Krishna.2071.
ਕ੍ਰਿਤਬਰਮਾਕੀਬਾਤਸੁਨਤਤਿਨਿਯੌਕਹਿਯੋ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਤਬਰਮਾ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ,
ਜਦੁਪਤਿਬਲੀਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਹਨਿਯੋਅਰਿਜੋਚਹਿਯੋ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਿਆ (ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ)।
After hearing the words of Kratvarma, he said, “The enemy Krishna, whom you want to kill, he is a powerful and mighty warrior,
ਤਾਸੋਹਮਪੈਬਲਨਲਰੈਪੁਨਿਜਾਇਕੈ॥
ਫਿਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਲੜਨ ਦਾ ਬਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
“I have no such strength that I can fight against him
ਹੋਕੰਸਸੇਛਿਨਮੈਮਾਰਿਦਏਸੁਖਪਾਇਕੈ॥੨੦੭੨॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਛਿਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨੦੭੨॥
He has, without any special effort, killed person like Kansa in an instant.”2072.
ਬਤੀਆਸੁਨਿਤਿਹਕੀਅਕ੍ਰੂਰਪੈਆਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ (ਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ) ਅਕਰੂਰ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ।
ਪ੍ਰਭੁਦੁਬਿਧਾਕੋਭੇਦਸੁਤਾਹਿਸੁਨਾਯੋ॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ (ਵਲੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ) ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਦਾ ਭੇਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ।
Hearing his words, he came to Akrur and talked to him about his duality regarding Krishna.
ਤਿਨਕਹਿਯੋਅਬਸੁਨਿਤੇਰੋਇਹੀਉਪਾਇਹੈ॥
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੁਣ ਤੇਰੇ (ਬਚਣ ਦਾ) ਇਹੀ ਉਪਾ ਹੈ।
ਹੋਪ੍ਰਭਤੇਬਚਹੈਸੋਊਜੁਪ੍ਰਾਨਬਚਾਇਹੈ॥੨੦੭੩॥
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਬਚੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਭਜ ਕੇ) ਬਚਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ ॥੨੦੭੩॥
He replied, “There is only one step, which can be taken now and that is to run away in order to save the life from the Lord.”2073.

ਦੈਮਨਿਤਾਹਿਉਦਾਸਭਯੋਕਿਹਓਰਿਭਜੋਚਿਤਮੈਇਹਧਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਣੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ (ਬਰਮਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ) ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ ਭਜ ਜਾਵਾਂ।
ਮੈਅਪਰਾਧਕੀਓਹਰਿਕੋਮਨਿਹੇਤੁਬਲੀਸਤ੍ਰਾਜਿਤਮਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਮੈਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਣੀ (ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ) ਲਈ ਸਤ੍ਰਾਜਿਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Giving him the jewel, Kratvarma became sad and thought to which side he should run away? Killing Satrajit for the sake of jewel, I have committed a crime towards Krishna
ਤਾਹਿਕੇਹੇਤੁਗੁਸਾਕਰਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਸਭੈਅਪਨੋਪੁਰਖਤਸੰਭਾਰਿਯੋ॥
ਉਸੇ ਲਈ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
For the reason, Krishna has come back in great rage, in support of his strength
ਜਉਰਹਿਹਉਤਊਮਾਰਤਹੈਏਹਕੈਡਰੁਉਤਰਓਰਿਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ॥੨੦੭੪॥
ਜੇ ਮੈਂ (ਇਥੇ) ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ (ਇਹ) ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਡਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹ) ਉਤਰ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਲ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ॥੨੦੭੪॥
If I stay here, he will kill me, being frightened, he fled away towards the North.2074.

ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾਮਨਿਲੈਜਹਾਭਜਗਯੋਤ੍ਰਾਸਬਢਾਇ॥
ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾ ਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਡਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਿਥੇ ਭਜ ਕੇ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ,
ਸ੍ਯੰਦਨਪੈਚੜਿਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਤਹਹੀਪਹੁੰਚਿਯੋਜਾਇ॥੨੦੭੫॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਰਥ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ॥੨੦੭੫॥
Shatdhava becoming fearful and taking the jewel with him, wherever he went running away, Krishna reached there on his chariot.2075.
ਪਾਵਪਿਆਦੋਸਤ੍ਰਹੋਇਭਜਿਯੋਸੁਤ੍ਰਾਸਬਢਾਇ॥
ਡਰਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਵੈਰੀ (ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾ) ਪੈਰ ਪਿਆਦਾ ਹੀ ਭਜੀ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਤਬਜਦੁਬੀਰਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਸੋਮਾਰਿਯੋਤਾਕੋਜਾਇ॥੨੦੭੬॥
ਤਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੨੦੭੬॥
The enemy fled on foot in his fear, Krishna killed him there with his sword.2076.
ਖੋਜਤਭਯੋਤਿਹਮਾਰਕੈਮਨਿਨਹੀਆਈਹਾਥਿ॥
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ, (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਫੋਲਾ ਫਾਲੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਮਣੀ ਹੱਥ ਨਾ ਲਗੀ।
ਮਨਿਨਹੀਆਈਹਾਥਿਯੌਕਹਿਯੋਹਲੀਕੇਸਾਥ॥੨੦੭੭॥
(ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਣੀ ਹਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ ॥੨੦੭੭॥
After killing him and searching him, the jewel was not found and he told Balram about the news of not finding the jewel.2077.
ਸਵੈਯਾ॥

ਐਸੇਲਖਿਯੋਮੁਸਲੀਮਨਮੈਸੁਪ੍ਰਭੂਹਮਤੇਮਨਿਆਜਛਪਾਈ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਅਜ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮਣੀ ਲੁਕਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
Balram reflected that he had hidden the jewel from them
ਲੈਅਕ੍ਰੂਰਬਨਾਰਸਗਯੋਮਨਿਕਉਤਿਹਕੀਨਕਛੂਸੁਧਿਪਾਈ॥
ਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਰੂਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਨਾਰਸ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
The whereabouts of Akrur could not be known, but it was rumoured that he had gone to Banaras taking the jewel with him.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮਜੂਮੋਇਕਸਿਖ੍ਯਹੈਭੂਪਤਿਜਾਤਤਹਾਹਉਸੋਐਸੇਸੁਨਾਈ॥
(ਬਲਰਾਮ ਨੇ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਕਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸੁਣਾਇਆ, ਹੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ! ਇਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਚਲਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਯੌਬਤੀਯਾਕਹਿਜਾਤਰਹਿਯੋਜਦੁਬੀਰਕੀਕੈਮਨਮੈਦੁਚਿਤਾਈ॥੨੦੭੮॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ (ਉਹ) ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ, (ਪਰ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ (ਬੈਠੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ) ॥੨੦੭੮॥
“O Krishna! I have a student of mine there, who is a king and I am going there, “saying this Balram, thinking about the anxiety of Krishna, started going towards Banaras.2078.
ਦੋਹਰਾ॥

ਜਉਮੁਸਲੀਤਿਹਪੈਗਯੋਤਉਭੂਪਤਿਸੁਖੁਪਾਇ॥
ਜਦ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਉਸ (ਰਾਜੇ) ਕੋਲ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਿਆ
ਲੈਅਪੁਨੇਤਿਹਧਾਮਗਯੋਆਗੇਹੀਤੇਆਇ॥੨੦੭੯॥
ਅਤੇ ਅਗੋਂ ਦੀ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ॥੨੦੭੯॥
The king felt extremely pleased, when Balram reached there and welcoming him, he brought him to his home.2079.
ਗਦਾਜੁਧਮੈਅਤਿਚਤੁਰੁਯੌਸਭਤੇਸੁਨਿਪਾਇ॥
ਬਲਰਾਮ ਗਦਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚਤੁਰ ਜਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ
ਤਬੈਦੁਰਜੋਧਨਹਲੀਤੇਸਭਸੀਖੀਬਿਧਿਆਇ॥੨੦੮੦॥
ਤਦੋਂ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਨੇ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਆ ਕੇ (ਗਦਾ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਸਿਖ ਲਈ ॥੨੦੮੦॥
When the people came to know that Balram is a great expert in the mace-war, then Duryoodhana came to learn this science from his there.2080.

ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਦ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੁਆਰਿਕਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਇਆ, (ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਲਿਆ
ਕੰਚਨਕੋਅਕ੍ਰੂਰਬਨਾਰਸਦਾਨਕਰੈਬਹੁਯੌਸੁਨਿਪਾਯੋ॥
ਕਿ ਅਕਰੂਰ ਬਨਾਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੋਨਾ ਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
When Krishna came to Dwarka after killing Shatdhanva, then he came to know that Akrur is giving great amount of gold etc. in charity in Banaras
ਸੂਰਜਦਿਤਉਹੀਪਹਿਹੈਮਨਿਯੌਅਪਨੇਮਨਮੈਸੁਜਨਾਯੋ॥
(ਤਾਂ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਭਾਂਪ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਮਣੀ ਉਸੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ।
Krishna comprehended this in his mind that the Samantak jewel is with him
ਮਾਨਸਭੇਜਭਲੋਤਿਹਪੈਤਿਹਕੋਅਪੁਨੇਪਹਿਬੋਲਿਪਠਾਯੋ॥੨੦੮੧॥
(ਫਿਰ ਤੁਰਤ) ਇਕ ਭਲਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਸ ਬੁਲਵਾ ਲਿਆ ॥੨੦੮੧॥
He sent someone and called him at his place.2081.
ਜਉਹਰਿਪੈਸੋਊਆਵਤਭਯੋਤਿਹਤੇਮਨਿਤੋਇਨਮਾਗਿਲਈਹੈ॥
ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, (ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ (ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ) ਮਣੀ ਮੰਗ ਲਈ।
When he came to Krishna, he implored him give the jewel
ਸੂਰਜਜੇਤਿਹਰੀਝਿਦਈਧਨਸਤਿਕੀਜਾਹਿਤੁਦੇਹਗਈਹੈ॥
ਜੋ (ਮਣੀ) ਸੂਰਜ ਨੇ ਰੀਝ ਕੇ (ਸਤ੍ਰਾਜਿਤ) ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਤਿਧੰਨਾ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
Surya had given that jewel delightfully and for this Shatdhanva had been killed
