ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਤੀਆਂ, ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ, ਵੇਦਾਂ; ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਤਥਾ ਬਿਰੰਚਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬ੍ਯਾਸ ਅਰੁ ਸੁਕਦੇਵ, ਸ਼ੇਖਨਾਗ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਅਨੰਤ ਆਖਦਿਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਜਸ ਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਸਿਉਸਨਕਾਦਿਨਾਰਦਾਇਕਰਖੀਸੁਰਾਦਿਸੁਰਨਰਨਾਥਜੋਗਧਿਆਨਮੈਨਆਇਓਹੈ।
ਸ਼ਿਵਜੀ, ਸਨਕਾਦਿਕ ਮੁਨੀ, ਨਾਰਦ ਤੋਂ ਆਦਿ ਲੈ ਜੋ ਰਿਖੀਆਂ ਮੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ੍ਰਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ; ਸਿੱਧ ਨਾਥ ਆਦਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੋਗ ਸਾਧਦਿਆਂ ਜੋ ਧਿਆਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਿਆ।

ਉੱਚ ਪਰਬਤ ਹਿਮਾਲਯ ਸੇਵਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ, ਵਾ ਓਸ ਉਪਰ ਗਲ ਗਿਆਂ, ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਵਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਚਲ ਚਲ ਗਿਆਂ, ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ, ਵਰਤ ਸਾਧਿਆਂ, ਹੋਮ ਜੱਗ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ, ਤਥਾ ਨਈ ਵੇਦ ਭੋਗ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰਿਆਂ ਵਾ ਬੇਦ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਕੇ, ਜੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਿਆ।
They could not realise that infinite Lord even by roaming in jungles, mountains and places of pilgrimage, making charity, fasting, doing hom-yag and offering food and other delicacies to the gods.
ਅਸਵਡਭਾਗਿਮਾਇਆਮਧਗੁਰਸਿਖਨਕਉਪੂਰਨਬ੍ਰਹਮਗੁਰਰੂਪਹੁਇਦਿਖਾਇਓਹੈ।੫੪੩।
ਓਸੇ ਐਸੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰ ਵਿਹਾਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਰਤਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਵਡਭਾਗੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ ਹੋਵੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੪੩॥
Such fortunate and enjoying the worldly maya are the Sikhs of the Guru who are seeing the inaccessible Lord in the manifested state of a True Guru. (543)
