ਜੈਸੇਪ੍ਰਾਤਸਮੈਖਗੇਜਾਤਉਡਿਬਿਰਖਸੈਬਹੁਰਿਆਇਬੈਠਤਬਿਰਖਹੀਮੈਆਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਬਿਰਛ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਡ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਤੇ ਸੰਧ੍ਯਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੁੜ ਬਿਰਛ ਮੈਂ ਪੈ ਉਪਰ ਹੀ ਆਣ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Just as birds flyaway from the tree in the morning and return to the tree in the evening,

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀੜੇ ਖੁੱਡ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਪਰ ਫਿਰਨ ਤੁਰਨ ਲਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁੱਡ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਪਾਇਆ ਧਸਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Just as ants and insects come out of their burrows and walk about on the ground and return back to the burrow after their wandering,
ਲਰਕੈਲਰਿਕਾਰੂਠਿਜਾਤਤਾਤਮਾਤਸਨਭੂਖਲਾਗੈਤਿਆਗੈਹਠਆਵੈਪਛੁਤਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਕੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਬਾਲਕ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਰੁੱਸ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਭੁੱਖ ਲਗਿਆਂ ਹਠ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਪਛੋਤੌਂਦੇ ਮੁੜ ਆ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵਾ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਲੜਕੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਾਪ੍ਯਾਂ ਨਾਲ।
Just as a son leaves the house after an argument with his parents, and when experiences hunger gives up his obduracy and returns repentantly,

ਤਿਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਘਰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਬਾਸ ਬਨੋਬਾਸੀ ਅਤੀਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਮੁੜ ਦੌੜ ਦੌੜ ਭਟਕ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਤੱਕਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੫੪੮॥
