ਜੈਸੇਨਰਪਤਿਬਨਿਤਾਅਨੇਕਬ੍ਯਾਹਤਹੈਜਾਕੇਸੁਤਜਨਮਹ੍ਵੈਤਾਂਹੀਗ੍ਰਿਹਰਾਜਹੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਨੇਕ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਆਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਤਰ ਜੰਮ ਪਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰਾਜ ਸਮਝੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a king marries many women, but one who gives birth to a son is honoured with bestowing of kingdom.
ਜੈਸੇਦਧਬੋਹਥਬਹਾਇਦੇਤਚਹੂੰਓਰਜੋਈਪਾਰਪਹੁੰਚੈਪੂਰਨਸਭਕਾਜਹੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤਰਾਈ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਾਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Just as many ships sail in all directions of the sea, but one that reaches the shore beyond proves profitable.
ਜੈਸੇਖਾਨਖਨਤਅਨੰਤਖਨਵਾਰੋਖੋਜੈਹੀਰਾਹਾਥਆਵੈਜਾਕੈਤਾਂਕੇਬਾਜੁਬਾਜਹੈ।

ਤਿਵੇਂ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਨਵਾਂ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ, ਜਿਸ ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਵੇ,ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਫਬਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੫੬੩॥
Similarly, a Sikh of the Guru whether new or old devotee who gets a look of grace of the True Guru, earns honour, glory and praise. (563)
