ਜੈਸੇਤਉਚੰਪਕਬੇਲਬਿਬਧਬਿਥਾਰਚਾਰੁਬਾਸਨਾਪ੍ਰਗਟਹੋਤਫੁਲਹੀਮੈਜਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚੰਬੇ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਛੀ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Just as Champa (Michelia champacca) creeper is spread all over but its fragrance is felt only in its flowers.
ਜੈਸੇਦ੍ਰੁਮਦੀਰਘਸ੍ਵਰੂਪਦੇਖੀਐਪ੍ਰਸਿਧਸ੍ਵਾਦਰਸਹੋਤਫਲਹੀਮੈਪੁਨਆਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸ੍ਵਾਦ ਕੌੜਾ ਜਾਂ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਤੇ ਰਸ ਫਿਰ ਫਲ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਆ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Just as a tree is seen to spread all over but sweetness or bitterness of its character is known only from tasting its fruit.
ਜੈਸੇਗੁਰਗ੍ਯਾਨਰਾਗਨਾਦਹਿਰਦੈਬਸਤਕਰਤਪ੍ਰਕਾਸਤਾਸਰਸਨਾਰਸਾਇਕੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਰਾਗ ਤੇ ਨਾਦ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਰਸਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਸਾ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਦੀਕ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਵੇ।
Just as the Naam incantation of the True Guru, its melody and tune resides in the heart but its radiance is present on the tongue drenched with elixir-like Naam.

ਤਿਵੇਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰਨ ਰੂਪ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਤਦ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ ॥੫੮੬॥
Similarly, the Supreme Lord is residing completely in everyone's heart but He can be realised only by taking the refuge of True Guru and great souls. (586)
