ਕਿਹੜੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰੀਏ, ਕਿਹੜੀ ਮੋਹਨਹਾਰ ਵਸਤੂ ਨਾਲ ਜਗਮੋਹਨ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰੀਏ?
Singing what virtues of the treasure-house of merits can we please Him? With what pleasant actions can we enamor the bewitcher of the world?
ਕੌਨਸੁਖਦੈਕੈਸੁਖਸਾਗਰਸਰਣਗਹੌਂਭੂਖਨਕਵਨਚਿੰਤਾਮਣਿਮਨਮੋਹੀਐ।
ਕਿਹੜਾ ਸੁਖ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਫੜੀਏ, ਕਿਹੜੇ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੰਤਾਮਣੀ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਕਰੀਏ?
What comfort can be offered to the sea of comforts that would provide us His refuge? With what embellishments can we captivate the mind of the Lord who fulfils all desires?
ਕੋਟਿਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਂਡਕੇਨਾਯਕਕੀਨਾਯਕਾਹ੍ਵੈਕੈਸੇਅੰਤ੍ਰਜਾਮੀਕੌਨਉਕਤਕੈਬੋਹੀਐ।
ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਂਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਨਾਇਕ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋਈਏ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝਾ ਸਕੀਏ।
How can one become the wife of the Lord-Master of millions of Universes? With what means and methods can the knower of inner things be apprised of the anguish of the mind?
ਤਨੁਮਨੁਧਨੁਹੈਸਰਬਸੁਬਿਸ੍ਵਜਾਂਕੈਬਸੁਕੈਸੇਬਸੁਆਵੈਜਾਂਕੀਸੋਭਾਲਗਸੋਹੀਐ।੬੦੨।
ਤਨ ਮਨ ਧਨ ਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਰਬੰਸ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵੱਸ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦੨॥
The Lord who has the mind, body, wealth and the world in His control, involvement in whose praise one becomes adorable; how can such a Lord be brought in one's favour? (602)
