ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਨਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਫਲਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਚੰਦਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਚੰਦਨ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਤਿਵੇਂ ਜਗਿਆਸੂਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੋ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਹਨ ਪਰਵਿਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਨਿਵਿਰਤੀ ਸੋ ਜਿਸ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਗਿਆਸੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ, ਅਪਣੇ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਪੱਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬੦੩॥
