ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਵਿਚ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ

ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਯੁੱਧ (ਦੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕੈਲਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਛੁਟ ਗਿਆ।

Scanning the forces of Mahishasura, the goddess pulling up her strength,
ਕਛੁਸਿੰਘਹਿਕਛੁਚਕ੍ਰਸੋਡਾਰੇਸਭੈਸੰਘਾਰਿ॥੪੪॥
ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਚੱਕਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੪੪॥

ਇਕਭਾਜੈਨ੍ਰਿਪਪੈਗਏਕਹਿਓਹਤੀਸਭਸੈਨ॥
ਕੁਝ (ਸੈਨਿਕ) ਭਜ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ (ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ) ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਜੂਝਪਰੀਸਭਸੈਨਲਖੀਜਬਤੌਮਹਖਾਸੁਰਖਗਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ॥
ਜਦ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਜੂਝ ਮਰਿਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਖੰਡਾ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ
Knowing about the destruction of all his forces in the war, Mahishasura held up his sword.,
ਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਕੇਸਾਮੁਹਿਜਾਇਭਇਆਨਕਭਾਲਕਜਿਉਭਭਕਾਰਿਓ॥
ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਰਿਛ ਵਾਂਗ ਭਬਕ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਗਿਆ।

ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਗਦਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਲ-ਪੂਰਵਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ (ਇਉਂ) ਸੁਟਿਆ

ਜਿਉਂ ਹਨੂਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਨੂੰ ਉਖਾੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ ॥੪੬॥

ਫਿਰ (ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ) ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਫੜ ਕੇ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ) ਸੂਰਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਮੰਗਿਆ।
Then he held up bows and arrows in his hand , killed the warriors, who could not ask for water before dying.,
ਘਾਇਲਘੂਮਪਰੇਰਨਮਾਹਿਕਰਾਹਤਹੈਗਿਰਸੇਗਜਲੰਗੇ॥
ਜ਼ਖਮੀ (ਯੋਧੇ) ਘੁਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਾਥੀ ਲੰਗੜੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਰਾਹ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
The wounded warriors were moving in the field like lame elephants.,
ਸੂਰਨਕੇਤਨਕਉਚਨਸਾਥਿਪਰੇਧਰਿਭਾਉਉਠੇਤਹਚੰਗੇ॥
ਕਵਚਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢਕੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਪਏ (ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਵੀ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਚੰਗੇ ਭਾਵ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ,
The bodies of the warriors were moving their armours were lying fried up on the ground.,
ਜਾਨੋਦਵਾਬਨਮਾਝਲਗੇਤਹਕੀਟਨਭਛਕੌਦਉਰੇਭੁਜੰਗੇ॥੪੭॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਗ ਲਗ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਥੇ ਕੀੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਸੱਪ ਭਜੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੪੭॥
As if the forest is on fire and the snakes are running to reed themselves on the fast moving worms.47.,
ਕੋਪਭਰੀਰਨਿਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਸੁਪ੍ਰੇਰਕੇਸਿੰਘਧਸੀਰਨਮੈ॥
ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਵੜੀ

ਕਰਵਾਰਲੈਲਾਲਕੀਏਅਰਿਖੇਤਿਲਗੀਬੜਵਾਨਲਜਿਉਬਨਮੈ॥
ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ (ਦੇ ਜ਼ਖਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ) ਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਗ ਲਗੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
Holding her sword in her hand, she dyed the battlefield in red as if the forest is on fire.,
ਤਬਘੇਰਿਲਈਚਹੂੰਓਰਤੇਦੈਤਨਇਉਉਪਮਾਉਪਜੀਮਨਮੈ॥
ਤਦੋਂ (ਦੇਵੀ ਨੂੰ) ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ।
