ਕਾਨਸੁਨੀਧੁਨਿਦੇਵਨਕੀਸਭਦਾਨਵਮਾਰਨਕੋਪ੍ਰਨਕੀਨੋ॥
(ਜਦ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੇ) ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਲਾਹਟ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੀ (ਤਦ) ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਗਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ।
When the most powerful Chandika heard the cries of gods with her own ears, she avowed to kill all the demons.,
ਹੁਇਕੈਪ੍ਰਤਛਮਹਾਬਰਚੰਡਿਸੁਕ੍ਰੁਧਹ੍ਵੈਜੁਧਬਿਖੈਮਨਦੀਨੋ॥
ਮਹਾ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਚੰਡੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਖ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਲ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜਿਆ।
The mighty goddess manifested herself and in great rage, she engrossed her mind in thoughts of war.,
ਭਾਲਕੋਫੋਰਕੈਕਾਲੀਭਈਲਖਿਤਾਛਬਿਕੋਕਬਿਕੋਮਨਭੀਨੋ॥
(ਦੁਰਗਾ ਦਾ) ਮੱਥਾ ਫੋੜ ਕੇ ਕਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਛਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਵੀ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਇਹ ਉਪਮਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ) ਲਲਚਾਇਆ;
At that juncture, the goddess Kali appeared by bursting. Her forehead, visualizing this it appeared to the poet’s mind,
ਦੈਤਸਮੂਹਿਬਿਨਾਸਨਕੋਜਮਰਾਜਤੇਮ੍ਰਿਤਮਨੋਭਵਲੀਨੋ॥੭੪॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦਾ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਯਮ-ਰਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੭੪॥
That in order to destroy all the demos, the death had incarnated in the form of Kali.74.,
ਪਾਨਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਧਰੇਬਲਵਾਨਸੁਕੋਪਕੈਬਿਜੁਲਜਿਉਗਰਜੀਹੈ॥
ਬਲਵਾਨ (ਕਾਲੀ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਰਜੀ ਹੈ।
That powerful goddess, taking the sword in her hand, in great ire, thundered like lightning.,
ਮੇਰੁਸਮੇਤਹਲੇਗਰੂਏਗਿਰਸੇਸਕੇਸੀਸਧਰਾਲਰਜੀਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗਰਜਨਾ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਸਮੇਤ ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ('ਗਰੂਏ') ਪਹਾੜ ਹਿਲ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼-ਨਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਟਿਕੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਕੰਬ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
Hearing her thunder, the great mountains like Sumeru shook and the earth resting on the hood of Sheshnaga trembled.,
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਧਨੇਸਦਿਨੇਸਡਰਿਓਸੁਨਕੈਹਰਿਕੀਛਤੀਆਤਰਜੀਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਗਰਜ ਨੂੰ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ, ਕੁਬੇਰ, ਸੂਰਜ ਆਦਿ ਡਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ (ਹਰਿ) ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਵੀ ਧੜਕਣ ਲਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
Brahma, Kuber, Sun etc., were frightened and the chest of Shiva throbbed.,
ਚੰਡਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਅਖੰਡਲੀਏਕਰਿਕਾਲਿਕਾਕਾਲਹੀਜਿਉਅਰਜੀਹੈ॥੭੫॥
ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਤਿਖੀ ਅਖੰਡ (ਤਲਵਾਰ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਾਲਕਾ ਕਾਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੭੫॥
Highly glorious Chandi, in her blanced state, creating Kalika like death, spoke thus.75.,

DOHRA,
ਨਿਰਖਚੰਡਕਾਤਾਸਕੋਤਬੈਬਚਨਇਹਕੀਨ॥
ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ (ਕਾਲਕਾ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਤਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ
Chandika, seeing her, thus spoke to her,
ਹੇਪੁਤ੍ਰੀਤੂੰਕਾਲਿਕਾਹੋਹੁਜੁਮੁਝਮੈਲੀਨ॥੭੬॥
ਕਿ ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਕਾਲਕਾ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾ ॥੭੬॥
“O my daughter Kalika, merge in me.”76.,
ਸੁਨਤਬਚਨਯਹਚੰਡਿਕੋਤਾਮਹਿਗਈਸਮਾਇ॥
ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ (ਕਾਲਕਾ) ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾ ਗਈ
Hearing these words of Chandi, she merged in her,
ਜਿਉਗੰਗਾਕੀਧਾਰਮੈਜਮੁਨਾਪੈਠੀਧਾਇ॥੭੭॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗੰਗਾ ਦੇ ਵਹਿਣ ਵਿਚ ਜਮਨਾ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੭੭॥
Like Yamuna falling into the current of Ganges.77.,
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ:
SWAYYA,
ਬੈਠਤਬੈਗਿਰਿਜਾਅਰੁਦੇਵਨਬੁਧਿਇਹੈਮਨਮਧਿਬਿਚਾਰੀ॥
ਤਦ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ
Then the goddess Parvati together with the gods, reflected thus in their minds,
ਜੁਧਕੀਏਬਿਨੁਫੇਰਫਿਰੈਨਹਿਭੂਮਿਸਭੈਅਪਨੀਅਵਧਾਰੀ॥
ਕਿ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਫਿਰ (ਉਹ) ਸਾਰੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤਦੀ (ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ) ਆਪਣਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸੀ।
That the demons are considering the earth as their own, it is futile to get it back without the war.,
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਕਹਿਓਅਬਢੀਲਬਨੇਨਹਿਮਾਤਸੁਨੋਯਹਬਾਤਹਮਾਰੀ॥
ਇੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ! ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ, ਹੁਣ ਢਿਲ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦੀ।
Indra said, “O mother, listen to my supplication, we should not delay any more.”,
ਦੈਤਨਕੇਬਧਕਾਜਚਲੀਰਣਿਚੰਡਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਭੁਜੰਗਨਿਕਾਰੀ॥੭੮॥
(ਫਲਸਰੂਪ) ਕਾਲੀ ਸੱਪਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੈਂਤ ਦੇ ਸੰਘਾਰ ਲਈ ਯੁੱਧਭੂਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਚਲ ਪਈ ॥੭੮॥
Then the mighty Chhandi like a terrible black she-serpent, moved into the battlefield, in order to kill the demons.78.,
ਕੰਚਨਸੇਤਨਖੰਜਨਸੇਦ੍ਰਿਗਕੰਜਨਕੀਸੁਖਮਾਸਕੁਚੀਹੈ॥
(ਦੇਵੀ ਦਾ) ਸੋਨੇ ਵਰਗਾ (ਚਮਕਦਾਰ) ਸ਼ਰੀਰ, ਮਮੋਲੇ (ਪੰਛੀ) ਵਰਗੀਆਂ (ਸੁੰਦਰ) ਅੱਖਾਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਮਲ ਦੀ ਕੋਮਲਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
The body of the goddess is like gold, and her eyes are like the eyes of mamola (wagtail), before which the beauty of lotus in feeling shy.,
ਲੈਕਰਤਾਰਸੁਧਾਕਰਮੈਮਧਮੂਰਤਿਸੀਅੰਗਅੰਗਰਚੀਹੈ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ('ਸੁਧਾ') ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੁਤਲੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਗ-ਅੰਗ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
It seems that the creator, taking ambrosia in His hand, hath created an entity, saturated with nectar in every limb.,
ਆਨਨਕੀਸਰਕੋਸਸਿਨਾਹਿਨਅਉਰਕਛੂਉਪਮਾਨਬਚੀਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮੁਖ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਟ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਉਪਮਾ (ਬਾਕੀ) ਬਚੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
The moon doth not present an appropriate comparison for the face of goddess, nothing else also cannot be compared.,
ਸ੍ਰਿੰਗਸੁਮੇਰਕੇਚੰਡਿਬਿਰਾਜਤਮਾਨੋਸਿੰਘਾਸਨਬੈਠੀਸਚੀਹੈ॥੭੯॥
(ਅਜਿਹੀ) ਚੰਡੀ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਉਤੇ ਸਚੀ (ਇੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ) ਬੈਠੀ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੭੯॥
The goddess sitting on the summit of Sumeru appears like the queen of Indra (Sachi) seated on her throne.79.,

ਐਸੇਸ੍ਰਿੰਗਸੁਮੇਰਕੇਸੋਭਤਚੰਡਿਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ॥
ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ
The powerful Chandi looks splendid on the summit of Sumeru thus,
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਹਾਸਕਰਿਬਰਧਰੇਜਨਜਮਲੀਨੇਦੰਡ॥੮੦॥
ਇੰਜ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਹੈ ਮਾਨੋ ਯਮਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਡੰਡਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੮੦॥
With the sword in her hand she seems like Yama carrying his club.80.,
ਕਿਸੀਕਾਜਕੋਦੈਤਇਕਆਇਓਹੈਤਿਹਠਾਇ॥
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕੋਈ ਦੈਂਤ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਉਥੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ
For unknown reason, one of the demons came to that site.,
ਨਿਰਖਰੂਪਬਰੁਚੰਡਿਕੋਗਿਰਿਓਮੂਰਛਾਖਾਹਿ॥੮੧॥
ਅਤੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬੇਸੁਧ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ ॥੮੧॥
When he saw the horrible form of Kali, he fell down unconscious.81.,
ਉਠਿਸੰਭਾਰਿਕਰਜੋਰਕੈਕਹੀਚੰਡਸੋਬਾਤ॥
(ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ ਉਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ
When he came to his senses, that demon, pulling himself up, said to the goddess,
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਸੁੰਭਕੋਭਾਤਹੌਕਹ੍ਯੋਬਚਨਸੁਕਚਾਤ॥੮੨॥
ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਹਾਂ। ਫਿਰ ਝਕਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਬੋਲਿਆ ॥੮੨॥
“I am the brother of king Sumbh,” then the added with some hesitation,82
ਤੀਨਲੋਕਜਿਨਿਬਸਿਕੀਏਅਤਿਬਲਭੁਜਾਅਖੰਡ॥
ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਭੁਜਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ,
“He hath brought under his control all the three worlds with his mighty armed strength,
ਐਸੋਭੂਪਤਿਸੁੰਭਹੈਤਾਹਿਬਰੇਬਰਿਚੰਡ॥੮੩॥
ਅਜਿਹੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਹੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਦੇਵੀ! ਤੂੰ ਵਰ ਲੈ ॥੮੩॥
“Such is the king Sumbh, O Superb Chandi, marry him.”83.,
ਸੁਨਿਰਾਕਸਕੀਬਾਤਕੋਦੇਵੀਉੱਤਰਦੀਨ॥
(ਉਸ) ਦੈਂਤ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਉਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ
Hearing the words of the demon, the goddess replied thus:,
ਜੁਧਕਰੈਬਿਨੁਨਹਿਬਰੋਸੁਨਹੁਦੈਤਮਤਹੀਨ॥੮੪॥
ਕਿ ਹੇ ਬੁੱਧੀ-ਹੀਨ ਦੈਂਤ! ਸੁਣ, ਮੈਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਨਹੀਂ ਵਰਾਂਗੀ (ਭਾਵ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਤ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੮੪॥
“O foolish demon, I cannot marry him without waging the war.”84.,
ਇਹਸੁਨਿਦਾਨਵਚਪਲਗਤਿਗਇਓਸੁੰਭਕੇਪਾਸ॥
ਇਹ (ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੁੰਭ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ।
Hearing this, that demon went to king Sumbh very swiftly,
ਪਰਿਪਾਇਨਕਰਜੋਰਕੈਕਰੀਏਕਅਰਦਾਸ॥੮੫॥
ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਇਕ ਅਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ॥੮੫॥
And with folded hands, falling at his feet, he supplicated thus:85.,
ਅਉਰਰਤਨਨ੍ਰਿਪਧਾਮਤੁਅਤ੍ਰੀਆਰਤਨਤੇਹੀਨ॥
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਤਨ ਹਨ, ਪਰ (ਤੇਰਾ ਘਰ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਰਤਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਖਣਾ ਹੈ।
“O king, Thou hast all other gems except the gem of wife,
ਬਧੂਏਕਬਨਮੈਬਸੈਤਿਹਤੁਮਬਰੋਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ॥੮੬॥
ਇਕ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ (ਰਾਜੇ)! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਰ ਲਵੋ ॥੮੬॥
“One beautiful woman lives in the forest, O adept one, marry her.”86.,
ਸੋਰਠਾ॥
ਸੋਰਠਾ:
SORATHA,
ਸੁਨੀਮਨੋਹਰਿਬਾਤਨ੍ਰਿਪਬੂਝਿਓਪੁਨਿਤਾਹਿਕੋ॥
ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮਨਮੋਹਕ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੀ (ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਫਿਰ ਪੁਛਿਆ
When the king heard these bewitching words, he said,
ਮੋਸੋਕਹਿਯੈਭ੍ਰਾਤਬਰਨਨਤਾਹਿਸਰੀਰਕੋ॥੮੭॥
ਕਿ ਹੇ ਭਰਾ! ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ (ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਦਾ) ਬ੍ਰਿੱਤਾਂਤ ਸੁਣਾ ॥੮੭॥
“O brother, tell me, how she looks?”87.,
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ:
SWAYYA,
ਹਰਿਸੋਮੁਖਹੈਹਰਿਤੀਦੁਖਹੈਅਲਿਕੈਹਰਹਾਰਪ੍ਰਭਾਹਰਿਨੀਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ) ਮੁਖ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਦੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੰਬੀਆਂ) ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ (ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਦੇ) ਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਤ ਪਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
“Her face is like the moon, seeing which all the sufferings are effaced, her curly hair even steal the beauty of snakes.
ਲੋਚਨਹੈਹਰਿਸੇਸਰਸੇਹਰਿਸੇਭਰੁਟੇਹਰਿਸੀਬਰੁਨੀਹੈ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ) ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖਿੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਮਲ ਦੇ ਫੁਲ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਭਰਵਟੇ ਕਮਾਨ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਤੀਰ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ।
“Her eyes are like the blossomed lotus, her eyebrows are like bow and her eyelashes like arrows.
ਕੇਹਰਿਸੋਕਰਿਹਾਚਲਬੋਹਰਿਪੈਹਰਿਕੀਹਰਿਨੀਤਰਨੀਹੈ॥
ਲਕ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਰਗਾ (ਪਤਲਾ) ਹੈ, ਚਾਲ ਹਾਥੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਰਤਿ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ)।
“Her waist is slim like that of a lion, her gait is like that of an elephant and makes shyful the glory of the wife of Cupaid.,
ਹੈਕਰਮੈਹਰਿਪੈਹਰਿਸੋਹਰਿਰੂਪਕੀਏਹਰਕੀਧਰਨੀਹੈ॥੮੮॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ੇਰ ਉਤੇ (ਸਵਾਰ) ਹੈ, ਸੂਰਜ ਵਰਗੇ ਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੈ ॥੮੮॥
“She hath a sword in her hand and rides a lion, she is most magnificent like the sun the wife of god Shiva.88.

KABIT,
ਮੀਨਮੁਰਝਾਨੇਕੰਜਖੰਜਨਖਿਸਾਨੇਅਲਿਫਿਰਤਦਿਵਾਨੇਬਨਿਡੋਲੈਜਿਤਤਿਤਹੀ॥
(ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੰਚਲ) ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਮੱਛੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਮਲ ਤੇ ਖੰਜਨ ਲਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੌਰੇ ਦਿਵਾਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਧਰ ਉਧਰ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
“Seeing the playfulness of the eyes, the big fish becomes shy, the tenderness makes the lotus shyful and the beauty makes the wagtail coy, considering the face as lotus, the black bees in their madness wander hither and thither in the forest.
ਕੀਰਅਉਕਪੋਤਬਿੰਬਕੋਕਿਲਾਕਲਾਪੀਬਨਿਲੂਟੇਫੂਟੇਫਿਰੈਮਨਿਚੈਨਹੂੰਨਕਿਤਹੀ॥
(ਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਤੋਤੇ, (ਗਰਦਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਕਬੂਤਰ, (ਹੋਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਕੁੰਦਰੁ ਫਲ, (ਬੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਕੋਇਲ, ਅਤੇ ਮੋਰ (ਕਲਾਪੀ) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਚੈਨ ਖੋਹ ਕੇ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਲੁਟੇ ਪੁਟੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
