ਦਾਰਿਮਦਰਕਗਇਓਪੇਖਿਦਸਨਨਿਪਾਤਿਰੂਪਹੀਕੀਕ੍ਰਾਂਤਿਜਗਿਫੈਲਰਹੀਸਿਤਹੀ॥
(ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੰਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਨਾਰ ਫਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਪ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ (ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤ) ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪਸਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
“Seeing the row of teeth, the heart of pomegranate hath burst, the luster of her beauty is spreading like moonshine in the world.
ਐਸੀਗੁਨਸਾਗਰਉਜਾਗਰਸੁਨਾਗਰਿਹੈਲੀਨੋਮਨਮੇਰੋਹਰਿਨੈਨਕੋਰਿਚਿਤਹੀ॥੮੯॥
ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ (ਨਾਗਰ) ਅਜਿਹੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਟਾਛ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੮੯॥
“That most beautiful damsel hath manifested herself and the ocean of suchlike qualities, she hath captivated my mind with the sharpness of her eyes.”89.

DOHRA,
ਬਾਤਦੈਤਕੀਸੁੰਭਸੁਨਿਬੋਲਿਓਕਛੁਮੁਸਕਾਤ॥
(ਉਸ) ਦੈਂਤ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੁੰਭ ਕੁਝ ਮੁਸਕਰਾ ਕੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਗਾ
Hearing the words of the demon, the king Sumbh said smilingly,
ਚਤੁਰਦੂਤਕੋਊਭੇਜੀਏਲਖਿਆਵੈਤਿਹਘਾਤ॥੯੦॥
ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਦਾਉ ਵੇਖ ਆਵੇ ॥੯੦॥
“Some expert spy be sent there in order to know her ingenuity.”90.,
ਬਹੁਰਿਕਹੀਉਨਦੈਤਅਬਕੀਜੈਏਕਬਿਚਾਰ॥
ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਦੈਂਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਇਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰੋ
That demon said again, “It may now be considered,
ਜੋਲਾਇਕਭਟਸੈਨਮੈਭੇਜਹੁਦੈਅਧਿਕਾਰ॥੯੧॥
ਕਿ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿਚ ਜੋ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਇਸ (ਕੰਮ ਲਈ) ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ॥੯੧॥
“To send the most efficient warrior in the army giving him authority.”91.,
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ:
SWAYYA,
ਬੈਠੋਹੁਤੋਨ੍ਰਿਪਮਧਿਸਭਾਉਠਿਕੈਕਰਿਜੋਰਿਕਹਿਓਮਮਜਾਊ॥
(ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠੇ (ਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨ ਨੇ) ਨੇ ਉਠ ਕੇ ਹੱਥ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ "ਮੈਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
The king was seated in his court and there with folded hands (Dhumar Lochan) said, I will go,
ਬਾਤਨਤੇਰਿਝਵਾਇਮਿਲਾਇਹੋਨਾਤੁਰਿਕੇਸਨਤੇਗਹਿਲਿਆਊ॥
ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਚੰਡੀ ਨੂੰ) ਫੁਸਲਾ ਕੇ (ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਕੜ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ।
“Firstly, I shall please her with talk, otherwise, I shall bring her, seizing her by her hair,
ਕ੍ਰੁਧ੍ਰਕਰੇਤਬਜੁਧੁਕਰੇਰਣਿਸ੍ਰਉਣਤਕੀਸਰਤਾਨਬਹਾਊ॥
(ਜੇ ਉਹ) ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਹੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਵਹਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
“If she makes me furious, I shall wage the war with her and cause the steams of blood to flow in the battlefield,
ਲੋਚਨਧੂਮਕਹੈਬਲਆਪਨੋਸ੍ਵਾਸਨਸਾਥਪਹਾਰਉਡਾਊ॥੯੨॥
ਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨ (ਸੁੰਭ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿਚ) ਆਪਣਾ ਬਲ ਦਸਣ ਲਗਾ ਕਿ (ਮੈਂ) ਫੂਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ (ਸੁਮੇਰ) ਪਰਬਤ ਉਡਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ" ॥੯੨॥
“I have so much strength that I can make the mountains fly with the blowing of my breaths,” said Dhumar Lochan.92.,

ਉਠੇਬੀਰਕੋਦੇਖਕੈਸੁੰਭਕਹੀਤੁਮਜਾਹੁ॥
(ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਖੜੋਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਯੁੱਧਵੀਰ (ਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨ) ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੂੰ ਜਾ,
Seeing that warrior getting up, Sumbh told him to go:,
ਰੀਝੈਆਵੈਆਨੀਓਖੀਝੇਜੁਧਕਰਾਹੁ॥੯੩॥
ਜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਲੈ ਆਈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਖਿਝੇ ਤਾਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰੀਂ ॥੯੩॥
“Bring her if she is pleased to come, if she is furious, then wage the war.”93.,
ਤਹਾਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨਚਲੇਚਤੁਰੰਗਨਦਲੁਸਾਜਿ॥
ਉਦੋਂ ਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨ ਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਚਲ ਪਿਆ
Then Dhumar Lochan went there after arranging the four parts of his army.,
ਗਿਰਘੇਰਿਓਘਨਘਟਾਜਿਉਗਰਜਗਰਜਗਜਰਾਜ॥੯੪॥
ਤੇ (ਸੁਮੇਰ) ਪਰਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲੀ ਘਟਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਗੱਜਣ ਲਗਾ ॥੯੪॥
Like dark clouds, he besieged the mountain (of the goddess), thundering like the king of elephants.94.,
ਧੂਮ੍ਰਨੈਨਗਿਰਰਾਜਤਟਿਊਚੇਕਹੀਪੁਕਾਰਿ॥
ਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨ ਨੇ ਸੁਮੇਰ (ਗਿਰ ਰਾਜ) ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ,
Dhumar Lochan then shouted loudly, standing on the base of the mountain,
ਕੈਬਰੁਸੁੰਭਨ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਕੋਕੈਲਰਚੰਡਿਸੰਭਾਰਿ॥੯੫॥
(ਹੇ ਦੇਵੀ!) ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੁੰਭ ਨੂੰ ਵਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾ ॥੯੫॥
“O Chandi, either marry the king Sumbh or wage the war.”95.,
ਰਿਪੁਕੇਬਚਨਸੁੰਨਤਹੀਸਿੰਘਭਈਅਸਵਾਰ॥
ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ (ਚੰਡੀ ਦੇਵੀ) ਸ਼ੇਰ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ
Hearing the words of the enemy, the goddess mounted her lion.,
ਗਿਰਤੇਉਤਰੀਬੇਗਦੈਕਰਿਆਯੁਧਸਭਧਾਰਿ॥੯੬॥
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਅਸ ਤ੍ਰ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਾੜੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਰ ਆਈ ॥੯੬॥
She descended the mountain swiftly, holding the weapons in her hands.96.,
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ॥
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ:

ਕੋਪਕੈਚੰਡਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਚੜੀਇਤਕ੍ਰੁਧੁਕੈਧੂਮ੍ਰਚੜੈਉਤਸੈਨੀ॥
ਇਧਰੋਂ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਚੜ੍ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਧਰੋਂ ਧੂਮ੍ਰਲੋਚਨ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ।
From that side, the powerful Chandi marched forward in great furry and from this side, the army of Dhumar Lochan moved forward.,
ਬਾਨਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਨਮਾਰਮਚੀਤਬਦੇਵੀਲਈਬਰਛੀਕਰਿਪੈਨੀ॥
ਤੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੂਬ ਮਾਰ ਮਚੀ, ਤਦ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੇ ਤੀਖਣ ਬਰਛੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਫੜ ਲਈ।
There were great slayings with shafts and swards, the goddess held up the sharp dagger in her hand.
