BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
भुजंग प्रयात छंद ॥
ਖੁਲੇਖਗਖੂਨੀਮਹਾਬੀਰਖੇਤੰ॥
ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਖ਼ੂਨੀ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਮਿਆਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਢ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
खुले खग खूनी महाबीर खेतं ॥
ਨਚੇਬੀਰਬੈਤਾਲਯੰਭੂਤਪ੍ਰੇਤੰ॥
ਬੀਰ-ਬੈਤਾਲ, ਭੂਤ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਆਦਿ (ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਨਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
The brave warriors are moving in the battlefield with naked swords, smeared with blood, evil spirits, ghosts, fiends and goblins are dancing.
नचे बीर बैतालयं भूत प्रेतं ॥
ਬਜੇਡੰਗਡਉਰੂਉਠੇਨਾਦਸੰਖੰ॥
ਡਉਰੂ ਡੰਕ ਡੰਕ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਸੰਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਘੋਰ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਉਠ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ,
बजे डंग डउरू उठे नाद संखं ॥
ਮਨੋਮਲਜੁਟੇਮਹਾਹਥਬਖੰ॥੪੯॥
ਮਾਨੋ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਥਮ-ਗੁਥਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣ ॥੪੯॥
The tabor and small drum resound and the sound of conches arises. It appears that the wrestlers, holding with their hands the waists of their opponents are trying to throw them down.49.
